Strong community support is the backbone that allows SETCH to provide equine-assisted activities to over 300 children and adults faced with physical, mental or emotional disabilities. Your assistance gives our students the opportunity to gain strength, develop independence and confidence, and improve outlook on life through working with their equine partners. Auction Rules
Check-in: upon entering the arena, all guests will be given a paddle number at the registration table. Please use your paddle number to bid on the Silent or Live Auction and for scholarship pledges. Bids and pledges without paddle number will not be valid, nor will bids placed after the auction area is closed.
Quick Check: If you authorized SETCH to charge your purchases and donations to your credit card when you checked-in (or when you purchased your tickets) you may go directly to pick-up your silent auction items at the display tables and your live auction packets at the special Quick-Check Line. If you’re not sure what you purchased, the Quick-Check Line will also have a complete copy of your invoice. We also will be sending the complete invoice to you at your mailing address. Check-out: 30 minutes after the conclusion of the auction the Check-Out desk located at the north end of the arena will open. You may pay for your purchase with either: cash, a personal check, Visa, Mastercard or American Express. State sales tax will be added where applicable. Once you have paid for your items, you will be given a receipt stamped “paid.” Transfer of Items: to pick up your items, present your “paid” receipt to the person(s) monitoring the item(s). If possible, please take your items home with you the night of the ball. If an item it too large to place in your vehicle, please make arrangements with SETCH personnel to pick up your item the next day by calling (208) 578-9111. Conditions of Sale: unless otherwise stated, all items are sold “as is” and are not exchangeable. Bidder understands that all items have been solicited in good faith, that all descriptions, representations, and values associated with an item are based on information supplied by the donor and are approximated values. Some items may have restrictions. Restrictions are clearly stated on the bid sheet. Certificates do not include tax or gratuity. It is recommended that, where trips or special events are involved, plans be made far enough in advance to accommodate both the purchaser and the donor. Live Auction Rules: all general auction rules apply for the Live Auction. Descriptions and restrictions for the Live Auction items are listed on the auction display sheets. All bidding during Live Auction will be done with your paddle number. Should you wish to place a bid, simply raise your paddle to be recognized by the auctioneer and his spotters. Silent Auction Rules: the highest bidder at the bottom of the list is the purchaser of the item. Please enter your paddle number next to each Silent Auction bid. Descriptions and restrictions for the Silent Auction are listed on the auction bid sheet for each item. A guaranteed purchase bid will close the auction item. Bids placed after the auction is closed are not valid. Scholarship Pledges: to pledge a scholarship, simply raise your paddle at the scholarship level that you wish to support so the auctioneer and his spotter will see your paddle. Item #6 Shock and Awe!
Participate in an afternoon of weapons testing for 4 people. Spend an afternoon with the Defenders of Freedom and Public Safety. You and 3 guests will meet at the Ben Hurtig Shooting Center in Blaine County, ID. After a weapons briefing and safety instruction you will experience the use of Tactical Handgun, Patrol Rifle, Shotgun, Precision Sniper Rifle and Machine Guns. You will be hands on and honing your skills with all small arms fire. Military and Law Enforcement instructors will demonstrate weapons handling and the deployment of explosive diversionary/disruptive devises. All use of weapons and ordinance will be provided. Hearingpro and Eyepro will be issued by SPEAR Tactical and ESS. The afternoon will conclude with appetizers and cocktails at the home of local resident Vince Baertschi and tour of his firearms collection.
