From the very first moment you enter Nord Anglia International School, Hong Kong it is clear that the children truly are the dynamic lifeblood of the school and our very best ambassadors. They embody all that the school strives for and promote our vibrant and inspiring environment, through being enthusiastic, charming, charismatic young people with an appetite for learning and a genuine thirst for knowledge.
I believe that children who are happy, secure and confident in their learning are most likely to achieve their potential. The school's personalised approach to learning embraces and responds to each child as an individual and provides our students with the skills, competence and attitudes for their future and the confidence to succeed.
Our highly qualified, world class teachers ensure that the excellent standards in both learning and teaching create an environment that is relevant, rich and rewarding for all. We encourage creative and critical thinking alongside stimulating and meaningful experiences, leading to fun, excitement, delight and pride in achievement.
Our students benefit from a combined curriculum which achieves the highest success for the greatest number of learners through our highly regarded English National Curriculum adapted for Hong Kong, globally respected iGCSE courses and culminating in the "Gold" standard of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
At NAIS Hong Kong, we understand that the future can be uncertain - which makes it hard to know whether you’re making the right choices for your child’s education. In a changing world we believe it’s our responsibility to ensure your child is ready, no matter what life brings. Our promise to you is that when your child joins our school, they’ll be prepared for a lifetime of success, and be inspired to make a real difference to our world. We’ll help your child to flourish, to discover who they want to be and what they want to do. They’ll learn to be ambitious and to achieve more than they ever thought possible. Wherever life takes them, your child will feel able to create their future.
I look forward to meeting and welcoming you and your family to our school.
Kenny Duncan
The school was amazing at helping the children settle in; before we even arrived they put us in contact with other families in our area that had children in the same classes.
Our family has been a very proud member of the NAIS community since 2016. We looked long and hard for a school for our children in Hong Kong, and made our choice based on the teachers, the teaching methods and the learning environment. We have found Nord's teachers to be exceptional. They put their pupils first and treat them as individuals while their methods have ensured that our children are excited to learn every day. The result is an engaging environment that is still fun, and our children love their classrooms, themes and subjects. The school also has a great sense of community: our children have made lifelong friendships in a happy multi-cultural, multinational environment and we often get together with other Nord parents and teachers.
My children are incredibly happy here. My youngest adores the school and is very, very confident and happy.
My children are happy, able to develop their talents and abilities in a wonderful environment.
My children love their teachers, friends and learning.

At NAIS HK, we inspire curiosity and innovative thinking in our students – giving them the tools and skills to succeed. Our educational approach uses our global reach, enabled by world-class technology, to bring our students truly transformational learning experiences
To foster our students’ creativity, we collaborate with The Juilliard School to develop our music, drama, and dance programmes. Together, we have developed The Juilliard Creative Classroom, an extraordinary online collection of educational resources designed to enhance the existing lessons.
The programme helps students to experiment, create, improvise, and act independently – and encourages in them the resilience to keep trying. Our collaboration with MIT gives your child the skills they’ll need to thrive in the 21st century. These include trying out approaches to real-world problems, creative thinking,
and understanding the importance of persistence in finding answers. This programme also provides professional development for teachers, an annual student visit to MIT, and a collaboration with MIT scientists to develop ‘maker spaces’ for practical activities in all our schools.
Through opportunities to learn from the best, experiences beyond the ordinary and the encouragement to achieve more than they thought possible, we help students succeed anywhere.
We follow the frameworks of EYFS, English National Curriculum (ENC), IGCSE and IB Diploma Programme.
Knowledge and skills rich curriculum with the rigorous framework of ENC adapted to our HK environment
Backbone of high-expectations in the core areas of English, Maths and Science
Teachers use a range of approaches including enquiry, cross-curricular and direct instruction
Our curriculum is enhanced by MIT & Juilliard collaborations throughout the school
Our Primary curriculum is based on the English National Curriculum but has been adapted for our context here in Hong Kong. It is designed to provide the highest academic quality of education. A positive mindset is encouraged to build confidence and ensure success.
There is a rigorous development of English and Maths skills while all other subjects are dealt with in a variety of ways using projects and themes to challenge and inspire. Computing and science are core elements of our curriculum.
Pupils are taught Art, Music, Drama, PE and Mandarin by specialist teachers throughout Primary School and a Modern Foreign Language is offered from Year 5 upwards.
We have an holistic approach to each child's education to ensure that we are producing well rounded children who are responsible citizens, showing respect and making an effective contribution to society.
NAIS Hong Kong sets itself high academic standards and has a strong commitment to the delivery of a broad, differentiated and balanced curriculum.
In Years 7 - 9 (KS3) students follow the English National Curriculum. Class teachers tailor their subjects to take into account the student population and the local environment as well as fostering the skills needed to develop global citizens.
Our Secondary Curriculum is designed so that students develop skills and knowledge in a wide range of subject areas. Each subject is taught by a specialist teacher and the approach is often unit-based.
Students in Years 10 - 11 (KS4) prepare for the University of Cambridge IGCSE qualifications. In their final Years 12 - 13 students complete the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
The best preparation for university and the world of work
In Years 12 and 13 our students undertake the IB Diploma Programme which is widely recognised as the "gold" standard in pre-university qualifications. The programme develops specific approaches to learning skills which include social, research, critical and creative thinking, social, and appropriate communication skills, as well as how to self-manage.
Our fourth IB Diploma Programme cohort from NAISHK achieved an impressive 100% Diploma pass rate which compares very favourably to the global average of 80%. This is especially remarkable considering we are a non-selective school. The average Diploma score is three points above the world average. 10% of our students were awarded the Bilingual Diploma for completing the full programme in a language other than their mother tongue. Our four graduation cohorts have received many top university offers from UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Singapore and Hong Kong.
Lam Tin houses our Primary school where students have light and bright home classrooms. All students also benefit from specialist spaces such as our Maker Space, newly renovated library, art rooms, drama suite, music room and keyboard suite. We also have a range of sports facilities such as our 25m heated pool, climbing wall, outdoor sports ground and large main hall.
Our Kwun Tong Secondary campus features specialist subject classrooms filled with natural light; science laboratories; dance, drama, music, art and visual media rooms; a learning resource centre; a full-size sports hall; an indoor swimming pool and an impressive performance auditorium.
We're a local international school that will teach your child how to make positive difference to the world they live in.
Social and environmental engagement forms an important part of NAIS Hong Kong activities with parents, teachers and students all contributing to a better future. Our inspiring Social Impact Programme challenges our students to think about what they can do to make a difference. Organised with UNICEF, the programme supports the UN Sustainable Development 2030 agenda. Every year, we set a Global Challenge which sees students from across Nord Anglia come together in seminars, workshops and speaking opportunities at the High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) at the UN HQ in New York. The goal is simple: helping our students to influence world leaders and make the world a better place.
Following the UN Sustainable Development 2030 agenda, our students work on one of 17 Unicef challenges, with themes as wide-ranging as clean energy and peace and justice. Students from Years 10-12 can even apply to go to the Global Summit in New York, with the chance to speak at the UN’s High Level Political Forum.
Unlike other schools, we make the Unicef themes central to many of the students’ activities, within and outside school time. Students regularly work on outreach programmes in local communities, and share challenges, ideas and progress via our Global Campus.
Our ECAs encourage independence, perseverance and commitment.
Clubs and activities enrich our curriculum and offer children the chance to take on new challenges, and to develop their confidence, self-esteem, socialise and have fun!
We have a broad mix of ECAs including a range of sports (both individual and team sports) and arts (from music, choir to drawing, drama and debating) and academic clubs (science, languages, chess, Lego and more).
We offer over 100 different extra-curricular activities and believe that no-one has a limit to their potential or ability.
Pastoral care lies at the heart of NAIS Hong Kong and is embedded in everything we do. Our community and positive atmosphere are only a part of a well-structured system that touches all areas of school life. It is the vehicle for our commitment and drive towards the development of curriculum and pastoral practice that best contribute to students' social, emotional, physical and moral wellbeing.
Our House System Builds ...
Supporting each other and the younger pupils.
Giving pupils the opportunity to become leaders; being an example and making decisions in their houses throughout their time at the school.
Students develop their responsibility through service to their house and think about their local community and how they can improve it.
We believe that students should experience competition and learn how to deal with successes and failures in a safe environment. Students take part in a wide range of house competitions across the school throughout the year.
