TOGETHER, WE CAN MAKE A Difference

Who ARE THE HARCOURTS FOUNDATION?

The Harcourts Foundation is the charitable arm of Harcourts. Started in 2008 the foundation exists because of the generosity of the Harcourts network.

“At the heart of our core values - people first, doing the right thing, being courageous, and having fun and laughter - lies the Harcourts Foundation. It truly embodies what it means to be part of Harcourts.

In New Zealand, our Harcourts network is dedicated to supporting the Harcourts Foundation in making a meaningful and positive impact on communities nationwide. We are so proud of everything we have achieved to date, and what we continue to strive for.”

THE HARCOURTS FOUNDATION GRANTS

Programme

At Harcourts New Zealand, our team members generously donate a portion of their commission from property sales to the Harcourts Foundation. These funds are then used to support local community groups and charities across New Zealand and beyond.

100% of the funds raised go directly to the charities that need it most, allowing us to make a meaningful impact and fulfil dreams.

Our contributing offices understand their local communities best, which is why they decide which charities, groups, or projects to support in their area.

Partner OUR NATIONAL

Hospice New Zealand

The Harcourts Foundation proudly supports The Hospice NZ Grants Programme, which provides all member hospices with the opportunity to purchase much needed equipment. Since the partnership began, the Harcourts Foundation has donated over $350,000 to local hospices across New Zealand, with even more support committed in 2025. Every donation to the grants programme fund directly supports hospices from the far north to the deep south to continue their work, enabling people to live every moment in whatever way is important to them.

In recognition of the contribution the Harcourts Foundation has made to the hospice movement in Aotearoa New Zealand, in 2023 Hospice New Zealand gifted Harcourts a Silver Partner medal.

“Having spent nine years running the clinical services of a large hospice, I know how important specialised equipment is for supporting terminally ill people and helping to keep them at home with loved ones. The generosity of the Harcourts Foundation makes an enormous difference to people’s quality of life when it matters the most.”

The Hospice NZ Grants Programme, enables all member hospices to purchase much-needed equipment. Here are some examples of how the 2024 grants have made a difference for hospice patients and their families, across New Zealand.

After the devastating earthquakes in November 2016, the foundation made a generous contribution to help the people of Kaikoura with the financial burden of sending their children back to school. In March 2019, following the shocking shootings at two Christchurch mosques, the Harcourts Foundation pledged to the Give-A-Little page for victim support.

Over the years, the Harcourts Foundation has provided assistance to those affected by flooding and fires, demonstrating its commitment to helping New Zealanders on a national level.

In times of tragedy, the Harcourts Foundation is quick to assist. These swift and generous donations demonstrate the Harcourts Foundation’s unwavering commitment to supporting communities through their darkest hours.
