01. MANIFESTO
En una era marcada por la pandemia, la humanidad y el trabajo han cambiado quizás para siempre al igual que las ciudades. La arquitectura de oficinas monofuncional característica del siglo XX se encuentra ahora obsoleta, Es por ésto que propusimos una intervencion en un monumento arquitectónico como lo es el edificio Seagram, para cambiar el paradigma del modernismo y dar una nueva vida a los centros administrativos tradicionales “ “ Para que es una oficina? para lo que sea que se suponga, ahora es posible hacerlo desde donde sea.-

A medida que cambia la vida, nuestros edificios deben hacerlo, apuntando hacia una nueva concepcion de la vida urbana usando lo que ya se encuentra allí, aplicando multi funcionalidades para un desarrollo urbano sostenible.
02. MONUMENTOS VIVOS
Lo que hemos experimentado con el COVID-19 fue un evento historico que sacudio nuestros habitats y la forma en la que interactuamos con la arquitectura desde los cimientos. Siguiendo la concepcion de Alois Riegl sobre los monumentos, el edificio Seagram, a medida que se difunde el Home Office, se consideró como un monumento muerto ya que perdio su principal proposito. Es por esto, que los principios de reconversion y restauro son tomados como la piedra angular del proyecto

“WHAT”
One of the main principles of the Public University in Argentina is its social and extensionist role. This is why he intervention’s soul radicates in the intention of achieving an omnipresent institution in it’s environment, offering spaces for exhibitions, events and community expression on the public space surrounding the building itself. Transforming a concrete building into a transparent beacon of knowledge and opportunities for all.

The project contemplates respecting all the existing trees and adopt them as structural spatial elements. The program is projected to be built in two different stages, but composing a uniform entity regardless which stage is executed first. A steel pergola acts as unifier and environmental feature regulating the roofs exposition to sunlight depending on the time of the year.

Salta´s mountains are source of inspiration for my soul.
Mercedes Sosa.
With the mountains and vines as magnificent background, the proposal takes this condition as an input and seeks to blend itself with it´s surroundings . Following this main principle, the building adapts its expression in order to copy the vines’ longitudinal pattern. In addition to this, the total transparency of the building on the longitudinal axis creates a clear and sincere connection between the interior and the mountains in the background.

From urban strategies to fine-detailed architecture, the project presents itself as part of a system in which plays the role of connecting the seaside urban axis to Naples Central Station and the eastern periphery .The neapolitan landscape and iconic architecture are harmoniously combined to not only give a new life to an historical building, but to also regenerate Naples eastern sector, enhancing its identity through a direct dialogue with the Sea and the Vesuvius.

URBAN REGENERATION AND ENVIRONMENTAL ENHANCEMENT IN EAST NAPLES
01. PROJECT STATEMENT
The topic of the redevelopment of industrial areas is applied in the case study of Naples and in particular in the eastern area of the city. A clear territorial division between the central sector of the city and the eastern suburbs is determined by infrastructures, deficiency in the public transport network and the incompatibility of use between the petro-chemical sector industries and housing in the sector. The thesis tackles this problematic and propose a masterplan for the regeneration of the urban space and environment in addition to an urban park, the thesis focus.
02. MAIN COMPONENTS.
Since the park is conceived as a piece of environmental infrastructure, it had to be structured and equipped with specific elements in order to make this intention a reality. Solar panels were installed in addition to a precise and studied vegetation proposal following the canals and rainwater re-use infrastructures. All these elements converge to give shape to the park, offering different tematic routes.
