Actor Ian Holm has died aged 88. The Lord Of The Rings actor passed away in hospital today (June 19), his agent confirmed.

“It is with great sadness that the actor Sir Ian Holm CBE passed away this mornagent told the Guardian.

They added: “He died peacefully in hospital, with his family and carer,” adding that his illness was Parkinson’s related. They described him as “charming, kind and ferociously talented” and that they would “will miss him hugely.”

Holm began his career on stage, becoming a star of the Royal Shakespeare Company before starring in the BBC adaptation of War Of The Roses in 1965.

Jamie Foxx is finally bringing Mike Tyson’s story to the big screen.

(IANS ): In a move to tap into the expertise of past sporting champions for grassroot-level training of athletes and also to ensure a sustained source of income for them in the sports ecosystem, the Sports Ministry has decided to establish 1000 Khelo India Centres (KIC) at the district level across the country.

These centres will either be run by a past champion or have them as coaches. A shortlisting mechanism has been put in place to identify past champions who are eligible to either establish their own academy or work as a coach in a KIC.

The first category of athletes who will be considered are those who have represented India at recognised international competitions under a recognised NSF or association.

The second category is of medal winners in Senior National Championship conducted by a recognised NSF or a medal winner at the Khelo India Games.

The third category of past champions are those who have won medals in the National All India University Games.

The fourth category will include those who Aluthgamage, who was the sports minister at the time, said.

“As a country I do not want to announce this. I can’t exactly remember if it was 2011 or 2012. But we were to win that game,” added the politician, who
