Dr. Antony takes charge of AHoD NLA Dimapur : Commissioner & secretary, Dr. P J Antony, has taken over the charge of the Administrative Head of the Department (AHoD) in the Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) Secretariat with effect from June 1, informed a DIPR report.
NPCC celebrates Rahul Gandhi’s 50th birthday

DIMAPUR: Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) Friday celebrated Rahul Gandhi’s birthday by distributing 2000 relief food packets to the “needy people” in different colonies across Dimapur town.
A press release by NPCC communication department informed that a brief function was held at the residence of Dimapur DCC president.
Keeping in mind the strict social distancing policy, NPCC said only some “needy families” were invited apart from PCC officials, DUCCF, Dimapur Sadar GBs Association and Naga Women Hoho Dimapur.
Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee informed that two minutes silence was also observed in remembrance of Indian soldiers who were killed at Galwan Valley by Chinese Army.
DoSE issue measures to conduct board examinations DIMAPUR: In reference to the directive issued by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, department of school education & literacy video, has issued instructions and measures for grant of exemption from the lockdown measures to conduct board examination for class X and XII in the state.
According to DIPR report, the following conditions are to be followed: In the containment zone, no examination centre will be permitted; wearing of face masks by teachers, staffs and students will be mandatory; there shall be provision of thermal screening and sanitizer at the centres and social distancing in all examination centres; in view of examination to be conducted by different Boards, their examination schedules should be staggered; special buses may be arranged for transportation of the students to get examination centres.
DMC fixes rate; conducts surprise checking
DIMAPUR: Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) has fixed rate for meat and poultry and has notified all dealers, butchers and cut meat sellers to sell their products as per the rate approved by the council.
In a press release, DMC administration, Albert Ezung informed that the council on Friday conducted a surprise checking and seized poultry and meat which were sold at higher rates than as prescribed by DMC. Ezung informed that the defaulters were penalised. He has also asked public to contact DMC at 9862929908/8974807024/85758 08077 for any grievances.

DIMAPUR: After the detection of COVID-19 positive cases at institutional quarantine centre, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mon, Thavaseelan K has declared Don Bosco School (DBS) campus, Mon Town as a containment zone.

Public movement re
stricted: As part of required precautionary steps to mitigate the possible spread of COVID-19 for public health, public safety and public order and in the interest of the public health, public safety and public order in Mon district, the DC Mon has prohibited movement of public within 100 m radius of Don Bosco School Campus, Mon Town.
The DC has informed that the order would come into force with immediate effect and shall remain in force till further orders.
Any one violating the foresaid order will be liable for punishment under section 188 of the Indian Penal Code, stated the order.
