This proposal focuses on the wider context of Chatham Intra, Kent, with the aim to regenerate life into the high street and improve the relationship between the riverfront and urban fabric. Different iterations of pier design were tested to produce a new network of piers with multiple recreational uses whilst also generating jobs within the area. An introduction of hard and soft landscaping in the position of demolished buildings helps to prevent the interruption of the urban tissue. It also allowed for the creation of social and community environments. Marsh landscaping along the riverfront allows for an increase in the biodiversity, ecology, and water quality of the area.
