The Kibubu Ufinyanzi project aims at imparting pottery-making skills and craftsmanship to youth aged 18 to 35 who have knowledge or interest in pottery and live in the Mbaru ward, Lushoto district in the Tanga Region. Kibubu ufinyanzi is a home-based pottery bank that is moulded and has a small hole for money to be inserted until it is full, at which point it is broken and the money is removed.

The project's major purpose is to promote the art of pottery to young people while simultaneously teaching them financial literacy through home-based pottery banks (Kibubu Ufinyanzi) for money saving.
