CONCEPT:
The proposal is focused on providing scalability to be applied on various sites no matter the scale. Thus, the concept focuses on creating a module, which if applied, has flexibility of functions depending upon the site conditions. The concept is designed in such a way, that the total open space and amenity space does not exceed 15%, as specified minimum by U-DCPR.
STRATEGY:
The accommodation is aimed at providing a solution to the current horrible transit camp situation by proposing an a replicable module which is tailored to the specific needs of its users. Since, the structure is going to be rotated, mirrored and orientated according to site location, the module needs to be as porous as possible, also with the adoption of courtyards.

Sheva Lake, along the Sheva Hill has been beautified with a minimalist approach. With an objective of not hampering the context with a bridge, the walkway became a unique element of its own and various existing elements shaped the design.

Biome housing is aimed at creating a biological habitat and increasing biodiversity. It creates an urban ecosystem, linking urban life and nature. The vertical Forest helps to build a microclimate and to filter dust particles which are present in the urban environment. The forest will also protect it’s habitants from the loud acoustic surroundings.
Strategy:
Designing from the inside out, bringing the outside in. The users will be working from home and hence will be cooped inside their homes all day. So, we need to bring mother nature to them. The generic rectangular shape design offers a long, narrow lobby where the quality of space is not optimum. Biome housing tackles these issues through Y-shaped apartments and offers more.

Concept:
The IFC was driven through four programs, which required separation with optimum circulation between them. Thus, the form was designed to allow for different functions to coexist, connected through a central core. Volumetric projections were utilized to break the monotony of the form. The Crown does not blend in the context nor does it stick out as a sore thumb, it is striking enough to set a landmark in BKC.

On the banks of the Mahanadi river there is an arrangement of settlements of various tribes strongly arranged with “hierarchy of the caste system”, which dictates the area for their dwellings. Moving away from the main river, there is a noticeable shift in the, “social status” of these occupants. The ones who are considered to belong from a higher sect of society mainly reside near the river banks, while those who don’t, occupy the lands further away from it.
The area of this particular study, Jhuntamara, holds as an example to such communities, which despite being deprived of the are wholly self-sufficient and are thriving on their own, irrespective of their place in the traditional concept of society. Water a shared resource among the people binds the community towards its use from common sources. Such communities, that are away from the river, and are at a disadvantage overcame this problem by taking initiative and building artificial ponds around their settlements.
Jetavan is a spiritual and skill development center, built by KJ Somaiya Centre for Buddhist Studies, for native Baudh Ambedkar Community. The site, in the complex of Godavari Bio-refineries, is also owned by the Somaiya group. The structure comprises of functional spaces and an adjoining library of 1070 sq. m that functions efficiently with the center. The design was undertaken by Ar. Sameep Padora and associates. The construction was completed in 2016 with the assistance of Hunnarshala foundation Bhuj.
