IDENTITY / PRINT When we created TREPA, we were young and talented, yet rookies in the graphic design business. Although our logotype represented us well, our identity needed some polishing and an extra punch, so in 2009 I re-designed TREPA’s identity. This adjustment is definitely helping us towards our goal of achieving a consistent and memorable image that represents what we stand for. Additionanlly, I designed new stationery to support our enhanced image and a “Contact Us” balloon to improve advertising and marketing. RELATED LINKS www.trepacg.com PUBLISHED AT April 2009

INTERACTIVE We launched TREPA’s first website in May 2008. After a year of intense work and fun, we were full of new experiences and ideas and had a strong identity, based on its recent transformation. Our site needed an update. With all this in mind, I created a simple but energetic design that fulfills our needs, yet reflects TREPA’s witty and neat spirit. IDENTITY / PRINT / PACKAGING As part of one of my classes in college, called Final Project, I developed a method called Graphic Music that was based in a scientific and an emotional/ synesthetic study on music. The method generated a graphic identity that truthfully embodied a specific song. I applied Graphic Music to the main single of Convenzion de Ginebra’s first album: “No quería disparar” (“I Didn’t Want to Shoot”) and employed this image for music packaging, magazine ads, flyers, poster and stickers. PRINT At TREPA, I have developed several flyers for Oceana Club Lounge. In this particular instance, I was in charge of developing party flyers for two different events. The first one announced a Casino Party. I wanted to create an image that evidently reflected the idea of a casino, so I translated the flyer information into a playing card, simple but powerful! The second flyer was directed only to women. My creation was the result of the tension between creativeness and the client’s pre-requisites: I captured the idea of a Ladies Night, while keeping in mind the vodka promotions the client needed to show. On both projects, photographs were provided by Oceana Club Lounge. RELATED LINKS www.oceanaecuador.com PUBLISHED AT April 2009 - September 2009 P. 12

PRINT As part of an Information Design class project, we where challenged with the development of a University map that could be easily read and carried. After resolving the map design problem, I focused on a way for the map to be portable and appealing. The result was to size the map to an A4 format and enfold it with two magnetic credit card size sheets. That way, students could easily keep the map in their wallets. PRINT / EDITORIAL / ILLUSTRATION In this freelance project, I was responsible for the layout, design, illustration, and art direction of a book, booklet and information sheet. I focused on creating educational, approachable, and vibrant pieces. For this purpose, I created an identity that draws inspiration from the standard recycling sign, giving it a three-color twist and shape adjustment to make it more dynamic. For illustrations and diagramming, I used colors for structure and concentrated on making information appealing and understandable. PRINT / EDITORIAL / ILLUSTRATION The Environmental Practice Guides are directed to multiple industrial areas. What I accomplished doing this project was designing a layout mold that can be applied unlimited times to suit various industrial areas. I developed a pattern of organized, formatted text along with specific layouts for all guides, utilizing color and illustrations to give character to each guide. What I kept in mind throughout the process was DMA of Quito’s environmental mission; thus, I minimized paper usage, employed a two-color chromatic scheme, and suggested an environmentally friendly paper. INTERACTIVE Since January 2009, TREPA has been in charge of QCS’s image design. QCS’s previous site was unclear and did not reflect the program’s identity; thus, for the new web page, I designed a clean and colorful site that made information readily accessible and complimented QCS’s identity.
