Advantages of Using Organic Fertilizers in Your Garden or Lawn Using chemical fertilizers or organic fertilizers in gardening, lawn care, or commercial recreation circles, is one of the most debatable topics in today’s world. Which is more beneficial? Which of the two must be preferred? There are many who support the use of synthetic fertilizers because they believe that an organic fertilizer for potted plants may be made naturally but they don’t have enough benefits of usage over the synthetic fertilizers. On the contrary, they can’t be any more wrong. There are multiple advantages of using organic fertilizers, some of which are mentioned below. 1. Growth of plants: The best organic fertilizer for flowers and plants would provide all the nutrients necessary for the growth of the plants, coming with the benefit of being slower-acting and gentler than synthetic fertilizers. By this, you remove the risk of overfeeding or chemically burning your plants and flowers. Natural fertilizers are not immediately absorbed by the plants as they are not so simple for them to absorb, but rather they must be first broken down by the fungi and bacteria present in the soil into a simpler form so that the plants can absorb easily. This indicates the fact that, unlike chemical fertilizers, organic fertilizers don’t get washed away easily in case of a heavy rainstorm or irrigation session, and that the plants and flowers get the benefits of nutrients more evenly for growth. 2. Soil improvement: Organic fertilizer for potted plants assists in improving the soil structure and nutrient content over time. Chemical fertilizers tend to pollute water resources as they simply add water-soluble chemicals that are either absorbed by the plant roots or leach away. On the other hand, organic fertilizer for potted plants adds organic matter to the soil that helps it in retaining moisture and nutrients. 3. Long term benefits to the environment: Chemical fertilizers are said to release many chemicals into the soil containing helpful nutrients to soil but at the same time, they may also contain elements that are not biodegradable. These harmful elements might go on to contaminate the land and the water. Meanwhile, the organic fertilizers, as the name suggests, always tend to have only biodegradable contents.

4. Cheap and cost-effective: Another advantage of organic fertilizers is that organic fertilizer for potted plants is quite cheaper than chemical fertilizers, as they don’t involve adding any kind of chemicals in the production process. Natural ingredients such as cow, sheep, horse, or chicken manure is mixed along with wastes like dead plants and leaves to obtain the final product. 5. Safety: Using chemical fertilizers on your garden comes with the risk of getting affected by the harmful chemicals that they contain, and ingesting these chemicals. In this way too, natural fertilizers are a safer measure. These were only some of the benefits of using organic fertilizers instead of chemical ones.
