On behalf of the NAACP Image Awards Committee, welcome to the 54th NAACP Image Awards!

Black voices continue to redefine categories from poetry to animation, telling our stories the way we want to tell them. And through the NAACP Image Awards, we celebrate those Black creatives who portray the Black experience. Black actors, writers, producers, directors, and artists get the recognition they truly deserve as they exemplify OUR stories, OUR culture, and OUR excellence.

For more than 50 years, the NAACP Image Awards has showcased artists and individuals of color who fearlessly share their talents and contributions with the world. With countless submissions, as well as three new motion picture, television, and streaming categories, we want to celebrate the outstanding accomplishments of our nominees who extend the limits of possibility and create art in an array of genres.

We continue to turn to art and to artists for extensive laughs, an outlet for a really good cry and to support us through our emergence from one of the most challenging times in our history. It is through art that we reinforce the philosophy that we ALL embody Black excellence.
