Check out some of the public courses in North County and others around San Diego county!

LOCAL TIP

When you feel home cooking but not doing it yourself, visit the Bellows by CSUSM and grab some take out! – Mike L.

ARROWOOD ∙ Oceanside

Designed by local architect Ted Robinson, Jr., unlike other courses in San Diego near the water, this course is 10 miles inland and adjacent to Camp Pendleton, changing the topography from other courses. Though highly recommended, golfers report big changes in the course based on the ocean breeze.

MADERAS GOLF CLUB ∙ Poway

Designed by Johnny Miller, this course is tough but has great scenery to ease the pain. This hidden gem is well-maintained and is right in the heart of North County. At first sight, it can be deceiving as the uphill and downhill shots prove more difficult than they appear.

MT. WOODSON GOLF CLUB ∙ Ramona

Designed by Bryan Curley and Lee Schmidt, this course is a little ways out, but worth the drive. Nestled in Ramona, this course has stunning views and a wooden bridge between holes 2 and 3, giving players a one-ofa-kind, unique experience.

OAKS NORTH ∙ Rancho Bernardo

This is a great course for beginning or experienced golfers alike. With something for everyone, Oaks North is well maintained and is perfect for a round to decompress after work. Loved by families for their youth program and voted the best of North County Inland in 2023. Part of the JC Resorts family of courses.

RANCHO BERNARDO INN ∙ Rancho Bernardo

Designed by William Francis Bell, RB Inn is full of natural beauty all around. A course that has something for every skill level, this highly respected course is beloved by both beginners and experienced golfers. It has served as host to both PGA and LPGA events and is known to be challenging. Enjoy a great meal afterwards at AVANT and take in the views from a completely different perspective. Part of the JC Resorts family of courses.

REIDY CREEK ∙ Escondido

Designed by Cal Dalton, every hole on this course is unique, but is designed to be player friendly with most players getting through 18 holes in 3 hours. After your round, visit Creekside Tavern with a host of local brews.

THE LINKS ∙ San Marcos

With 2 courses, there is something for every skill level. The executive course can be completed in under 4 hours. No matter your skill set, their Golf Academy has clinics, lessons and group instruction to take your game to the next level.

SAN DIEGO COURSES

TORREY PINES ∙ La Jolla

This golf course is home to the Farmer’s Golf Classic every year on the PGA Tour. With views of the Pacific Ocean that can’t be beat and holes along the cliffside, Torrey Pines gives golfers what they come for- an unbelievable golfing experience.
