NEW PET FRIENDLY FLOORING From plush living rooms, restful bedrooms through to townhouse courtyards, Carpet Court’s new pet proof flooring options allow pet parents to welcome their animals into every part of their home. Carpet Court ambassador Darren Palmer says the innovative solutions include stain resistant carpets, water and odour resistant underlay, hybrid floors and outdoor synthetic grass. The range includes UltraPet carpet priced from $42-$52m2, Stainmaster PetProtect at $59m2 and LuxTurf priced from $59.95m2. “If you love the look and luxurious feel underfoot of carpet, you cannot go past Carpet Court’s new UltraPet ranges comprising of 10 colours and three pile types – Birman, Basenji and Akita,’’ Mr Palmer says. “Created with cutting-edge technology, these ranges come with a 15-year guarantee for colourfastness, durability, and stain resistance. “Best of all, pet potty mishaps can be cleaned easily using cold water given the carpets repel liquids from penetrating the fibres.” To view the full range visit carpetcourt.com.au

DARREN’S TIPS TO PET PROOF YOUR HOME WIPEABLE SURFACES: Where possible, opt for durable and wipeable surfaces, including your flooring so you can easily remove stains, hair or mishaps caused by pets. COVERS ON FURNISHINGS: Having removable and washable covers (no, not plastic covers) on any upholstered items will make cleaning pet fur or stains a breeze. CLEAN AND VACUUM REGULARLY: Vacuuming at least once a week will prevent dirt or fur being pushed into carpet pile. For high traffic areas, vacuuming twice a week is recommended.
