Biome, Australia’s leading eco store, is helping to reduce lunch box waste with this product. Surprisingly lightweight, it features a silicone rubber membrane offering a spill-proof and airtight seal, an insulating neoprene sleeve and internal stainless steel dip/ dressing container. loomhill Cancer Care is a charity My Weekly Preview has proudly supported through the years. Whether it be via editorial coverage, donations or attending fundraising events, we have thrown our weight behind this vital Sunshine Coast charity, and for good reason – it’s woven into the very fabric of this community. Thousands of families have been assisted through the organisation’s integrated cancer care services, emotional, physical and spiritual support. The not-for-profit organisation assists more than 1200 people living with cancer, employs 47 staff and is supported by 450 volunteers. My own family has been graced by the kindness of the Bloomhill team. My mum volunteers at one of the charity’s fundraising op shops and we have all been welcomed into the fold. When we lost a loved one to cancer, her Bloomhill team rallied around and the support was unwavering. Now, Bloomhill is facing its toughest challenge, last week putting out a call for funding to ensure it can continue to offer these services. To find out how you can help, be sure to read our story on page 18. From one cancer charity to another, this week we also speak with the team behind Ovarian Cancer Australia, including ambassador and Channel 7 presenter Monique Wright. To find out more about this silent disease, turn to page 10. Until next week, take care.
