Introducing Chill Bar and Grill: a restaurant that boasts a complete menu inspired by dishes from southern Italy with a Mediterranean twist.

They are best known for taking wellknown favorites and elevating them to a level well beyond the norm. This includes items such as their fresh specialty pizzas prepared to perfection in their brick pizza oven. There’s the 10”, 12” Neopolitana, 14” and 12” gluten-free options. Choices include Pizza Margarita (Passata tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, basil leaf, and olive oil), Pizza Prosciutto (Passata tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, burrata, prosciutto, and basil leaf), Pizza Pepperoni, Pizza Fig & Balsamic (Fresh ricotta cheese, caramelized onion, figs, and gorgonzola), Pizza Supreme (Mozzarella, sausage, pepperoni, mushroom, onion, bell pepper and black olives), Pizza Diavoletta (Passata tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, hot capicola ham, basil leaf, and chili oil), Pizza Meat Lovers (Passata tomato sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, sausage,

The restaurant serves Italian and Mediterranean dishes, as well as American favorites such as their six-piece bone-in chicken buffalo wings. Chill Bar and Grill also offers specialty menu items, which include house-cut French fries tossed in truffle garlic sauce with sautéed mushrooms and a parmesan crisp. Those are only a couple of the appetizers that they offer!

Other menu items include gourmet pastas (Paccheri Boscaiola, Gnocchi Al Gorgonzola with chicken or shrimp, Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken or shrimp, and Penne Alla Bolognese), sandwiches (Bison Burger, Panino Al Pollo Sandwich, and Prosciutto Sandwich), salads (Greco Salad, gluten-free Popeye Spinach Salad, Caprese and Caesar salad), seafood (Shrimp skewers, Fried Shrimp, Salmon, and Calamari served with aioli sauce), and gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian options as well.

Entrees include Parmigiana Di Pollo (Breaded

chicken breast topped with marinara sauce, mozzarella cheese, and Parmigiano cheese, served with spaghetti), Salmon Alla Griglia (Fresh Atlantic grilled salmon served with sauteed vegetables), Chicken Kabob (Mediterranean Chicken Kabob served with rice, grilled zucchini & tomatoes), Mediterranean Strudel (Assortment of grilled veggies wrapped in puff pastry), and Lamb Chops (Marinated grilled chops served with veggies and rice). Chill Bar and Grill also offers desserts such as Cannoli, Gluten Free Flourless Chocolate Cake, and Crema Catalana: a traditional Spanish crème brulé.

Conceived by the great culinary mind of Giancarlo Bomparola, owner/operator of the popular Las Vegas Italian restaurant Siena Italian Authentic Trattoria, Chill Bar and Grill provides a casual-dress atmosphere where diners can enjoy a relaxing ambience, hence the name. When asked what inspired Giancarlo to open Chill Bar and Grill, his response was simple; he was looking to embark on a new culinary “adventure.” Located at 7905 W. Sahara Avenue, Suite 102-103, Chill Bar and Grill also hosts live performances every Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. They also host a happy hour menu twice a day, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM with a reverse happy hour starting at 9:00 PM and lasting until closing. THE TRUE TASTE OF THE SOUTH

Since a young age, John Holland, Executive Chef and Owner of Rollin Smoke Barbeque, knew that cooking was in his bones. Growing up, John would ask his mother to prepare the Thanksgiving desserts, and even grilled for his friends and co-workers after long days in the Arkansas oil fields.

At only 24 years old, John decided to pursue his culinary dream and move to Las Vegas to attend La Cordon Bleu.

John soon realized that not a single BBQ restaurant around the valley resembled the true Southern roots of home. He decided it was time to take his mobile smoker/grill to the side of Russell Road, in a hardware store parking lot with his dad and brother to put the true taste of the South in everyone’s mouth. The first day, the team sold 3 sandwiches. The second day, they sold 7 and continued to grow their business, deciding to open their first brick and mortar location in 2012. Shortly after, Rick Harrison and his father became regulars at the restaurant, eventually offering them a partnership in the plaza next to Gold and Silver Pawn Shop.

John had no idea that his once small mobile smoker/grill would grow to this extent, and continuously expand. Winning numerous BBQ competitions, receiving national recognition in the top 16 Hottest New Barbeque restaurants, recognition as Top 20 best Barbeque restaurants in the country, being featured on channels like Food Network, Discovery Channel, and many more are just a few of Rollin Smoke’s accomplishments over the years.

The moment you walk through the door of any of their three Las Vegas locations, you are met with genuine Southern hospitality. The meats are smoked with Hickory wood and prepared with the “low and slow” process, and you can taste the love and effort put into the mouthwatering meats at Rollin Smoke. Some of the most famous dishes at the restaurant include the Fried Catfish, Beef Ribs, and Smoked Meatloaf. The diverse menu and homemade sauces cover a range of palates, especially the BBQ craving ones.

portion of the proceeds go to “Critical Care Comics,” an incredible group that dresses up as comic book characters and reads to sick children. They also enjoy participating in Pigs for Kids charity cook-off and the Best Dam BBQ in Boulder City. They donate to a plethora of organizations throughout the city and continue to look for more opportunities to give back.

In the next ten years, there are exciting plans of expansion to bring their BBQ and southern love all over the United States. They also offer sauces and rubs on the website, as well as catering services for 10 to 10,000 people. Stay tuned as they continue to keep Rollin’! MV

THE DEEP PLANE FACELIFT: Game-changer or Fad?

What is a deep plane lower facelift, and is it better than a traditional SMAS lower facelift?

Deep plane facelifts (DPFLs) have existed in the surgical textbooks for over 30 years.

DPFLs are also known as a “composite lifts”, where both the skin and muscle are lifted as one unit versus those two layers being lifted individually as it is in a SMAS (Superficial Musculoaponeurotic System) Lift.

DPFLs have just recently been revisited by the surgical community as a possible better solution to the traditional, SMAS lower face and neck lift.  Historically, studies from decades ago that compared the two methods demonstrated that the results were nearly equivalent in most cases, with potentially slightly more improvement in the lower cheeks and nasolabial folds (a.k.a. Smile Lines) with a deep plane facelift approach. It is note worthy that many studies recognized that the patient’s anatomy and the experience of the surgeon was more important than the technique in regards to the overall result.

It is critical to appreciate that DPFLs ONLY applies to the lower face/jawline and portions of the midface (cheeks and nasolabial folds), and NOT to the neck itself nor the tissue under the jawbone. The vast majority of plastic surgeons would agree on fact that there is no such procedure named a “deep plane necklift”.

Why the resurgence in Deep Plane Facelifting?

As is commonplace in today’s world of the internet and social media, DPFLs have gained some popularity driven largely by a small group of physicians in major metropolitan markets, such as NYC and Southern California. It is inappropriate to call it a “resurgence” or “revival”, as the technique was never popular nor commonly performed at any point in time since described over 30 years ago in the textbooks.

In my opinion, the primary reason for the current hype is mainly financial. Plastic surgeons will charge at least double, and often triple, the amount they charge for a time-tested SMAS lower facelift with necklift (>$100,000 in some markets!). This simple fact makes it unaffordable for most patients, therefore making it exclusively accessible to the ultra-wealthy. Whether the results of a DPFL are even better is debatable.

What are the risks to the DPFL?

Since DPFLs are more aggressive and invasive in nature, the risk of permanent motor nerve injury is unequivocally higher than in a safer SMAS Lift.  This type of nerve injury can present as either temporary, or possibly permanent, malfunction of one’s facial muscles (similar to as one would appear after a cerebral stroke).

Also notable is that since the deeper tissues of the face are disrupted, the recovery from a DPFL can be up to 50% more than a SMAS Lift.

Additionally, since the muscle and skin are moved together in a DPFL, there is less ability to tailor a result for the patient. In contrast, a SMAS Lift provides targeted treatment to both muscle and skin and individually, allowing for better customization.

Finally, the majority (>95%) of DPFLs in the U.S. are performed under general anesthesia since they usually take 4-6 hours to complete. Obviously general anesthesia presents with it’s own set of risks (pulmonary and cardiovascular issues, allergic reactions, and post-operative nausea and vomiting etc.).

Why can Deep Plane Facelifting be seen as “Irresponsible”?

Currently, my personal fear is that the majority of plastic surgeons in our country have never performed a DPFL, or at best have not performed one the last decade or more.

Unfortunately many patients are now going to be potentially exposed to surgeons performing riskier surgeries all for the sake of chasing “what’s hot” on social media, while charging the patient 2-3x the amount of money. I believe that most of my colleagues probably would provide a better result by just improving and mastering their personal current technique.

In my opinion, the higher complication rate, longer recovery, and less accessibility (from an economic standpoint) is a recipe for a procedure that will not gain popularity or become the new standard of facelifting.

As a final intriguing point, it is quite ironic that the incision placement on the face and around the ears for a DPFL and SMAS Lift are exactly the same. Thus the patient, nor any surgeon for that matter, cannot tell which technique was exactly performed “under the hood” during surgery.

So will Deep Plane Facelifting stand the test of time?

Classic SMAS Lifts have been the “gold standard” of lower facelifting for multiple decades. They are effective, safe, reasonably affordable, and have a undeniable track record. I’m quite confident that in just a few years DPFLs will join the long and evergrowing list of “once hot” facial procedures that enjoyed a few moments of fame and hype, but fail the test of time. For reference, a few relevant surgical fads in the past decade include buccal fat removal, thread lifting, surgical “lip lifting”, and under eye filler for hollows to name a few.

In the interim, patients will need to decide if they wish to pay 2 to 3 times more for procedure that may yield slightly better results, has a much higher risk profile with longer recovery, and that most patients cannot afford in the first place.

Did you know that according to some national polls, The State of Nevada is ranked 50th in the nation when it comes to mental health services?

Dr. Faisal Suba and Dr. Daniel Park, two of the founding members of Alliance Mental Health Specialists, envisioned changing this statistic when they were in their Psychiatric Residency program through the University of Nevada-School of Medicine. They often talked about opening a small practice together when they graduated, but neither of them ever imagined that their practice would grow to the size that it is today.

“We saw a need and wanted to be part of the solution,” said Dr. Suba. “We would constantly hear how long it was taking for patients to get in to see a psychiatrist. We hoped by opening a large practice, we would be

able to help some of these patients find consistent and compassionate care.”  Founded in 2016, Alliance Mental Health Specialists has grown from 3 psychiatrists in Las Vegas, to 29 Psychiatric providers with an office in Las Vegas and Reno. Making Your Bottom A Top Priority

Let’s talk about a health topic that’s often overlooked but shouldn’t be— your backside.

Colonoscopies may get all the hype, but they’re only half the story when it comes to rear-end wellness. Anal cancer, a rising yet preventable disease, is rarely discussed, yet early detection can make all the difference. While it’s not exactly a dinner table topic, it’s time to start talking. Dr. Alireza Farabi is determined to lead the charge in Las Vegas to increase awareness, screenings, and—most importantly—save lives. Or really… Save Your Butt!

Dr. Alireza Farabi is a double board-certified Infectious Disease and Internal Medicine specialist with decades of experience in detecting and treating diseases. He has dedicated his career to ensuring that patients feel informed, comfortable, and proactive about their health. His work focuses on early detection through high-resolution anoscopy (HRA), a specialized technique designed to identify abnormal cells before they develop into cancer.

Nevada has never had a dedicated screening program for anal dysplasia—until now. Dr. Farabi and his team are bringing these essential services to the city, filling a critical

gap in preventive care. “We’re making these screenings accessible, stigma-free, and normal. We’re saving lives,” he says.

Who Should Get Their Rear in Gear?

While it’s easy to assume anal cancer is rare, the truth is that cases have been steadily increasing, and it’s linked to something most will have in their lifetime: HPV. Dr. Farabi adds, “HPV is the most common STI, and many can have it and may not know it.” That’s right, the same virus responsible for cervical cancer also causes anal dysplasia, the precursor to anal cancer.

Risk factors include a history of HPV, those with abnormal cervical pap smear results, HIV, a weakened immune system, and even just getting older. While some groups have a higher risk, this is a health concern for everyone. The good news? It’s preventable and treatable when caught early.

“Most people think if they get a colonoscopy, they’re in the clear,” Dr. Farabi says. “But it does not detect precancerous cells.” That’s why Dr. Farabi and his team offer specialized anal Pap smears and high-resolution anoscopy screenings, as well as treatment. Just like a cervical Pap test, these procedures check for abnormal cell changes before they become dangerous.

Women are screened annually for HPV during their cervical Pap smears, but why isn’t the same routine screening applied to anal health? The fact is- it should be, and it

will be if Dr. Farabi has anything to do with it. His mission is to change the conversation and make it a standard practice for everyone—particularly those that are high risk. Dr. Farabi stresses that screenings, lifestyle awareness, and HPV vaccinations can make all the difference.

Is the Resurrection of Jesus Fact or Fiction?

Many of the world’s religions propose some form of life after death. However, Christianity goes further. It unequivocally declares that its founder was the Son of God, and God revealed in the flesh — that He was crucified, died, was buried, and on the third day rose from the dead. It further claims that those who believe in Him and accept Him as Lord and Savior will live with Him in heaven eternally. Professor Jeremiah Johnston, in his powerful book Body of Proof: The Seven Best Reasons to Believe in the Resurrection of Jesus—and Why It Matters Today, points out that Christianity is the only belief system in the world that is historically testable. Drawing from Jewish and Roman records, Johnston identifies the likely date of the resurrection as April 7–9, A.D. 30. The resurrection either happened or it didn’t — and everything hinges on that.

Johnston presents seven historically grounded reasons for believing in the resurrection. His approach is refreshingly original, drawing on rare sources and pinpointing a date based on ancient calendars. He also addresses one of the most persistent questions: which of the two venerated tombs actually held Jesus’ body?

Before presenting his reasons, Johnston dismantles common objections — such as the claim that Jesus’ followers went to the wrong tomb. Jewish burial practices were meticulous, especially before the Sabbath, and tomb locations were carefully recorded. He also refutes the theory that the disciples stole the body. Roman guards secured the tomb, it was sealed, and the disciples were hiding in fear of arrest. The idea that they overpowered soldiers, moved the stone, and boldly preached a lie they knew to be false — despite beatings, imprisonment, and death — defies logic. Their actions contradicted everything Jesus taught about honesty and integrity.

FIRST: Johnston notes that wherever belief in the resurrection takes root, societies improve. Christianity’s influence has historically advanced human rights, education, and justice. By contrast, regimes that reject it—like Nazi Germany and communist states—tend toward oppression. The resurrection doesn’t just change individuals; it reshapes entire civilizations.

SECOND: Jesus repeatedly predicted His own death and resurrection. When asked for a sign of His authority, He replied, “I will give you one sign: My resurrection from the dead” (Matthew 12:38–42). Johnston stresses that Jesus publicly staked everything on this claim.

THIRD: Jesus showed power over death by raising others—like Lazarus, dead for four days—before rising Himself. Johnston distinguishes these events as resuscitations, not resurrections, since those individuals died again. Jesus rose with a glorified, eternal body—never to die again. These miracles pointed to His true mission: to defeat humanity’s two greatest enemies—death and sin.

FOURTH: Jesus’ followers had no motive to invent the resurrection. Jewish faith already expected a general resurrection at the end of time. Jesus foretold His death and resurrection, but the disciples neither grasped nor expected it. Had He predicted His own resurrection yet simply stayed dead, why would they fabricate a story guaranteed to bring ridicule, hardship, and execution?

FIFTH: Written and archaeological evidence support the resurrection narrative. Johnston highlights rarely discussed burial customs— like relocating bones a year after death— which required precise tracking of tombs. This reinforces the credibility of the empty tomb discovery just days after Jesus’ burial.

SIXTH: The resurrection best explains the radical conversions of Jesus’ skeptics. Saul of Tarsus persecuted Christians before claiming to have encountered the risen Christ—and died preaching that truth. James, Jesus’ own half-brother, once doubted Him, thinking He was out of His mind. But after the resurrection, James became a church leader and was martyred for his faith.

SEVENTH: Johnston argues that only the resurrection provides a framework for making sense of suffering. Without it, pain and injustice remain unresolved. But through the risen Christ, even suffering can be redeemed.

ARE GENERATIONAL CURSES AFFECTING YOUR BUSINESS OR LIFE?

Can generational curses affect you and your endeavors? Absolutely. Though it’s not a popular topic in most American churches, especially among evangelical circles, this reality is increasingly coming to light. Many congregations avoid the subject altogether, perhaps because teaching about generational curses also requires addressing how to be delivered from them. Yet a growing number of Christians are experiencing true transformation and freedom through teachings and ministry in this area.

The fact that something isn’t often preached doesn’t mean it isn’t real. The truth is in the Word of God, and in the testimonies of believers who have been set free. As someone who teaches business owners, entrepreneurs, and leaders from the Bible, I’ve seen how generational sins, what Scripture often calls iniquities, can directly impact one’s progress, both spiritually and even financially.

These teachings are for Christians; those who have professed Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. For non-believers or skeptics,

this may not make much sense. But for believers, it’s vital to understand the difference between sin, transgression, and iniquity. A sin is missing the mark. A transgression is a willful crossing of a known line. But, when those transgressions are repeated without repentance, they become iniquitous patterns, which are deep-rooted behaviors that can be passed down through generations. This is where generational curses begin.

Some may ask, how could this possibly relate to business or life success? Let’s take an example that may seem unrelated: abortion. The shedding of innocent blood is one of the seven things God hates, according to Proverbs 6:16–19. When abortion is present in a bloodline and remains unrepentant (meaning there’s no change of heart or mind and no covering by the blood of Jesus), it can open spiritual doors for the enemy to operate in destructive ways across generations.

As John 10:10 states, the enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy. He is also called “the accuser of the brethren” in Revelation 12:10, and that accusation can extend to unrepented sins in your bloodline. Maybe someone

in your ancestry stole an inheritance or took a life unjustly. Without repentance and the cleansing power of Jesus’ blood, those actions may be legally binding in the spiritual realm, giving the enemy access to interfere with your finances, relationships, or calling.

Many well-meaning Christians argue that Jesus’ death and resurrection automatically canceled all generational curses. But if that were entirely the case, why do so many believers still struggle with cycles of poverty, addiction, infirmity, or broken relationships? The truth is that while Jesus made the provision for freedom, we must appropriate it, just like salvation, healing, and deliverance. We must confront the issues, repent, and close the doors that have been open.

This is not a message of fear, but of hope. The blood of Jesus is powerful enough to not only cover our lives today but to cleanse our generational past. The Holy Spirit reveals what needs to be addressed, and when we respond in repentance and faith, we can break the cycles that have long plagued our families.

At Kingdom Wealth Managers (KWM), where I have the honor of serving as the primary speaker and spiritual advisor, we regularly address these issues with Christian professionals, entrepreneurs, and business leaders. First Choice Pregnancy Center’s Mission to Save the Babies

First, I want to thank First Choice Pregnancy Center so much for the opportunity to be here today and share my story with you all. I am truly blessed and honored.

Hi everyone, my name is Jessica. In 2022, I was preparing for divorce with my now ex-husband and away on travel for work. I had also met someone & quickly fell pregnant. In an unexpected turn of events, my husband became enraged hearing of the pregnancy and demanded that I abort the baby and demanded that we reconcile our marriage.

Under the pressure, demands and threats from my husband, I ordered the abortion pills online and had them delivered to my hotel. Never saw a doctor, never got an ultrasound, and even knowing I was at high risk for severe anemia should I complete them.

While back home, I stayed in what I called my torture chamber, or my bedroom, for over a week in bed while deliberating over taking the pills. My husband continued with the pressure and threats and told me the baby had to die and could not exist the world. In a final plea, I asked if I could just do adoption and even found a family that was willing to take the baby. He told me absolutely not.

I took the first pill and instantly felt this warmth over my womb that would come and go. It felt like my baby was being comforted or protected. Over the next 24 hours I drew on my nursing background (I’m a registered nurse). I realized how the pills worked and that my baby was probably not dead, given that I was about 9-10 weeks. My mom said a prayer and we headed out to get an ultrasound ASAP as we knew that time was crucial, and the clock was ticking to confirm.

We found First Choice Pregnancy Center who was able to get me in immediately. It was at about 32 hours after taking the first pill. And it was confirmed, my baby was alive, heart

beating at 160 and pregnancy still appeared viable. I started the abortion pill reversal protocol, and my baby was saved!

Unfortunately, I continued to endure much more drama and trauma, even making and cancelling additional abortion appointments. One day, my husband had driven me to the abortion clinic. When we were pulling in, I saw that it was on the same street where I saved my baby! I couldn’t do it and demanded he take me back home. I’m so grateful that First Choice has strategically placed their centers.

For the remainder of my pregnancy, my husband continued to be emotionally and verbally abusive. Telling me to “finish the job.” He left notes on my car, my door, and my mirror. We eventually divorced when I was 8 months pregnant. He continues to say nasty things to me to this day.

However, my baby, Kaylie Grace, who was also named after another non-profit who assisted me along the way, is perfectly healthy. She was thoroughly checked, and all her organs, labs, EKG, and heart are flawless. She is beautiful, smart, and healthy. She is the joy and piece of the puzzle we didn’t know our family was missing.

I have been so inspired to share that the abortion pill reversal works, and we are living proof. I even got to speak at Washington, DC. Thank you so much First Choice Pregnancy Center, all the donors, and Dr. Hamza. Kaylie wants to be a doctor, and we think maybe one day she will help save babies, too!

A FORCE FOR CHANGE

When Staci Maione learned the severity and depth of human trafficking that runs through the moral fabric of the country, she realized something had to be done to create a solution. She realized that this issue touches the youngest people in our society.

Agape Rescues Children, otherwise known as ARC, founded by Staci Maione, harbors a grand vision - to establish holistic healing homes and aftercare facilities for children rescued from the clutches of trafficking. Maione’s journey began with a stark realization: the vulnerability of our society’s youth to the horrors of trafficking. “I discovered a vast number of young children are kidnapped or sold into trafficking, often at birth,” Maione revealed. “With all the research that I’ve done, I discovered there was a huge void in what happened to them after they were rescued. I wanted to create places for the young children to call home if they couldn’t go back to their families.”

While Staci’s final visions for ARC are massive projects, in the meantime, she knows the importance of starting on a grassroots level. She adds, “I believe education is key to spotting and ending child trafficking.” She began engaging with County commissioners’ meetings, getting involved with local politics, and more. Collaborating with her friend Susan Ross, Staci developed an educational manual an ARC educational manual, which teaches the signs to look for, how predators lure children, the grooming process, etc. Staci explains, “I basically teach people, ‘If you see something say something! This is what to look for’ It could save a child’s life.”

From schools to nail salons, Maione takes her message wherever ears are open. Yet, she adds, “My ultimate goal with the educational manual is to get it into schools. Teaching kids to look out for one another…,” expressing that education is key.

Hello Loren,

I have a 2011 Honda Odyssey. It has a 6-cylinder engine. I have failed smog multiple times for Codes P0301-P0306 and P0300. I have had numerous repairs performed at a cost of over $3000. A new computer, spark plugs, and coils. All 6 injectors. The timing components were replaced a few months ago. I have 120k on it. My vehicle runs great! It just will not pass smog. Compression is over 180 psi on all 6 cylinders. I change my oil every 4 months with full synthetic. Do you have any suggestions?

I am not sure of what types of shops you are entrusting. These Honda V-6 engines are valve lash sensitive. When the engine is cold, the valve train contracts. The valves actually sink into the valve seats. The misfires are not harsh enough to feel, but the vehicle’s computer is sophisticated enough to detect them. At 120k, a valve adjustment should have been suggested multiple times if your repair shop is familiar with Honda engines. I hope this helps.
