BELLA CHIC DECOR: CREATING FUNCTIONAL ART

Leslie Elton has been busy inspiring and encouraging the next generation of female entrepreneurs. She is proud to introduce Bella Chic Decor. Bella Chic Decor is the brainchild of her 22-year-old daughter, Makenna Elton, a Native Las Vegan.

Bella Chic Decor is focused on creating elevated decor that is indulgently beautiful while also being functional. These gorgeous individually curated pieces are head turners that invoke genuine emotion and conversation. Resin Serving Trays & Charcuterie boards as well as Artisanal Candles are at the core of what BCD offers, with custom orders always welcome.

Makenna is building her new business using all of the skills she learned as the Manager of Pinspiration Henderson from the age of 20. And is so grateful for Leslie’s guidance and experience from running her own businesses over the years. Leslie is so excited to see her daughter grow to her fullest potential with her very own small business.

Of course, Makenna knows running her first small business will not be easy, while she works full time during the week, showcases her artwork at boutique markets and shows on the weekends, but she welcomes the challenge. Oh, and did we mention she was also recently accepted into her master’s program and will begin in the fall at UNLV?! Makenna knows that everything she does to achieve her goals will help her secure her future, family and to grow into a well rounded and accomplished woman.

Makenna has always been inspired by her mother’s “dream big and make it happen” attitude. Knowing that if you want it bad enough, you can achieve it. Whether it’s a premade piece or a custom order, you are sure to receive personally curated works of art. Makenna proudly creates everything with an attention to detail that is truly felt in her work.

Makenna’s goal is for her work to be highly sought after artwork in homes around the nation (and maybe even the worlddream big, right?!), and also to buy her first home within a couple of years. Makenna currently operates Bella Chic Decor at home, and one day aspires to have a storefront. But for now, you can find her participating in local boutique markets, working her way up.

This mother-daughter duo really embodies the entrepreneurial spirit of two generations in one business. Makenna represents a generation stuck between Millennial and Gen-z, where no one is really sure where they belong. Well, she’s carving out her very own spot and we can’t wait to see where she goes from here!
