MARIA NOVELLO: EMPOWERING OTHERS AND MAKING A DIFFERENCE

In today’s world, pageants have evolved into powerful platforms for empowerment, diversity, and leadership. Maria Novello, the reigning United States of America’s Ms. Nevada 2023, embodies these values as she utilizes her reign to make a lasting impact on her community.

As a representative of the United States of America’s Nevada pageant system, Maria embodies the values of this prestigious organization, which emphasizes empowering women, inspiring others and uplifting everyone, and fostering a strong sense of sisterhood among its contestants. Through her reign, Maria has demonstrated the impactful power of pageantry as she uses her platform as a microphone to encourage and inspire others, adding, “I want to make a difference, save a life, spark a dream, and be a positive role model for those little girls that will always look up to me.”

Maria Novello’s commitment to empowerment extends far beyond her pageant reign. She is an entrepreneur, philanthropist, investor, author, chaplain, mother of three, and advocate for vocational training. Inspired by her dedication to helping the underserved population, Maria founded the Nevada School of Professional Studies (NSPS) 15 years ago.

Known by her students and colleagues as “Boss lady,” Maria envisioned the school as a solution for providing vocational training and empowering individuals within the Las Vegas community. NSPS has become a recognized post-secondary vocational training school deeply rooted in Las Vegas. Offering programs in Microsoft, Information Technology, CompTia Certifications, Medical Billing and Coding, and Healthcare, the school equips students with the skills necessary to thrive in high-demand fields.

Additionally, Maria founded The Nevada School Foundation (TNSF), a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing scholarships to deserving individuals. Through TNSF, Maria grants the gift of education to those who may not have had access to such opportunities otherwise.

In her journey as a single parent and successful businesswoman, Maria has had to navigate the delicate balance between work and motherhood. She recognizes the challenges faced by solo parents and emphasizes the importance of a solid support system. Through her own experience, Maria has learned to capitalize on stolen moments, making the most of her time by multitasking and prioritizing tasks.

As a female leader, Maria aims to inspire and encourage her children to pursue their dreams and stay true to themselves. She believes in instilling a mindset of resilience, embracing the unknown, and doing what others are not willing to do. Maria also emphasizes the importance of empathy and supporting others, teaching her children to help other people feel good about themselves.

Maria Novello stands as an inspiring figure who uses her platform as a pageant queen, businesswoman, and advocate to make a difference in her community. Her journey serves as a reminder that with the right mindset and a commitment to hard work, anyone can achieve their dreams and positively influence the lives of those around them. MV
