Before you move in, we will schedule an assessment with you and your family to ensure that the best possible care is provided by our nursing and professional support staff. We will tailor a wellness program exclusively for you that includes any necessary nursing and personal support care. Our facility is a unique home with a wide range of activities to ensure opportunities for social interaction, physical activity, and positive mental health.

We identify the rising need for a more comprehensive care plan in your life and we will work together to develop an individualized nursing care plan where extra services may be purchased from the various outside agencies. This becomes an important assurance in terms of your care over a full twenty-fourhour basis.

a) A variety choice of suites which include forced air heat, full air conditioning.
b) Telephone and internet connections are personal expenses.
Lower-Level Single Suites $3,031
c) Surgical recovery, respite stays, and winter visits are welcome, when available.
d) A 24-hour personal monitoring system which includes an emergency call pendant worn by our residents. Regular room checks are provided by our resident care staff and supervised therapeutic spa baths, as well as showers are available and included in the monthly fee.
e) There are exercise classes for both specialized strengthening and balance, our goal is to preserve a person's optimum level of independence and assist to maintain a person's maximum functional capacity as outlined in the Care Plan.
f) Registered nursing care plan and medication administration is available in the monthly basic service fee. We offer a Care Plan review meeting with each resident and/or family member every six months with a Registered Staff member.
g) We have a wide variety of social and recreational programs that occur throughout the day or evening.
h) Our energetic and professional recreation staff organizes bus services for shopping, coffee shops, points of interest and sightseeing experiences as well as indoor activities that include music, games, social events, religious services, gardening, bingo, trivia, exercise and many more.
Fee Structure — Basic Service Pack
i) Housekeeping services are provided in the basic service fee. This includes personal laundry, and room cleaning. This service is scheduled weekly as well as being delivered on an “as needed" basis. We iron any laundered items before they are returned to your room.
j) Hairdressing services take place in our beautiful hair salon. You can discuss your needs and we can plan with one of our hairdressers. There are also hand and foot spa services available each month.
k) Three meals are served daily in our two formal dining rooms. Tea, coffee and juice are always available, and refreshments are offered throughout the day. We have a guest dining room that is available for reservations so that you can invite a friend or family member to join you at lunch or supper.
l) There are beautiful flower gardens (that have already won an award) that offer anyone with a green thumb the opportunity to be of help.
m) Library services are provided with the Owen Sound Public Library. You select what material you would like to read, and a Central Place staff member will pick up and return these items for you. There are also books and magazines in our own library and lounge areas of this facility.
n) Central Place Retirement Home benefits from on-site administration, which ensures maximum staff coverage and direct supervision of the personal needs of our clients. There are many private and well-appointed lounge areas which allow for easy and comfortable visitation. Family members are welcome to come and visit during daytime and evening hours.
After years of preparing meals for family or yourself, it’s time to sit back and enjoy the delicious meals at Central Place Retirement Community. Our experienced Chefs prepare a menu with a range of options, three meals a day including desserts. In between meals, there are always freshly baked cookies and treats available with beverages. Even better, there’s no table mess, dishes, kitchen clean up and no anxiety. All meals are made in-house with the freshest and most nutritious ingredients. The menu repeats every 35 days. Holidays are a special occasion at Central Place as residents are treated with traditional holiday meals and cheer. Our kitchen prepares alternative options with each meal and will meet any special dietary needs you may have.

For a second person, we have an additional $650.00 monthly fee added to the fee structure.
These fee structures include the Basic Service Package you may refer to the Care Home Information Package (CHIP). These fees are due on the first of every calendar month. For your convenience our office has established a preauthorized payment plan.
