Welcome to the October 2024 issue of MyPSA Newsletter.

This issue of the newsletter features important events of MyPSA including MyPSA National Events, MyPSA Annual Events, MyPSA International Events, World Pharmacists Day, Public Health Campaign and Local Vampire Cup. So don’t miss that out!

MyPSA (Malaysian Pharmacy Students’ Association) is an organization that serves as a platform for pharmacy students across Malaysia to connect, collaborate, and enhance their professional and personal development MyPSA is founded since 2005 and it is under the student chapter of Malaysian Pharmacists Society (MPS) since 2009 A variety of national and international events have been held annually in order to promote the pharmacy profession, facilitate networking opportunities, and foster the exchange of knowledge and ideas among pharmacy students These events include conferences, workshops, competitions, and public health campaign that aim to enhance the skills and competencies of future pharmacists Through these activities, MyPSA not only provides a platform for professional growth but also encourages students to engage in meaningful collaborations and contribute positively to the healthcare sector The organization’s dedication to nurturing well-rounded pharmacy professionals has made it a cornerstone in the development of Malaysia's pharmaceutical landscape.

WELCOMING DAY 2023/24

The MyPSA Subcommittee Welcoming Day, successfully held on February 3 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, is an event designed to introduce new subcommittees to the Malaysian Pharmacy Students' Association (MyPSA) and its working environment. The purpose of the event is to provide subcommittees with valuable insights into their responsibilities and job scope, ensuring they are well-prepared for their roles. Additionally, this event fosters bonding and networking opportunities between the MyPSA Executive Committees (ExCo) and subcommittees from various offices, creating a strong foundation for collaboration throughout the year.

MYPSA SUBCOMMITTEE BONDING

DAY 2023/24

The MyPSA Subcommittee Bonding Day 23/24, held on June 15, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM (GMT +8), is an online event aimed at fostering connections and teamwork among MyPSA subcommittee members The event includes a series of interactive activities, such as ice-breaking self-introductions and engaging game sessions like "Game of Tag," "Scattegories," and a creative "1 or 2" game, all conducted in breakout rooms. Additionally, there was a sharing session to discuss experiences and insights, followed by a Padlet session for feedback and a photography session to capture the memories. Hosted on Zoom, this two-hour event is designed to strengthen relationships among participants and build a sense of community within MyPSA.

MYPSA CONTACT PERSON

TRAINING 2023/24

The MyPSA Contact Person (CP) Training 2023/24 is an annual training held by MyPSA to equip CPs with a solid foundation and enhance their interpersonal skills relevant to their roles. The Executive Committees of MyPSA were invited to deliver comprehensive training covering both MyPSA and IPSF aspects through the CP101 session.

MYPSA MAINBOARD GATHERING 2023/24

The MyPSA MainBoard Gathering 2023/24 aims to provide a platform for the executive committees of MyPSA and the mainboards from 20 local societies under MyPSA to build and strengthen their relationships. This event was meticulously planned and organized by Vice President I, with significant support from the subcommittees of the VPI Office and the MyPSA executive committees, who acted as facilitators.

MYPSA NATIONAL HI-COM TRAINING 2023/24

MyPSA National Event Hi-COM Training 2023/24 was held for the official host high committees to have a better understanding of MyPSA as well as to expose the organizing committees to the MyPSA national events organizing procedure. Five sessions of MyPSA National Event Hi-COM Trainings have been held this tenure. 4 topics were being included in the training, which are project management, financial and delivery, email etiquette and documentation as well as workflow and SOP.

MYPSA METAMORPHOSIS 6.0 2024

MyPSA Metamorphosis 6.0 is dedicated to nurturing the growth of pharmacy students by offering a variety of opportunities to develop their leadership and interpersonal skills. Beyond skill enhancement, this event also enables participants to build intervarsity connections with fellow pharmacy students. The theme for MyPSA Metamorphosis 6.0 is "Pharmacy Future Leaders: Unlock Your Potential" The event is structured into three phases, spanning from April 2024 to August 2024. The first phase serves as an introduction, followed by the execution phase, and concluding with a reflective phase.

APRO LEVEL UP

The APRO Level Up Workshop on Sharpening Interpersonal Skills for Effective Communication and Conflict Resolution, hosted in collaboration with Badan Eksekutif Mahasiswa Fakultas Farmasi Universitas Indonesia (BEM FF UI), offers pharmacy students a valuable opportunity to refine their communication abilities and conflict resolution techniques. This event, a key feature of the APRO Collaboration Week 2024, is designed to foster a positive team culture and enhance participants' interpersonal skills, essential for their future careers The workshop is scheduled for February 25, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM (GMT+8) and conducted online via Zoom. With instruction provided by one of the IPSF top trainers, Mr Alan Tan, this workshop promises to be a pivotal experience for those looking to advance their communication and conflict resolution skills.

COLLABORATIVE WEBINAR

he MyPSA, in collaboration with FoP Nepal nd PSA-Taiwan, successfully hosted a ollaborative webinar titled "The Art of edical Writing: Insights Into Drug Discovery nd Regulations" on July 13, 2024 The event ok place online via Google Meet from 2:00 M to 4:00 PM (GMT +8) This webinar aimed deepen participants' understanding of edical writing, particularly in the context of ug discovery and regulatory affairs. The ontent of the webinar was rich and varied, aturing a presentation by Mr. Manoj Kumar adava, a deep dive into the member ganizations, an educational session on ood Pharmacy Practice in Pediatrics (GPPed), and interactive activities such as games and quizzes.

MYPSA X APHA-ASP X PSA-TAIWAN

JOINT FORUM

The APhA-ASP × MyPSA × PSA-Taiwan Joint Forum, held in collaboration with the American Pharmacists Association – Academy of Student Pharmacists (APhA-ASP) and the Pharmaceutical Students’ Association of Taiwan (PSA-Taiwan), successfully held on March 3, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM via Zoom. This event provides a fantastic opportunity to engage in a networking initiative where you can connect with like-minded pharmacy students from around the world, exchange ideas about academic life, and explore different cultures. If you're eager to build international friendships and broaden your perspectives, this forum is the ideal platform for you.

PHARMANDARIN 2024

The Pharmandarin 2024 event took place in Singapore from July 26 to July 28, 2024. During the event, participants gained valuable pharmaceutical knowledge and engaged in stimulating discussions on global health issues. The program also included team-building activities designed to foster international friendships among students from diverse backgrounds Participants gained unique opportunity to broaden their horizons and build lasting connections with their international peers.

MYPSA 1ST GENERAL MEETING 2024

On February 16, 2024, the 1st General Meeting of MyPSA was successfully held via Zoom, with participation from Mainboards, Presenters, ExCos, Observers, and Subcommittees. The meeting provided updates on the 7th MyPSA National Pharmacy Research Competition (NPRC) 2024, hosted by UKM, and the 17th MyPSA National Pharmacy Sports Carnival (NPSC) 2024. It was announced that Taylor’s University will host the 19th MyPSA National Gathering of Pharmacy Students (NoGAPS) 2024, and UoC will host the 10th MyPSA National Pharmacy Debate Competition (NPDC) 2024. Additionally, IMU and MAHSA were appointed to co-host the 4th MyPSA National Pharmacy Competition (NPC) 2024.

MYPSA 2ND GENERAL MEETING 2024

On May 4, 2024, MyPSA successfully held its 2nd General Meeting via Zoom. Key topics discussed included the MyPSA CPD System, the MyPSA International Activity Sponsorship Plan, and the MyPSA Financial Installment Plan designed to support members from lower-income families attending international events. Additionally, updates were provided on the resignation of subcommittee from the Entrepreneurship Office, and the progress of the 4th MyPSA National Pharmacy Competition (NPC) 2024, highlighting the participation numbers in various challenges.

MYPSA 3RD GENERAL MEETING 2024

On July 13, 2024, MyPSA held its 3rd General Meeting via Zoom. The meeting covered important updates on the 17th MyPSA National Pharmacy Sports Carnival (NPSC) 2024, the 19th MyPSA National Gathering of Pharmacy Students (NoGAPS) 2024, and the 10th MyPSA National Pharmacy Debate Competition (NPDC) 2024. Additionally, open bidding processes for hosting the 5th MyPSA National Pharmacy Competition (NPC) 2025 and the 8th MyPSA National Pharmacy Research Competition (NPRC) 2025 were discussed. The meeting also introduced guidelines for local societies on scouting external sponsors for participants in MyPSA National Events, ensuring that these efforts align with MyPSA’s values and objectives.

MYPSA SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING 2024

On July 13, 2024, MyPSA successfully held its 1st Special General Meeting via Zoom, where the Mainboards and ExCos discussed and accepted updates on several key issues, including the criteria for Executive Committees, the MyPSA bank account, the resignation procedure for committees due to withdrawal from pharmacy school, the association's treasury, the MyPSA annual membership fee structure, and the MyPSA official membership card

MYPSA PROMOTIONAL TOUR

The MyPSA Promotional Tour is an engaging virtual event designed to introduce pharmacy students across Malaysia to the dynamic world of MyPSA and its affiliations. The tour kicks off with a comprehensive introduction to MyPSA, IPSF, and the IPSF APRO, alongside a detailed overview of the student exchange program. Participants then test their knowledge and learn more through an interactive quiz session. Aimed particularly at first-year students, the tour highlights the benefits of joining MyPSA, enriching their academic and professional journey.

FEE WAIVER

Since MyPSA was established back in February 2005, MyPSA has received continuous support from pharmacy students of different local societies. As an initiative to improve the welfare of MyPSA members, selected eligible, needy MyPSA members can apply for a membership fee waiver to lower the financial burden of outstanding and active MyPSA members.

MYPSA EASYPARCEL

MyPSA utilises EasyParcel to ease the delivery processes of MyPSA merchandise. Realising its potential benefits on other events, the MyPSA EasyParcel is open for other events such as National Events, Public Health Campaigns and other MyPSA events for use. With the utilisation of EasyParcel, parcel delivery orders can be made at the lowest price possible.

‘WHAT’S NEXT AFTER PRE-U: PHARMACY PATHWAY UNVEILED’ WEBINAR

‘What’s Next After Pre-U: Pharmacy Pathway Unveiled’ is a newly proposed ExCo event by Project Officer Themed ‘Your Ultimate Guide to Pursuing a Pharmacy Course’, the webinar aims to provide SPM/ IGCSE leavers and preuniversity students with a comprehensive introduction to pharmacy course, offering valuable insights into career opportunities, and the exciting world of pharmaceutics. This webinar may also serve as a platform to increase the exposure of MyPSA for future pharmacy students.

PHARMCARING: NURSING HOME VISITATION

The MyPSA x BiG Pharmacy Pharmcaring Nursing Home Visitation aims to raise awareness of the three 'highs' (hypertension, hypercholesterolemia, and hyperglycemia) and cardiovascular diseases among the elderly Organized through a collaboration between the Project Office and Public Health Office, the initiative focuses on educating the elderly with accurate health information, offering practical counseling, and deepening the understanding of their healthcare needs. Additionally, the project seeks to foster love, care, and joy within the community, while strengthening the bond and trust between healthcare professionals and the elderly

CAREER FORUM

The MyPSA Pharmacy Graduate Career Forum (PGCF) 2024 is a physical event organized by Advocacy Office and Project Office in collaboration with Monash Malaysia Pharmacy Alumni (MMPA) Network. This full-day event features Provisionally Registered Pharmacist (PRP) sharing sessions, talk shows, and a networking session The theme, "Empowering Pharmacy Professionals for Tomorrow," highlights the forum's mission to equip pharmacy graduates with essential knowledge, skills, and networks to advance their careers, emphasizing proactive career planning, continuous learning, and diverse career pathways, particularly in PRP training.

19TH MYPSA NOGAPS 2024

The National Gathering of Pharmacy Students (NoGAPS) is an annual event supervised by the Project Office of Malaysian Pharmacy Students' Association (MyPSA), uniting pharmacy students from 20 universities across Malaysia. The 19th MyPSA NoGAPS 2024, hosted by Taylor’s University Pharmacy Students’ Society (TuPSS), aimed to foster connections and promote unity among students through workshops and symposiums Held at Taylor’s University Lakeside campus, the theme "C.U.R.E: Connect. Unite. Reminisce. Excellence" emphasized learning and skill-building Besides workshops and symposiums, activities such as Public Health Campaign Challenge (PHCC), Team Building Games, Pharmazing Race, and Gala Night encouraged networking and collaboration among participants.

17TH MYPSA NPSC 2024

The MyPSA National Pharmacy Sports Carnival (NPSC) is an annual event organized by the Malaysian Pharmacy Students' Association (MyPSA), running for 16 years. It offers a variety of sports, including e-sports, swimming, track & field, basketball, table tennis, volleyball, futsal, badminton, petanque, tennis, squash and netball, bringing together pharmacy students from across Malaysia to compete for the championship The 17th MyPSA NPSC 2024, hosted by the MyPSA Project Office with open recruitment mechanism, themed “Breaking Barriers; Igniting Spirits!”, invited pharmacy students from 20 universities to participate this highly anticipated sports event

The MyPSA Awards 2023/24 is an event dedicated to recognizing and celebrating the remarkable achievements and contributions of local pharmacy societies and students throughout the year This event acknowledges the hard work, dedication, and impact made by individuals and groups in the pharmacy community. Each local society will have the opportunity to nominate their own members and vote for those they believe deserve to be honored with prestigious awards. It’s a platform to showcase excellence and inspire continued commitment to the advancement of pharmacy community.

4TH MYPSA NATIONAL PHARMACY COMPETITION (NPC) 2024

The 4th MyPSA National Pharmacy Challenge (NPC) 2024, held at IMU University Bukit Jalil Campus, in collaboration with IPSA, IMU University and MuPSS, MAHSA University was a national event involving 20 Malaysian universities. It aimed to enhance pharmacy students' professional skills in clinical pharmacy and compounding, while testing their general knowledge. The NPC features three challenges: the Piala Aishah Compounding Challenge (PA), Clinical Pharmacy Challenge (CC), and Pharmacy Quiz Challenge (QC). The event promoted healthy competition and networking among pharmacy students nationwide, providing a platform to showcase their knowledge and skills.

MYPSA COMPOUNDING EVENT 2024

MyPSA Compounding Event 2024 was an online competition with the theme ‘The Equation: Mastering the Science of Precision in Compounding’. It was designed to enhance pharmacy students' skills in compounding and formulation, focusing on extemporaneous dosage forms The competition consisted of two rounds: a preliminary round and a final round Participants were divided into junior and senior categories based on their year of study to ensure fair competition.

7TH MYPSA NATIONAL PHARMACY RESEARCH COMPETITION (NPRC) 2024

National Pharmacy Research Competition (NPRC) is an annual event under the Education Office’s portfolio, which involves 20 pharmacy student societies in Malaysia. The 7th MyPSA NPRC 2024 consisted of a main competition and various side activities including Young Researchers Challenge and webinars that were conducted throughout the programme. In 2024, Persatuan Mahasiswa Fakulti Farmasi (PMFFar) organised the 7th MyPSA NPRC with the theme of “Discovering the potentiality of future RxInnovators”, providing a platform for pharmacy students to explore their talents in the research and development of pharmacy, and put their research work and research skills to test.

MYPSA ARTICLE AND POLICY WRITING WORKSHOP 2024

(IN COLLABORATION WITH ADVOCACY OFFICE)

The MyPSA Article and Policy Writing Workshop 2024 was a collaborative project between the Education Office and the Advocacy Office. The event aimed to enhance pharmacy students’ writing skills, specifically in article writing and policy writing, provided practical guidance on structuring research articles and refining writing skills, which might be helpful in students’ Final Year Project (FYP), and introduced participants to the fundamentals of policy writing, and equipped students with the skills necessary to craft clear and effective policies Students from various universities and students from different years of studies were welcomed to join to prepare for their final year project and get some insights on policy writing.

MYPSA CLINICAL PRACTICE

GUIDELINES (CPG) CHALLENGE 2024

The MyPSA Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPG) Challenge 2024 aimed to promote awareness of applying Clinical Practice Guidelines among all local pharmacy students. It was also to enhance students’ knowledge of Breast Cancer in order to manage it well in the future, and educated pharmacy students’ clinical decision-making in order to improve the quality of healthcare in Malaysia. The theme of the MyPSA Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPG) Challenge 2024 was the Management of Breast Cancer.

SERIES 2024: CLINICAL PHARMACY VISIT

MyPSA Educational Trip has been one of the flagship events under MyPSA Education Office The first MyPSA Educational Trip Series 2024 themed "Dive into PharmExplorations – Clinical Pharmacy Visit” strived to provide exposure for pharmacy students in Malaysia to have a more comprehensive understanding of the job scope of hospital pharmacists.

MYPSA I CAN-CER VIVE

VIRTUAL RUN 2024

I Can-cer Vive Virtual Run 2024 is a health awareness event organised by Public Health Office. It was conducted virtually in conjunction with ‘World Cancer Day’ which falls on 4th February 2024. The virtual run provided an opportunity to show support for individuals currently battling cancer and celebrate the strength and resilience of survivors. The participants were given three weeks to complete a 5 km run. It was considered “success” if a participant could complete a 5 km run within one hour and thirty minutes in one single track using certain tracking apps. All participants were requested to take a photo before/during/after the virtual run and write some uplifting words to encourage cancer patients. The pictures and messages were then compiled into a video and posted on MyPSA as well as MPS social media.

MYPSA X UKM GREEN LUNG: GREEN LUNG

SHOUT OUT WEBINAR

The Green Lung Shout Out Webinar, hosted on 1st June 2024 by the Green Lung Club of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia alongside PMFFar and MyPSA, aimed to raise awareness on the harms of smoking and vaping, and promote effective cessation strategies. The event featured two webinars addressing nicotine addiction in e-cigarettes and public policies to curb vaping, led by distinguished speakers. A follow-up workshop engaged participants in group discussions and role-play exercises, fostering hands-on experience in smoking cessation counselling. Participants gained insights into smoking's health risks, learned practical cessation methods, and enhanced key professional skills such as communication and teamwork, reinforcing MyPSA's role in public health promotion and advocacy

PUBLIC HEALTH CAMPAIGN

Local societies collaborated with MyPSA to conduct public health campaigns, each focusing on a specific health topic but sharing the common goal of promoting health awareness within communities Various activities were conducted throughout the campaigns, incorporating elements such as Pharmacy Profession Awareness, Know Your Medicine, Antimicrobial Resistance Awareness, Professional Medicine Review and Consultation, Blood Donation, and more.

PUBLIC HEALTH CAMPAIGN CHALLENGE (PHCC) 2024

Public Health Campaign Challenge (PHCC) is a national level competition organised annually by the Public Health Office (PHO). PHCC serves as a platform for pharmacy students from various universities to showcase their respective Public Health Campaigns (PHCs) through presentations. PHCs were conducted by local societies to promote public health awareness and education regarding prevalent health issues, thereby improving the quality of life of the communities. PHCC was held in conjunction with the 19th National Gathering of Pharmacy Students (NoGAPS) 2024 at Taylor’s University. The winners of the top three Best Presenter Award, Best Public Health Campaign Award and ‘Dracula Award’ were announced at the end of the event

MYPSA MERCHANDISE LAUNCH

The MyPSA Merchandise Launch introduced an exciting new collection for members to enjoy in the form of the MyPSA T-Shirt Ver. 2024 as well as the lanyard! This launch showcased a range of thoughtfully designed merchandise, featuring items voted for by members in the Pre-Merch Survey. With a variety of stylish and functional products, the launch not only reflected the creativity of our community but also provided members with unique items to proudly represent MyPSA.

The MyPSA Pre-Merch Survey was an online poll open to all MyPSA members, giving them the opportunity to choose the merchandise they'd like to see in future launches. It offered members a platform to share their opinions and vote for the designs they loved most! As such, the MyPSA T-Shirt Ver. 2024 was introduced!

The Merch-A-Preneur 2024 is an event designed to promote MyPSA merchandise to pharmacy students in Malaysia and the public through a creative and innovative platform. Its primary objectives include increasing future merchandise sales, showcasing effective marketing strategies as a means of entrepreneurship, and maximising the exposure of MyPSA social media to the public. The event aims to boost the sale of merchandise in upcoming sales and demonstrate a way of marketing to the public as a means of entrepreneurship

MYPSA YOUNG ENTREPRENEUR PROGRAMME (YEP) 2024

The Young Entrepreneur Programme (YEP) 2024 is MyPSA’s annual flagship event designed to cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset among pharmacy students through a dynamic and innovative platform Its primary objectives include providing participants with hands-on experience in creating thorough business strategies under expert supervision, showcasing practical skills in entrepreneurship. The programme also aims to offer valuable networking opportunities, connecting participants with industry professionals, mentors, and fellow aspiring entrepreneurs, fostering collaboration and the exchange of ideas within the field of pharmapreneurship

MYPSA INSTAGRAM STICKERS

MyPSA Instagram stickers function as engaging visual elements that promote events, raise awareness about pharmacy-related topics, encourage interaction with the audience, and reinforce the MyPSA brand on social media Each month, the Multimedia Office will prepare and post five stickers related to events happening that month.

MYPSA MADE IN MALAYSIA: SHORTS AND REELS COMPETITION

(IN COLLABORATION WITH MULTIMEDIA OFFICE)

The MyPSA Made In Malaysia: Shorts and Reels Competition is a collaborative project between the Student Exchange Office and the Multimedia Office The competition provided an opportunity for pharmacy students to develop videography editing processes and techniques, as well as stay updated on the latest trends. It was a great way to celebrate the creativity, culture, and history of Malaysia while offering valuable experiences for learning and professional development

MYPSA TV

MyPSA TV is an initiative under the Publication Officer However, due to unforeseen circumstances, it is handled by the Multimedia Office this year. There are three episodes of MyPSA TV for this tenure, including NPRC, NoGAPS, and World Congress. MyPSA TV is an initiative to update MyPSA annual or national events to public and MyPSA members in TV news style video.

MYPSA SHORT VIDEOS

The MyPSA short videos are prepared by the Multimedia Office, covering various topics such as the effects of sleep deprivation, signs of anemia and proper disposal of expired medications. In addition, Multimedia Office collaborates with the Education Office and Public Health Office to create videos that align with their infographics on topics such as MELAS syndrome, Prader-Willi syndrome, World Cancer Day and World Blood Donor Day. These informative short videos aim to educate the public on important health issues and raise awareness about various medical conditions.

GLOBAL VIRTUAL STUDENT EXCHANGE PROGRAMME (SEP)

This Virtual SEP was held in December where MyPSA collaborated with more than 10 countries in hosting this event. The Virtual SEP includes various talks and sharing sessions from speakers from each country. Students also get to interact with pharmacy students from other countries as well through interactive sessions and presentations about pharmacy practices from their own country.

IPSF WINTER STUDENT EXCHANGE PROGRAMME (SEP)

The IPSF Winter Student Exchange Programme (SEP) was held from October to March, where the registration for MyPSA was opened in December Interested applicants are required to undergo a pre-selection interview, where it was done under the accompaniment of President and VP II. We successfully sent out 3 outgoing students to countries like Taiwan and the UK Two students were placed in the community pharmacy where one was placed in a hospital setting.

IPSF SUMMER STUDENT EXCHANGE PROGRAMME (SEP)

The IPSF Summer Student Exchange Programme (SEP) was held from April to September For the Summer SEP, MyPSA will send out outgoing students as well as receive incoming students. We have successfully sent out 3 outgoing students to countries like Australia. On the other hand, we have received 8 incoming students from countries such as Egypt, Canada, Slovenia, Jordan and Iran. All of the incoming students were placed in the research field where they get to be placed in our local universities such as UM, Monash University and University of Cyberjaya. The incoming students also had the chance to interact with the local students via our social activities such as the SEP weekend, SEP Trip and SEP Visiting Programme

SEP 3D2N PENANG TRIP

This event is designed as a bonding trip for international students participating in the physical Summer SEP 2024 in Malaysia to go on a short vacation in Penang, Malaysia. The concept of the event is a relaxing trip for international students to travel around Malaysia amidst hectic internship schedules and explore the beauty of Malaysia In addition to sightseeing, the trip includes various social activities, such as social night and team building games, are planned during the trip to encourage cultural exchange between international students and Malaysian students, which consists of the organising committees. A this 3 Days 2 Nights tour is the most anti SEP social activity, offering a unique oppo for participants to connect and experiences

SEP VISITING PROGRAMME

The International MY-Friend Day Visiting Programme is an exciting new initiative for incoming students participating in the Summer Student Exchange Program (SEP) in Malaysia. This engaging 4-day, 3-night excursion in Kuala Lumpur offers both international and local pharmacy students a refreshing break from their busy schedules. The programme combines cultural exploration with visits to local attractions, unique batik activities, and a tour of a leading pharmaceutical factory. It’s designed to provide an enriching experience that fosters crosscultural connections and offers valuable insights into Malaysia's heritage and industry, while also allowing students to explore pharmaceutical fields not covered in their SEP placements

MYPSA ARTICLE AND POLICY WRITING WORKSHOP 2024

(IN COLLABORATION WITH EDUCATION OFFICE)

The MyPSA Article and Policy Writing Workshop 2024 is a collaborative project between the Education Office and the Advocacy Office The event aims to enhance pharmacy students’ writing skills, specifically in article writing and policy writing, provide practical guidance on structuring research articles and refining writing skills, which might be helpful in students’ Final Year Project (FYP), and introduce participants to the fundamentals of policy writing, and equip students with the skills necessary to craft clear and effective policies. Students from various universities and students from different years of studies are welcome to join to prepare for their final year project and get some insights on policy writing

QUALIFYING EXAMINATION TO PRACTICE PHARMACY TUTORIAL (QET) 2024

Qualifying Examination to Practice Pharmacy Online Tutorial (QET) is hosted by MyPSA annually to increase the chance of pharmacy students to pass the QEPP exam and to familiarise pharmacy students with the format and technique to answer the QEPP exam Students from foreign universities and students from other years of studies are also welcome to join for the examination preparation. A total of 7 speakers were invited to cover several topics that will be tested in the QEPP Examination.

MYPSA PHARMACY GRADUATE CAREER

FORUM (PGCF) 2024

MyPSA Pharmacy Graduate Career Forum (PGCF) 2024 is an annual event planned through collaborations among officers this year. PGCF 2024 serves as a whole-day event which consists of Provisionally Registered Pharmacist (PRP) sharing sessions, forum sessions, and a networking session. The PGCF of this year, themed ‘Empowering Pharmacy Professionals for Tomorrow’. This theme captures the essence of the MyPSA Pharmacy Graduate Career Forum (PGCF) 2024 as a platform dedicated to empowering pharmacy graduates to achieve success in their careers. By providing valuable insights, guidance, and resources, the forum aims to equip participants with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate the complexities of the pharmacy profession.

MYPSA PHARMINSIGHTS: SHARING PHARMACY STUDENTS ATTACHMENT EXPERIENCES

MyPSA PharmInsights serves as a 45 minutes internship sharing session, which comprises Registered Pharmacists (RPhs), Provisionally Registered Pharmacists (PRPs), pharmacy fresh graduates, several senior year pharmacy students (Year 4) as guest speakers and audiences who are interested to join without any charges. Through the sharing session, a Q&A session will be followed to answer the audience’s doubts in advance. This sharing session is a new initiative to be held by this office, and it is designed especially for the students who are yet to do with all or certain attachments Besides, students who have done with attachments are also welcome to join the session to get to know more about the environment of other hospitals, companies or industries.
