You can find insects that live on plants.

You can find insects that live in ponds.

How to find insects on a plant To find insects that live on plants, you will need a big plastic bag and a sheet of paper.

1. Put the plastic bag around a branch on a tree.

2. Shake the branch.

3. Take the bag off the branch.

5. Look at the insects. Do not pick up the insects. Some insects can bite.

4. Tip the insects onto the sheet of paper.

6. Let the insects go.

1. Drag the net through the water.

To find insects that live in ponds, you will need a butterfly net and a bucket of water.

2. Shake the insects out of the net and into the bucket of water.

Do not pick up the insects.

Some insects can bite.
