Support the students in activating their prior knowledge. Visual literacy Have students choose three animals from the book: one that has changed slowly over time; one that has changed quite quickly; and one that has not changed. Have them create a visual table of these three animals, with labels outlining the name of the animal and their changes or lack of changes.
