dear

NCC FAMILY & FRIENDS,

Just one year ago, we stepped into a catalytic, once-in-a-decade moment—a bold and faith-filled journey unlike anything we’ve ever undertaken as a church. With prayerful hearts and open hands, we launched our One More Vision Initiative!

Now, we are at the midpoint—the work is unfinished, but we know God is still moving. He’s not done with us. He’s not done with NCC.

This is a movement of Vision, Generosity, and Disciplieship. Our deepest desire is for 100% participation—for every person who calls NCC home to be part of this life-changing season. We don’t want anyone to miss the opportunity to go deeper with Jesus and be part of what He’s doing.

We’ve seen God move in powerful ways— lives changed, hearts awakened, and new stories of faith written. And yet, we believe the best is still ahead.

That’s why we’ve created this guide—not just as a roadmap for the year ahead, but as a spiritual companion for your journey. Inside, you’ll find questions to reflect on, scriptures to meditate on, and space to record what God is speaking to you. Our hope is that this guide, paired with your prayer life, becomes a catalyst to help you deepen your relationship with Him.

No matter where you are in your walk with God—whether you’re just beginning or have been following Him for decades—know this: He’s not done with you. Philippians 1:6 reminds us that, "He who began a GOOD WORK

in you will CARRY IT on to completion.

"

And Ephesians 3:20 declares, "God is able to do IMMEASURABLY MORE than all we ask or imagine."

This means your most impactful, transformative, and joyfilled days may still be ahead.

As we shift from One More to Everyone, we’re declaring NCC is not just for the next person—it’s for every person. Half-way through, we are unfinished. Not just projects but as His followers, as His church. But Unstoppable because when God is at work in His church, even the Gates of Hell cannot prevail against it!

This next season will be marked by unprecedented compassion in us, unlimited hope through us, and uncompromising faith among us. We believe God will do something in us, through us, and among us that will ripple far beyond the 99 Corridor.

One of the greatest honors of my life is to walk this journey with you. Let’s keep pressing forward—unfinished, yes, but absolutely unstoppable.

Serving Together, David

"NOW

TO HIM WHO IS ABLE TO DO

immeasurably

more THAN ALL WE ASK OR IMAGINE ACCORDING TO HIS POWER THAT IS AT WORK WITHIN US..."

EPHESIANS 3:20 (NIV)

where WE'VE been...

TIGARD CAMPUS

In 1959, 26 ordinary people signed a charter for a new church. And they didn’t play it safe. They took major faith steps—from hiring a 21 year old Bible college student as their founding pastor, LeRoy Lawson, to buying a 3 acre filbert/hazelnut farm, turning a chicken coop into a missionary cottage, and a barn into a youth center, into saying we want to continue to transform the 99 Corridor and beyond for Jesus. That faith eventually became Northwest Christian Church Tigard.

MCMINNVILLE CAMPUS

In 1968, a group of ordinary, faith-filled people decided to be a light in McMinnville. They launched a church not with fanfare, but with faith. They held their first meetings in the home of Rob and Joyce Crump, with daughter Margie playing the small family organ. Families like the Greens, Andersons, Dancers and Reinhardts were part of the 20 or so families who joined in over the first few months, and together the group connected with God and others, and grew in their relationships—vertical and horizontal. People started finding Jesus, were being baptized, and were growing in their faith. That spark eventually became Northwest Christian Church McMinnville.

NEWBERG CAMPUS

In 1907, a group of 34 faithful pioneers—ordinary people with extraordinary trust—became charter members of a church in Newberg. They relocated, built some more, served inside and outside the church walls. While their location changed, their mission stayed the same – to love God, love people, and make disciples. They continue to serve the community locally and globally through Community Kitchen, a food pantry, after school programs, recovery programs, counseling, foster care and special needs support, and missions in Mexico, Honduras, Kenya and more. In 2019 Newberg Chrisitan Church merged with Tigard Christian Church, Adventure Christian Church and West Hills Christian Church to become Northwest Christian Church.

ONLINE CAMPUS

In 2019, NCC launched an online expression creating the ability to connect people digitally. In 2020, Northwest Christian Church added an Online Campus to become 1 church in 4 locations. With the 2020 global shut down as a result of the Covid pandemic, the need arose to connect people remotely through technology even more. Offering online worship services as well as life groups, NCC's online campus continues to use technology to spread the gospel and connect others with Jesus.

SCRIPTURE

I am certain that GOD , who BEGAN the good work within you, will CONTINUE His work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.

- Philippians 1:6

One day Terah took his son Abram, his daughter-in-law Sarai (his son Abram’s wife), and his grandson Lot (his son Haran’s child) and moved away from Ur of the Chaldeans. He was headed for the land of Canaan, but they stopped at Haran and settled there.

- Genesis 11:31

The Lord had said to Abram, " LEAVE your native country, your relatives, and your father's family, and GO to the land that I will show you. I will make you into a great nation. I will BLESS you and make you famous, and you will be a blessing to others. I will bless those who bless you and curse those who treat you with contempt. ALL the families on earth will be BLESSED through you." So Abram departed as the Lord had instructed, and Lot went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he left Haran.

- Genesis 12:1-4

I will cause your descendants to become as numerous as the stars of the sky, and I will give them all these lands. And through your descendants ALL the nations of the earth will be BLESSED

- Genesis 26:4

UNFINISHED TRUST... study

SCRIPTURE

Some time later, the Lord spoke to Abram in a vision and said to him, “ DO NOT BE AFRAID , Abram, for I will protect you, and your reward will be great.”

But Abram replied, “O Sovereign Lord, what good are all Your blessings when I don’t even have a son? Since You’ve given me no children, Eliezer of Damascus, a servant in my household, will inherit all my wealth. You have given me no descendants of my own, so one of my servants will be my heir.”

Then the Lord said to him, “No, your servant will not be your heir, for you will have a son of your own who will be your heir.” Then the Lord took Abram outside and said to him, “Look up into the sky and count the stars if you can. That’s how many descendants you will have!”

And Abram BELIEVED the Lord, and the Lord counted him as righteous because of his faith.

Then the Lord told him, “I am the Lord who brought you out of Ur of the Chaldeans to give you this land as your possession.”

But Abram replied, “O Sovereign Lord, how can I be sure that I will actually possess it?”

The Lord told him, “Bring me a three-year-old heifer, a threeyear-old female goat, a three-year-old ram, a turtledove, and a young pigeon.” So Abram presented all these to him and killed them. Then he cut each animal down the middle and laid the halves side by side; he did not, however, cut the birds in half. Some vultures swooped down to eat the carcasses, but Abram chased them away.

As the sun was going down, Abram fell into a deep sleep, and a terrifying darkness came down over him. Then the Lord said to Abram, “You can be sure that your descendants will be strangers in a foreign land, where they will be oppressed as slaves for 400 years. But I will punish the nation that enslaves them, and in the end they will come away with great wealth. (As for you, you will die in peace and be buried at a ripe old age.) After four generations your descendants will return here to this land, for the sins of the Amorites do not yet warrant their destruction.”

After the sun went down and darkness fell, Abram saw a smoking firepot and a flaming torch pass between the halves of the carcasses. So the Lord made a COVENANT with Abram that day and said, “I have given this land to your descendants, all the way from the border of Egypt to the great Euphrates River—the land now occupied by the Kenites, Kenizzites, Kadmonites, Hittites, Perizzites, Rephaites, Amorites, Canaanites, Girgashites, and Jebusites.”

UNFINISHED PRIORITIES... study

SCRIPTURE

So Abram left Egypt and traveled north into the Negev, along with his wife and Lot and all that they owned. (Abram was very rich in livestock, silver, and gold.)

- Genesis 13:1-2

But the land could not support both Abram and Lot with all their flocks and herds living so close together. So disputes broke out between the herdsmen of Abram and Lot. (At that time Canaanites and Perizzites were also living in the land.)

Finally Abram said to Lot, “Let’s not allow this conflict to come between us or our herdsmen. After all, we are close relatives! The whole countryside is open to you. Take your choice of any section of the land you want, and we will separate. If you want the land to the left, then I’ll take the land on the right. If you prefer the land on the right, then I’ll go to the left.”

Lot took a long look at the fertile plains of the Jordan Valley in the direction of Zoar. The whole area was well watered everywhere, like the garden of the Lord or the beautiful land of Egypt. (This was before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah.) Lot chose for himself the whole Jordan Valley to the east of them. He went there with his flocks and servants and parted company with his uncle Abram. So Abram settled in the land of Canaan, and Lot moved his tents to a place near Sodom and settled among the cities of the plain. But the people of this area were extremely wicked and constantly sinned against the Lord.

-Genesis 13:6-13

Then the rebel kings of Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, Zeboiim, and Bela (also called Zoar) prepared for battle in the valley of the Dead Sea. They fought against King Kedorlaomer of Elam, King Tidal of Goiim, King Amraphel of Babylonia, and King Arioch of Ellasar—four kings against five. As it happened, the valley of the Dead Sea was filled with tar pits. And as the army of the kings of Sodom and Gomorrah fled, some fell into the tar pits, while the rest escaped into the mountains.

UNFINISHED SURRENDER... study

SCRIPTURE

Some time later, God tested Abraham’s faith. “Abraham!” God called.

“Yes,” he replied. “Here I am.”

“Take your son, your only son—yes, Isaac, whom you love so much—and go to the land of Moriah. Go and sacrifice him as a burnt offering on one of the mountains, which I will show you.”

The next morning Abraham got up early. He saddled his donkey and took two of his servants with him, along with his son, Isaac. Then he chopped wood for a fire for a burnt offering and set out for the place God had told him about. On the third day of their journey, Abraham looked up and saw the place in the distance. “Stay here with the donkey,” Abraham told the servants. “The boy and I will travel a little farther. We will worship there, and then we will come right back.”

So Abraham placed the wood for the burnt offering on Isaac’s shoulders, while he himself carried the fire and the knife. As the two of them walked on together, Isaac turned to Abraham and said, “Father?”

“Yes, my son?” Abraham replied.

“We have the fire and the wood,” the boy said, “but where is the sheep for the burnt offering?”

“God will provide a sheep for the burnt offering, my son,” Abraham answered. And they both walked on together.

When they arrived at the place where God had told him to go, Abraham built an altar and arranged the wood on it. Then he tied his son, Isaac, and laid him on the altar on top of the wood. And Abraham picked up the knife to kill his son as a sacrifice. At that moment the angel of the Lord called to him from heaven, “Abraham! Abraham!”

“Yes,” Abraham replied. “Here I am!”

“Don’t lay a hand on the boy!” the angel said. “Do not hurt him in any way, for now I know that you truly fear God. You have not withheld from me even your son, your only son.”

Then Abraham looked up and saw a ram caught by its horns in a thicket. So he took the ram and sacrificed it as a burnt offering in place of his son. Abraham named the place Yahweh-Yireh (which means “the Lord will provide”). To this day, people still use that name as a proverb: “On the mountain of the Lord it will be provided.” -Genesis 22:1-14

It was by faith that Abraham offered Isaac as a sacrifice when God was testing him. Abraham, who had received God’s promises, was ready to sacrifice his only son, Isaac, even though God had told him, “Isaac is the son through whom your descendants will be counted.” Abraham reasoned that if Isaac died, God was able to bring him back to life again. And in a sense, Abraham did receive his son back from the dead. - Hebrews 11:17-19

And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all He has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind He will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship Him. -Romans 12:1

UNFINISHED BELIEF... study

SCRIPTURE

FAITH shows the reality of what we HOPE for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see. - Hebrews 11:1

Then the men got up from their meal and looked out toward Sodom. As they left, Abraham went with them to send them on their way.

“Should I hide My plan from Abraham?” the Lord asked. “For Abraham will certainly become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth will be blessed through him. I have singled him out so that he will direct his sons and their families to keep the way of the Lord by doing what is right and just. Then I will do for Abraham all that I have promised.”

So the Lord told Abraham, “I have heard a great outcry from Sodom and Gomorrah, because their sin is so flagrant. I am going down to see if their actions are as wicked as I have heard. If not, I want to know.”

The other men turned and headed toward Sodom, but the Lord remained with Abraham. Abraham approached Him and said, “Will you sweep away both the righteous and the wicked? Suppose You find fifty righteous people living there in the city—will You still sweep it away and not spare it for their sakes? Surely You wouldn’t do such a thing, destroying the righteous along with the wicked. Why, You would be treating the righteous and the wicked exactly the same! Surely You wouldn’t do that! Should not the Judge of all the earth do what is right?”

And the Lord replied, “If I find fifty righteous people in Sodom, I will spare the entire city for their sake.”

Then Abraham spoke again. “Since I have begun, let me speak further to my Lord, even though I am but dust and ashes. Suppose there are only forty-five righteous people rather than fifty? Will You destroy the whole city for lack of five?”

And the Lord said, “I will not destroy it if I find forty-five righteous people there.”

Then Abraham pressed his request further. “Suppose there are only forty?”

And the Lord replied, “I will not destroy it for the sake of the forty.”

“Please don’t be angry, my Lord,” Abraham pleaded. “Let me speak—suppose only thirty righteous people are found?”

And the Lord replied, “I will not destroy it if I find thirty.”

Then Abraham said, “Since I have dared to speak to the Lord, let me continue— suppose there are only twenty?”

And the Lord replied, “Then I will not destroy it for the sake of the twenty.”

Finally, Abraham said, “Lord, please don’t be angry with me if I speak one more time. Suppose only ten are found there?”

And the Lord replied, “Then I will not destroy it for the sake of the ten.”

When the Lord had finished His conversation with Abraham, He went on His way, and Abraham returned to his tent. - Genesis 16:33

But you will receive power when the HOLY SPIRIT comes upon you. And you will be My witnesses, telling people about Me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” - Acts 1:8

They all met together and were constantly united in prayer, along with Mary the mother of Jesus, several other women, and the brothers of Jesus. - Acts 1:14

UNFINISHED COMMITMENT... study

SCRIPTURE

FAITH shows the reality of what we HOPE for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.

- Hebrews 11:1

It was by FAITH that Abraham obeyed when God called him to leave home and go to another land that God would give him as his inheritance. He went without knowing where he was going. And even when he reached the land God promised him, he lived there by FAITH —for he was like a foreigner, living in tents. And so did Isaac and Jacob, who inherited the same promise. Abraham was confidently looking forward to a city with eternal foundations, a city designed and built by God.

It was by FAITH that even Sarah was able to have a child, though she was barren and was too old. She believed that God would keep His promise. And so a whole nation came from this one man who was as good as dead—a nation with so many people that, like the stars in the sky and the sand on the seashore, there is no way to count them.

All these people died still believing what God had promised them. They did not receive what was promised, but they saw it all from a distance and welcomed it. They agreed that they were foreigners and nomads here on earth. Obviously people who say such things are looking forward to a country they can call their own. If they had longed for the country they came from, they could have gone back. But they were looking for a better place, a heavenly homeland. That is why God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them.

- Hebrews 11:8-16

For we live by BELIEVING and not by seeing.

- 2 Corinthians 5:7

No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and LOOKING FORWARD to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.

- Philippians 3:13-14
