Find a Hidden Gem in North Palm Beach: Pizza Bella

T

ucked away in The Oak Tree Plaza across from Publix in North Palm Beach is a special gem of a restaurant just waiting for you to discover and appreciate it — Pizza Bella. You always hear people talking about how the little “hole in the wall” spots end up having the best food, and in this case, the saying actually rings true… Pizza Bella has some really wonderful food, and you should definitely give it a try!

and thick slices of creamy mozzarella, then drizzled with a bit of olive oil. This meal was my absolute favorite of everything that we tried at Pizza Bella! It’s something different from the usual parmigiana sandwiches you always find at Italian restaurants, which I really appreciated. Plus, it tasted amazing! Abby and I both were especially impressed with the moist, succulent chicken and how it basically melted in our mouths.

If you only have time for a quick bite, then Pizza Bella is great because it offers quick and convenient counter service for you to easily order some slices of pizza or a tasty sandwich. Or, if you have more time to stay and eat your meal, then the restaurant has a few tables both inside and outside for you to sit, relax, and enjoy. Don’t want to leave the house? No problem — Pizza Bella also offers impressively fast and ALWAYS FREE delivery! You can even order it online (orderpizzabella.com)!

Pizza Bella’s regulars often order the Margherita pizza, so Abby and I decided we had to try it. We selected the small size (12” for $17.99), which was still large enough to share between the two of us. Featuring thick mozzarella, bright and juicy tomatoes, plenty of parmesan, fresh basil, and a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil, the sauceless Margherita pizza was not super heavy and didn’t leave us feeling bloated, but it was still incredibly filling, as it was loaded with ingredients. The crust held up well despite the weight of all of the toppings, and the omission of the sauce allowed the saltiness of the cheese and freshness of the tomatoes, basil, and made-freshdaily pizza dough to really shine. Even more impressive was the fact that the pizza was not at all greasy or soggy even though it included plenty of mozzarella! “This is a pizza,” Abby concluded, “that you drive out of the way for. It’s my favorite of the day.”

Abby and I started off with the antipasto salad ($9.99), which included crisp green lettuce, slices of bright red tomatoes, refreshing slices of cucumber, tender hard boiled egg, sliced black olives, and sizable pinwheels of high-quality ham, provolone cheese, and salami, all finished with a nice sprinkle of parmesan cheese. This salad really checks every box, and it’s a generous portion, so if you’re looking for a healthy, satisfying lunch or dinner, it’s a great choice. Next, Abby and I sampled the grilled chicken special sandwich ($9.99). Tender, juicy, and well-seasoned grilled chicken is stuffed in a soft hoagie roll with sweet roasted red peppers, fresh basil,

Next, we tried a large square of lasagna ($14.99) and a huge plate of chicken francaise ($17.99). Every entrée, including these two, comes with a side salad and some of Pizza Bella’s incredibly soft, pillowy, and buttery garlic rolls (which melt deliciously in your mouth). So, you get a great value when you grab lunch or dinner there!
