Tucked away in The Oak Tree Plaza across from Publix in North Palm Beach is a special gem of a restaurant just waiting for you to discover and appreciate it — Pizza Bella. You always hear people talking about how the little “hole in the wall” spots end up having the best food, and in this case, the saying actually rings true… Pizza Bella has some really wonderful food, and you should de nitely give it a try!

Abby and I started off with the antipasto salad ($9.99), which included crisp green lettuce, slices of bright red tomatoes, refreshing slices of cucumber, tender hard boiled egg, sliced black olives, and sizable pinwheels of high-quality ham, provolone cheese, and salami, all nished with a nice sprinkle of parmesan cheese. This salad really checks every box, and it’s a generous portion, so if you’re looking for a healthy, satisfying lunch or dinner, it’s a great choice.
Next, Abby and I sampled the grilled chicken special sandwich ($9.99). Tender, juicy, and well-seasoned grilled chicken is stuffed in a soft hoagie roll with sweet roasted red peppers, fresh basil, and thick slices of creamy mozzarella, then drizzled with a bit of olive oil. This meal was my absolute favorite of everything that we tried at Pizza Bella! It’s something different from the usual parmigiana sandwiches you always nd at Italian restaurants, which I really appreciated. Plus, it tasted amazing! Abby and I both were especially impressed with the moist, succulent chicken and how it basically melted in our mouths.
Pizza Bella’s regulars often order the Margherita pizza, so Abby and I decided we had to try it. We selected the small size (12” for $17.99), which was still large enough to share between the two of us. Featuring thick mozzarella, bright and juicy tomatoes, plenty of parmesan, fresh basil, and a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil, the sauceless Margherita pizza was not super heavy and didn’t leave us feeling bloated, but it was still incredibly lling, as it was loaded with ingredients. The crust held up well despite the weight of all of the toppings, and the omission of the sauce allowed the saltiness of the cheese and freshness of the tomatoes, basil, and made-freshdaily pizza dough to really shine. Even more impressive was the fact that the pizza was not at all greasy or soggy even though it included plenty of mozzarella! “This is a pizza,” Abby concluded, “that you drive out of the way for. It’s my favorite of the day.”
Next, we tried a large square of lasagna ($14.99) and a huge plate of chicken francaise ($17.99). Every entrée, including these two, comes with a side salad and some of Pizza Bella’s incredibly soft, pillowy, and buttery garlic rolls (which melt deliciously in your mouth). So, you get a great value when you grab lunch or dinner there!

DiningOut with Gabby & Abby Review by Gabby Gregory

The lasagna is a traditional rendition, with three layers of pasta stuffed with creamy ricotta, tender ground beef, rich Romano cheese, and savory marinara sauce covered with melted mozzarella cheese on top. It’s served in a deep dish, so it didn’t look like there was much of it until we actually cut into it. Once we actually dipped our forks into it, we realized that the thick square of lasagna was brimming with meat and cheese! One bite is full of avor, with a nice burst of robust tomato, and is enough to make you want to nish the entire plate.
Once again we were oored by the quality of Pizza Bella’s chicken when we tried the francaise! It was extraordinarily tender and juicy, just as it was in the sandwich. When the kindly owner of the restaurant, Mike Milenkov, heard Abby and me raving about it, he explained to us that the reason it’s so good is because he only uses fresh, never frozen, chicken. That decision de nitely makes a remarkable difference!
For dessert, Abby and I shared tiramisu ($5.99), chocolate cake ($5.99), and a cannoli ($4.99). Abby absolutely adored the tiramisu, which happens to be her favorite dessert, so she can be picky about it! She exclaimed, “I could eat a whole pan of Pizza Bella’s tiramisu and feel no shame, it’s so good!” We soon learned that other locals feel the same about it, as Mike explained that he often has customers come in just to order that dessert! The lady ngers are “soaked to perfection, without being mushy or soggy,” said Abby, and the cream is smooth, creamy, and ultra refreshing to your tastebuds.
The chocolate cake, on the other hand, is a decadent dive into deep, dark, and sweet avors — perfect for chocoholics. A thick, 3-layer cake, it is loaded with luxurious fudge and topped with tons of gorgeous chocolate shavings. If you’re having a bad day, then go to Pizza Bella and grab a slice of it… you’ll feel better instantly! As much as I loved the chocolate cake, I have to say that my favorite dessert was the cannoli. The shell was perfectly crunchy, meaning that Pizza Bella freshly lled it with the luscious, smooth, sweet cream instead of having it sit for who knows how long in a fridge. That small but important detail can make or break the classic Italian treat, so it’s clear that Pizza Bella pays attention to the little things. Bravo! For delicious dine in, take out, or delivery service, look no further than Pizza Bella. Don’t let its small, tucked away location deceive you… the restaurant is a hidden gem in North Palm Beach!
