to the second edition of our newsletter providing news on the Staycity Hotel project on Newhall Street. Staycity will be a five-storey 170 bed apart-hotel with additional car parking spaces on the ground floor, and a vehicle and pedestrian entrance/exit off Charlotte Street. The project duration is 54 weeks and it is due for completion in April 2015. GB Building Solutions will endeavour to be as quiet and unobtrusive as the construction works allow. We will also aim to keep to the site working hours of 08:00 to 18:00 hours weekdays and 08:00 to 13:00 hours on Saturdays. There may be some activities which require work to be undertaken outside of these planned hours. In these Instances we will firstly seek permission from Birmingham City Council's Environmental Health Department and then ensure that all local residents and businesses are advised in advance of works
Progress Report Our works are now well underway. The following activities have been undertaken during the last month: Preparation works for the site access road and compound area, which are now complete Excess waste material has been removed from site by lorries The CFA piling rig has been delivered and piling works are now complete with all piling arisings removed from site The existing sub-station has been fully removed Pile cropping and pile cap construction has commenced and is well underway
