There is high prevalence of sexual and reproductive health needs in adolescents with HIV, as statistics from Nigeria show that large numbers of adolescents aged 15-19 years in high sexual risk behaviour. This study compares various factors in mobile outreach service centers and health care facilities that impact the use of the HIV and sexual reproductive health services by adolescents and young people (AYP) within the capital city of Nigeria (Abuja). Service providers were provided with a checklist to help capture key information during their interaction with their AYP clients. The percentage of AYPs was significantly higher with 88% coming from the community. 19% voluntarily made enquires for Sexual and reproductive health (SRH) related information and 40% accepted the offer of SRH counselling. Hospitals were seen to not providing approachable environments for AYPs to encourage voluntary uptakes, which was an area of concern.
