Professional Skillshop The Professional Skillshop is a one-day portfolio building and networking event for creatives who are already working in industry or finished a higher education training in their specific field.

Become part of the Creative Skillshop community together with professional photographers, fashion stylists, models, hair and makeup artists. The creative teams on the day will work to complete a commercial beauty and campaign shoot for portfolio use. This is a chance for Videographers to upgrade their existing portfolios with fashion shoot, behind the scenes and interview imagery as upg well as network with the right people.

Videographers will be mentored throughout the day by experienced industry professionals and offered invaluable industry tips and tricks. The fast paced environment challenges the creative process with teams working to tight deadlines to achieve the desired final look.

Videographers will: • Learn aspects and functionality of the camera to better deal with challenges in fashion.

• Learn techniques to conduct an interview quickly and professionally.

• Learn a range of techniques and tips to achieve an acceptable industry standard production.

• Learn and become familiar with the etiquette expected of them during BTS, interviews and runway.

• Learn what it takes to be part of and successfully communicate with a creative team.

• Learn to quickly adjust camera settings for multiple lighting environments, • Collaborate with others in their professional field to produce a shoot plan.

• Understand and adhere to time constraints while being environment aware.

• Learn to shoot with the final product in mind to reduce the editing if deadline is tight.

• Videographers will receive a 2-minute show reel, 10 retouched portfolio images and 5 behind the scenes images.
