The most frequently visited area of Iceland is without a doubt the south coast. With good reason, it’s where the contrasts of the Icelandic landscape are the clearest. Verdant valleys meet jet black deserts, icy glaciers are streaked with black ash from fiery volcanic eruptions and jagged cliffs drop dramatically to the plains below. The Golden Circle, the waterfalls Skógafoss and Seljalandsfoss, and the Jökulsárlón glacial lagoon are not to be missed!
