Anderson Count Schools Preschool Gets Fitted for Helmets On March 3rd, 55 students at Anderson County Schools’ Preschool were fitted for and received a helmet from the Epilepsy Foundation of East Tennessee. One of the the most common causes of epilepsy is a head injury. Paula Ellis, education coordinator for the foundation, said they give out over 36,000 helmets a year. Thank you Epilepsy Foundation of East TN for helping keep our students safe!

Mr. Coffin Speaks to Clinch River Community School On February 28th, Clinch River Community School welcomed Ronald Coffin. Mr. Coffin was one of the first four students to be desegregated in the Maryville community. He attended Maryville High School in 1963. Mr. Coffin spoke to the students about his time at Maryville High School and his service to our country during the Vietnam War. Mr. Coffin also spent many years as counselor to veterans who suffered with PTSD.
