About .Melvia Agbeko is a licensed Naturopathic doctor (ND) in Toronto and a graduate of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM). She received a degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Alberta and is currently in a 2-year clinic Residency at CCNM. In this role, she supervises 4th year students at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic and Sherbourne Community Health Centre. In private practice, Dr. Agbeko treats patients in all stages of health and has treated patients with chronic endocrine, hormonal and gastrointestinal concerns. Specifically, she has had success with female reproductive health concerns, Irritable/Inflammatory bowel diseases, thyroid/other metabolic concerns, to name a few. She uses a combination of Traditional Chinese medicine including Acupuncture; Botanical medicine, Homeopathy, nutrition, and dietary/lifestyle counselling. Dr. Agbeko aims to empower and support her patients, because she believes that providing safe and effective care ought to be comprehensive yet, individualized and holistic. She has a special interest in Mind-Body medicine and Mindfulness based strategies which help her patients achieve wellness on all levels.
