The down-fired design of the heat exchanger means the combustion gases are counter-flow in relation to the flow of water.

Texas heat exchangers come in three output sizes, 120 kW (399 MBTU/h), 230 kW (800 MBTU/h) and 290 kW (1000 MBTU/h). They can be used as water heaters and as condensing boilers alike, and boast an efficiency of up to 97%.

The stainless steel distributor is the key to the proper distribution of the boiler water over the coil tubes to give peak heat transfer as the hot water cascades through the coils, providing greater turbulence as reaches the bottom distributor plate.

The new generation Rex water heaters are engineered for high heating efficiency. Rex heaters use the boiler to heat domestic water instantly upon demand. As the boiler water enters the tank (not the coils) it is stored, ready for a domestic water call.

The 4 models with a capacity from 150 to 435 l (40–115 gal) cover most domestic and commercial applications.

The Rex heater also acts as a buffer tank to eliminate boiler short cycling. The boiler water is circulated through the heater in a closed-loop system extending boiler life.

Rex heaters last longer as a result of soft heat transfer of boiler water rather than direct flame type transfer used in conventional heaters.

Coilex is stainless steel water tank that are designed to be applied in heating systems with solar panels, and tanks combined with central boilers, heating pomps solar panels.

The conical-shaped heating coil ensures highly efficient heat transfer and reduces the risk of limescale deposits on the coil surface. As a result of pressure changes, the coil vibrates, which causes scale particles to be thrown from its surface, thanks to which the efficiency of heat reception is not lost.

AIC’s new condensing heat exchanger provides an ideal foundation to build energyefficient, compact in size, instantaneous water heater. Engineered to ensure durability, flawless performance and highest efficiency rates.

Designed to optimize efficiency and performance, the Willow heat exchanger is perfectly suited for all residential and light commercial applications.

Condensing water heaters are highefficiency cousins of traditional water heaters. They save energy and can save

money as well. Instead of sending hot exhaust gases out the flue, the gas burner blows them through the fire tubes at the bottom of the tank. Incoming cold water flows around the tubes and collects most of the heat. The increased efficiency of the condensing water heater usually offsets any potential “standby” losses.

Created by the AIC engineering team, assisted by advanced CFD thermal modeling and analysis, the Willow heat exchanger is a blend of practicality and simplicity of construction. Fabricated from a reduced number of parts, the Willow is built to last.

External casing made of top and bottom shells is joined by just one weld ensuring higher construction safety. The plastic condense drain dish is fitted to the shell with simple holding clamps. Burner assembly requires no refractory. These features make the fabrication process less complex and more cost-effective.

The water heater’s key elements are hidden inside. The innovative baffling system provides uniform water 31

distribution, and a constant water volume of almost 7 l (2 gal) prevents the “cold sandwich” effect. Due to no upper tube sheet, the water boiling issue was eliminated and scaling reduced to a minimum.

The end users can enjoy a nearly constant supply of hot water with no sudden drop in hot water temperature as the tank heats up almost as quickly as it is filled.
