Alexander Lotersztain Waterscape

It is regrettable to have an ocean-front property and yet not take full advantage of it. In order to solve this problem, Australian designer Alexander Lotersztain has designed this modular platform that can be adapted to any situation. The metre-long modular pontoons can be arranged to form different shapes. The aim is to use it for both domestic and commercial customers. Waterscape can therefore be used as a terrace, dock, heliport or even a dance floor. Many accessories are therefore provided with this pontoon: seats, umbrellas, coolers, electrical generators, ladders and even mooring cleats. All of these easy clip-on accessories are made of a metal alloy and weather-resistant plastic, moulded in aluminium. The buoyancy level can be adjusted to retain stability despite the movement of the water. In addition, translucent fenders prevent jolting when a boat is moored there. As evening falls, the Waterscape can be lit-up with optional LED lamps. The lighting can be adjusted and controlled with by remote control. This lighting function means that Waterscape can also serve as a beacon, like a personal lighthouse. Designed by Alexander Lotersztain for the Superior Group, Waterscape has quickly beaten a path to the Good Design Awards. Its price and its launch date have yet to be revealed.
