THE UNIVERSITY OF MIAMI ATHLETICS STEWARDSHIP PROGRAM HAS FACED CHALLENGES THIS CAMPAIGN PARTICULARLY IN MEETING THE DELIVERY TIMELINES AND MAXIMIZING ITS EFFECTIVENESS. BASED ON THESE CONCERNS, WE PROPOSE SEVERAL ACTIONABLE STRATEGIES AND SOLUTIONS TO ADDRESS THESE CHALLENGES AND IMPROVE PROGRAM OUTCOMES. WE REALIZE DIRECT COMMUNICATION MUST BE INCREASED


STEP 1: ENHANCE PROGRAM PLANNING AND EXECUTION

• ADOPT A STANDARDIZED PROJECT MANAGEMENT METHODOLOGY, SUCH AS AGILE OR SCRUM , TO BETTER ORGANIZE AND ALLOCATE AVAILABLE RESOURCES AND TO TRACK PROGRESS.
• THIS WILL ENABLE THE ESTABLISHMENT OF CLEAR PROJECT MILESTONES AND ALLOW ANY DEVIATIONS TO BE QUICKLY RECOGNIZED AND ADDRESSED.
• INCORPORATE A COMPREHENSIVE AUDIT OF PREVIOUSLY ENCOUNTERED BOTTLENECKS AND CHALLENGES THAT CONTRIBUTED TO DELAYS, AND DEVELOP DETAILED CONTINGENCY PLANS TO AVOID OR SWIFTLY RESOLVE SIMILAR ISSUES.
• FOR INSTANCE, ALIGNING PROJECT EFFORTS WITH CRUCIAL SPORTING EVENTS TO AVOID DELIVERY TIMING ISSUES WILL SIGNIFICANTLY STRENGTHEN THE PROGRAM 'S OVERALL IMPACT.
STEP 3: IMPROVE STAKEHOLDER COMMUNICATION AND INVOLVEMENT
• ESTABLISH A CONSISTENT AND EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION PLAN TO ENSURE THAT ALL STAKEHOLDERS, INCLUDING DESIGNATED REPRESENTATIVES, ARE WELL-INFORMED AND ENGAGED WITH THE ENTIRE PROCESS.
• SCHEDULE REGULAR PROGRESS MEETINGS OR CALLS WITH STAKEHOLDERS, ENABLING TRANSPARENCY, ACCOUNTABILITY, AND THE TIMELY COMMUNICATION OF ANY NECESSARY UPDATES.

• SEEK OUT OPPORTUNITIES FOR STAKEHOLDER INFLUENCE, ALLOWING REPRESENTATIVES TO HAVE A SAY IN THE STRATEGIC DIRECTION OF THE PROGRAM, WHILE ALSO ENCOURAGING A SENSE OF OWNERSHIP AND SHARED SUCCESSES.
