Mission: To enhance the livesof those it serves by meeting the comprehensive needsof individuals, families, and the community through a partnership of programs that provide accessible education, health and human services of the highest quality.

Withthegenerous support of MVYouth,MV Community Serviceslaunched aPilot Programtofunda capital project that supportedthelicensureof onenew Family Child Care(FCC) programinour community FCCprogramsareacritical part of theearly education andcaresystem,servingchildrenbetweentheagesof 0 - 5,insmall groups appropriatefor their development,inneighborhoodswherefamilieslive Our Pilot Project createdsix new slotsfor workingfamiliesinneed of early educationand carefor their youngchildren

Buildingonthesuccessof our Pilot Project,wewill roll out theFamily ChildCare Capital NeedsProject in2023! Over thenext fiveyears,our goal istolicensenine additional programs,creating54 new slots Theavailability of high-quality early educationand careoptionswill haveastabilizingeffect onchildrenandfamiliesin our community andsupport employersinachievingandmaintainingadequate staffinglevels.A 2019 report by consultant Sally SharpeLehman identifieda critical needtoincreaseaccessto high-quality,affordableearly educationand careontheIsland Werecognizethat wemust developnew andinnovative approachestoaddresstheunmet demand

Island Autism Center Award: $250,000

Mission: To strive for the lifelong independence, confidence, and happinessof autistic individualsand their familieson Martha?sVineyard, through housing, life skills, enrichment, job training, and therapies.

TheIsland AutismGroup(IAG),isawell-establishednon-profit that servesautistic childrenand their familiesonMartha?sVineyard.Sinceitsinception,IAGhashelped autisticchildrenontheislandaccessextracurricular programs,equipment andany other resourcesnecessary and beneficial for their development IAGhasdevelopeda visionof anIslandAutismCenter,aplaceonMartha?sVineyardwherechildrenand adultswithautismcan livelifetotheir fullest potential Thisambitiousplanwill offer housingandprograms,including:

- A Hub Housetoserveasabasefor day programming,offices,commercial kitchen,library,mediaroom,gatheringspace,and livingspacefor interns and guest lecturers

- Fiveresidential unitswhichwill house12-18 residents

- A microfarmtoprovideopportunitiesfor physical skill development and to promotehealthy eating.

- Therapeuticand enrichment programstailoredto theindividual needsof residentsandprogramparticipants

Mission: To meet and support children?sunfolding capacities and awakening interests Through a nature and play-based curriculum, we support the intellectual, emotional, physical and spiritual growth of each child We are committed to the ideals and educational philosophy set forth by Rudolf Steiner, founder of Waldorf education.

Our new nursery programisthriving. VINEYARD MONTESSORI SCHOOL

Toddler & Preschool Community Expansion Project Award:

Mission: Vineyard Montessori School offerschildren an equitable and joyful environment, to foster a lifetime love of learning while partnering with familiesand collaborating with the community

TheVineyardMontessori School (VMS)toddler classroomshavebeenfull sincethe doorsopened intheFall of 2021 Thetwoclassroomsoffer 18 childrenbetweenthe agesof 15 monthsand3 yearsoldanincredibly richexperienceandworkingfamiliesa safeandwonderful placement for their children. Our dataindicatesthat thisaddition hasmadeadifferenceandisincredibly successful Thesuccesscanbemeasuredin,not only,itsability to stay fully enrolledwith18 childrendaily,but inadditionit is "feeding" thepreschool classrooms,whicharecurrently full for the2023-2024 school year. Inaddition,wewereabletoincreasethenumber of spacesinour preschool classroomto19 VMSiscurrently thelargest early childhoodprogramontheisland with77 childcarespaces Thishasmadeadifferenceinour community,and weare thankful for therolethat MVYouthplayed insupportingthisexpansion Wearenow lookingtothefuture! VMSisactively pursuinggrant fundingspecifically designated for theVMSStrongStart scholarship TheStrongStart ScholarshipFund providesfinancial assistanceto workingfamilies,enrolledinour Toddler and Preschool classrooms,that couldnot otherwiseaffordthecost of childcare. CAMP JABBERWOCKY

Mission: To provide a residential vacation camp for people with disabilitieswhile providing respite for camper's caregivers. We provide recreation and enrich the livesof our campersby creating a supportive environment that promotes the fulfillment of human potential and fosters independence and self-determination; we strive to be a community that is an example of inclusivity, love, and mutuality

CAMPJABBERWOCKYISBACK! After several summersof limited?live? programmingbecauseof COVID,wehad anearly normal returntoCampactivitiesin 2022 It wasasummer of fun,friendships,beach-going,drumming,artsandcrafts, dancing,goats,llamas,sailing,fishing,boating,icecream,Sharksbaseball,music, writing,bi-planes,archery,talent shows,picnics,cook-outs,andjoy for our 140 campers,including17 new campers! A small,early outbreak forcedsomelast-minute re-shuffling(evenvaccinated,our campersareuniquely vulnerableto COVID),but we werehappy towelcomecampersoldand new Our Jabberwebbyvirtual programs alsocontinued for thosewho couldnot attend inperson

Becausewewereabletowinterizemorecabinsduringthepandemic,Family Camp wasalsoback Webrought together 65 peoplein19 familiesover twoweekendsin lateAugust and September. Our waitinglistsarelong(664 for summer campand256 for Family Camp),sowewereexcitedtobeableto invitefivenew familiesthisyear
