As we look ahead to the 2025–26 school year, we celebrate God’s faithfulness and the exciting opportunities before us. The Academy remains united, deeply rooted in Christ, and driven by purpose. With renewed vision and clarity, we continue to move boldly, committed to Impact the World for Christ.
In 1 Corinthians, the Apostle Paul reminds the early church that spiritual growth, and any form of Kingdom expansion, is not accomplished by human e ort alone. He writes,
We believe the same is true for MVCA. While we partner with families to faithfully plant and water through excellent academics, intentional discipleship, and strong partnerships, it is God who is growing the Academy.
The increase we are experiencing is not about becoming bigger. It is about being obedient. As long as He gives the increase, we will continue to steward it faithfully.
We are blessed with a highly qualified and deeply committed team that will be more than 200 individuals. Each one is called by God to serve as a spiritual mentor and then equipped to lead what is being projected to be over 1,150 students with excellence. Our strong partnership with nearly 700 families is marked by prayer, trust, and a shared heart for Christian education. The Body of Christ is beautifully reflected in our student body, representing 180 Christian churches across the Tri-State area. The total estimated impact of the Academy, including nearly 1,150 students, 1,500 parents, 3,000 grandparents, and 200 team members, potentially reaches approximately 6,000 individuals each year.
In a world that often tries to stop the advancement of God’s work, let us not forget the important role we are called to in our partnership at one of God’s schools, Miami Valley Christian Academy. We are called to pray that every attempt the enemy makes to divide and destroy would fall quickly and never take root. The tempter has always sought to attack Christ-centered organizations, but through God’s protection, your prayers, and being Bold As A Lion, the Academy stands firm on a solid foundation as we prepare to celebrate our 30th year in the 2025–26 school year.
Bold As A Lion,
Dr. Greg Beasley Superintendent
Commitment to Stewardship Accountability and
At MVCA,we recognize that systems of accountability and stewardship are essential, especially for a Christ-centered, non-profit organization entrusted with the care and development of children. To uphold the highest standards of integrity, e ciency, and trust, the Academy engages in multiple layers of oversight. These include monthly external financial reviews and reconciliations, annual third-party financial audits, annual health and safety inspections, threat assessment surveys, compliance reviews from the Ohio Department of Education, and formal accreditation evaluations. Most recently, MVCA welcomed a visiting team from the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), composed of leaders from other Christian schools. We are proud to celebrate their findings, which a rmed our mission, culture, operations, and commitment to excellence in Christian education.
“Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful.”

A LEGACY FOR GENERATIONS
by Dr. Greg Beasley, Superintendent
“One generation shall commend your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts.”
PSALM 145:4
We are deeply thankful for every supporter of MVCA! Your prayers, encouragement and partnership help us impact the daily lives of every student in every classroom across the Academy. Your faithful investment is a testimony of God‘s provision, and it allows us to continue building a strong foundation for generations to come.
This year we will begin to focus on closing the gap for our most important initiative yet: The MVCA Expansion Project—Called to Grow, Committed to Impact. As you may know, MVCA is one of the fastest growing Christian schools in the state and is now among the three largest preschool through twelfth grade Christian schools in Ohio.
This initiative will make room for approximately 700 more students to experience a Christ centered education.
The heart of this campaign is rooted in the truth that children need a Christ-centered education now more than ever. The Academy had to turn away more than 100 students this year. We believe that investing in this generation is critical for the future of our families, churches, and communities. At the same time, we remain committed to a ordability, and MVCA continues to be one of the most a ordable Christian schools in Cincinnati.
2 gymnasiums, including a large competition gym
27 classrooms for 500 students Grass multipurpose field
Music room and locker rooms
We need your prayers and your partnership. Your best gift at this time will help ensure that this vision becomes reality. This is a legacy that will not only bless your children today will also bless their children and generations of Christian students to come. One thing is for certain, whoever wants the next generation the most, is going to get them. It’s our time to roar like lions and claim our territory for Christ.
“A good person leaves an inheritanc to their children’s children.” PROVERBS 13:22
We would be honored to meet with you to share more details or to talk about your legacy gift.
Please contact the Donor Engagement Team through the Superintendent’s O ce at superintendent@mvca-oh.com or the Advancement O ce at advancement@mvca-oh.com.
One grandparents has already committed $100,000 and some of you may be able to do the same or more. We are asking for your obedience and getting to what amount God is laying on your heart for this significant need.
We are excited to see how God will use each of us to channel resources to accomplish this goal and advance His Kingdom through MVCA.

Little Lions Preschool is not just about learning the alphabet and numbers; we are about nurturing spiritual seeds in young hearts. Imagine a classroom where bible stories for preschoolers are not just told but lived, and Christian preschool songs are not just sung but felt. This is the essence of MVCA.
mvca preschool chapel
Preschool chapel was implemented in 2023. This weekly chapel includes a time of worship where children can sing, dance, and praise Jesus. Various themed Chapels are also o ered and include Family Worship, Grandparents Chapel, and Cosmic Glow-in-the-Dark Worship.
“Thank you for setting up Cosmic Glow in the Dark Worship today. I know chapel was meant for the students, but it was such a blessing for me to stop working today and focus on Jesus. It was an impactful reminder.
- MVCA preschool parent
It is our goal to provide each child with a happy, healthy, safe, and stimulating Christian learning environment. We love to bring in outside groups to meet with our students. Quality early education sets the foundation for a child’s future academic and personal success, and as MVCA and outside organizations work together to create a supportive and e ective program, our students can be exposed to positive learning environments that nurture their growth and development. Some of those groups that provided engaging, hands-on learning are listed below:
•Wave Foundation at the Newport Aquarium
•Anderson Township Fire Department
•Newtown Police Department
•911 Cincinnati Emergency Communications Center
•Cincinnati Zoo
partnering with outside organizations
At MVCA, service opportunities allow our students to reflect Christ’s love in tangible ways—both within our community and to those in need. This year, our students became the hands and feet of Jesus through several impactful projects.
One outreach e ort was our stu ed animal toy drive. Partnering with the Anderson Township Fire Department and the Newtown Police Department, our students collected and tagged stu ed animals with prayer notes for children facing di cult circumstances. First responders now carry these stu ed animals to o er comfort at emergency scenes. In a powerful full-circle moment, one of our own Little Lions received one of these very toys during a medical emergency, and his mother shared how much peace and comfort it brought to her son.
Serving Others, Sharing Christ’s Love
Our youngest learners also played a special role. Our 3-year-old preschoolers assembled Blessing Bags for the homeless, thoughtfully filled with toiletries and a prayer card. Their teamwork and care turned compassion into action.
On MVCA Advance Day 2025, preschoolers once again served with joy by creating goody bags and thank-you cards for all 141 MVCA sta members. With the help of our 8th grade students, the bags were delivered across campus, spreading appreciation and encouragement.
When children engage in service, they form connections with their community—building empathy, resilience, and a deeper understanding of the world around them. At MVCA, these experiences are not just acts of kindness—they are acts of faith in motion.
family friendly events
Families are central to God's design and play a vital role at MVCA. Events throughout the school year are created to help foster family involvement and reinforce emotional and social support for MVCA students and families.
We kick o the school year by o ering a Back-to-School preschool party with inflatables, food, and games. All our families get a chance to meet fellow preschool families and their child’s new teacher.
Every year we host a Grandparents Night in which each preschooler gets to invite their grandparents to join them in their pajamas for cookies, milk, and bedtime stories.
Our annual trip to Burger Farm is a hit each year as students and families get to pick out a pumpkin, go on a hayride, enjoy a puppet show, and explore several fall fun activities. Pastries with Parents, our annual preschool event that allows our families to spend time with their little ones enjoying breakfast together before the school day starts.
parent volunteers
At MVCA, parent involvement is vital in shaping a child’s education and spiritual growth. We had over 132 preschool parent volunteers this year. We see it as a partnership between families and our school. Parents volunteered for class parties, mystery readers, decorating for recital and graduation ceremonies, Pastries with Parents, Blessing Bags, PreK Tea Party, and our stu ed animal toy drive.
“Our Little Lions light up with joy when the 'Big Kids' from the Upper School show their Lion Love— whether it's walking them in from carpool or coming over to read stories. These special moments mean the world to them!”
Bridging the Gap Between Preschool and Lower School
A child’s transition between PreK and Kindergarten can seem like a big step. We ensure our preschoolers have a smooth transition as we work alongside the Lower School. Our PreK students visit the kindergarten classrooms several times throughout the year. They get a chance to sit in and participate with the kindergarten classes. They also take tours of the Lower School to ensure they are familiar with the building and know where they will be eating lunch, having specials, and even get to play on the “big kid” playground. This process helps to build the foundation for academic, behavioral, and social-emotional skills in our PreK students as they transition to kindergarten.
The philosophy of Little Lions Preschool is based upon scripture that tells us “Children are a gift from the Lord. They are a true blessing.” (Psalm 127:3). It’s been an incredible year, and we have been blessed. We are excited about the future of MVCA and look forward to what God has in store for next year!
Mrs. Sharlena Gill
PRESCHOOL DIRECTOR
Mrs. Sharlena Gill
Every Wednesday morning at MVCA, students from sixth to twelfth grade join together to worship God, reflect on His word, and support one another during Upper School Chapel. Last week, I shared with my friend how much I needed the service, and she agreed, saying it reminded her that we're not alone. The worship team's music always helps me shift my focus o my worries and back to God, and one speaker reminded us that "your struggles don't define you; they refine you."
Chapel is more than just a special day of the week.
It's a new chance every week to refocus and face the week with purpose.
MVCA STUDENT
lower school
Chapel in Lower School is one of our favorite days of the week! It is such a joy to end the week in worship and celebration of the gift we have in Jesus. In Lower School chapel we dance, sing praises at the top of our lungs, and dive deep into what the Bible says about living like Jesus. Chapel lessons are driven by both the school’s themes and our Bible curriculums. Every Friday we acknowledge who Jesus is and how we can be more like him through our speech, love, and actions.
Upper School Chapel: Cultivating Faith and Leadership
At Miami Valley Christian Academy, Upper School Chapel is more than a weekly tradition— it’s a dynamic environment where students grow in faith, build confidence, and develop as leaders. Each chapel features student-led praise and worship, o ering young leaders the chance to guide their peers spiritually from the stage. Opportunities to serve in roles such as media, sound, lighting, photography, and video production allow students to contribute behind the scenes, working alongside the Media Director, Worship Coordinator,Spiritual Life Coordinators, Middle School Principal, and High School Principal. Through encouraging messages delivered by students, faculty, and guest speakers, the chapel experience strengthens and equips students to boldly live out their faith. As they take the lead—whether by speaking, singing, or serving—students are empowered to influence others for Christ. It reflects the heart of Proverbs 22:6: “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.”
In 2024-25, MVCA launched a powerful new worship experience called MVCA Worship. This initiative gave students a behind-the-scenes look at how worship music videos are thoughtfully created— from direction and production to final editing. Through this process, many students discovered new talents and gained a deeper appreciation for how worship can be expressed through media. At the end of the video, viewers were invited to receive Christ as their personal Savior as well as a free Bible, creating a meaningful opportunity for spiritual growth and outreach.
Senior Class Mission Trip Guatemala to
This mission trip strengthened my faith and made me bolder as a Christian. This was one of the best and most rewarding things I have ever been a part of, and I cannot wait to go on another mission trip soon. The mission trip sends Seniors out with new mindsets and lessons that can never be taugh in the classroom.
I thank God and MVCA for this fantastic opportunity.
Micah Johnson
MVCA's mission is to equip students to impact the world for Christ, influencing everyone from our youngest to our seniors.
Our Senior class fulfills this mission by traveling to Guatemala on a global servant project. The trip profoundly a ects both our students and the Guatemalans they encounter, promoting cultural and spiritual growth among our seniors. They participated in meaningful services including building ovens, aiding food pantries, and conducting health assessments while emphasizing the ultimate need for salvation through Jesus. This experience deepens their understanding of global community and their commitmen to serve both locally and globally.
FAITH
Participating in MVCA's international mission trip to Guatemala was a transformative experience that left an indelible mark on my heart. This journey transcended mere service; it became a powerful unifying event for our entire class.
Stepping outsidethe familiar confines of our daily lives allowed us to witness firsthand the incredible work God is accomplishing beyond the walls of MVCA, prompting us to reflect on how we can contribute to His mission.
Encountering the living conditions in Guatemala was both humbling and enlightening. Despite facing challenges, the joy and deep sense of community among the people we met were striking. This juxtaposition taught me a profound lesson: the joy of the Lord is not dictated by external circumstances but flows from within the heart. It became clear that if we could shift our focus beyond our own struggles and lives, we would discover that same joy within ourselves and in the lives of others. As it says in Galatians 5:13, "Serve one another humbly in love," reminding us that serving others not only enriches their lives but also deepens our own sense of joy and connection.

roaring readers week
Our Lower School halls buzzed with excitement as students participated in Roaring Readers Week a new tradition to celebrate the joy of reading while pointing hearts toward God's Word.
Throughout the week, students across grade levels teamed up as reading buddies, forming new friendships and sharing favorite stories. The spirit of unity and mentorship was present as older students read alongside younger ones, modeling fluency and encouraging a love for books.
Students learned why reading the Bible is essential to know God’s truth, grow in faith, and live wisely.
One of the week’s most anticipated activities was our Stop, Drop, and Read Day, when the entire Lower School paused throughout the day, to dive into a good book. The spontaneous reading breaks created a sense of fun and anticipation that had students eagerly carrying books everywhere they went.
Each morning, the day began with Teacher Mystery Readers during our Lower School video announcements. The surprise guest teachers captivated students with lively read-alouds, sparking curiosity and laughter before the school day even began.
Our chapels throughout the week reminded students of the deeper purpose behind Roaring Readers Week. Students learned why reading the Bible is essential to know God’s truth, grow in faith, and live wisely.
Early exposure to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) concepts fosters curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills from a young age. It encourages hands-on exploration and experimentation, promoting a deeper understanding of scientific principles and mathematical concepts. STEM education helps cultivate creativity and innovation, preparing students to tackle real-world challenges and adapt to rapid advancements in technology and society.
demand, and adjusting their strategies based on real-time feedback from their peers. It was a lively event that gave students a clear picture of how economics works in everyday life.
4TH GRADE SHARK TANK:BUSINESS CREATION AND INNOVATION
2ND GRADE MARKET: LEARNING THE VALUE OF MONEY
In 2nd grade, students were introduced to the basics of money management through their very own Market Day. After exploring concepts like saving, spending, earning, and giving, students got to become both producers and consumers. They created simple handmade products and "sold" them to classmates using play currency they had earned throughout the unit. This hands-on experience helped them understand the value of money, the importance of work, and the satisfaction of smart spending—all in a fun, engaging setting.
3RD GRADE MARKET: EXPLORING SUPPLY AND DEMAND
In 3rd grade, the focus deepened as students took on Market Day 2.0, this time with a new lens: supply and demand. Through classroom lessons and discussions, students learned how pricing, availability, and consumer interest a ect what we buy and sell. When the big day arrived, they applied these principles by pricing their items, predicting
By 4th grade, our budding entrepreneurs were ready to take things to the next level. Enter Shark Tank Day, anexperience that challenged students to invent a product or service and present it to a panel of “sharks” (their teacher!). They developed business plans, created prototypes or marketing materials, and practiced persuasive speaking as they pitched their ideas. With a focus on business creation, students explored cost analysis, branding, and target markets. The creativity was o the charts—and so was the confidence each student gained from presenting their big ideas.
At MVCA, we are committed to cultivating both academic excellence and spiritual growth in every student. Our engaging learning experiences and vibrant faith-based environment prepare students to flourish in their unique giftedness. MVCA students experience a rich variety of opportunities.
Here are some highlights:
ADVANCED COURSES: We o er a wide range of AP courses and facilitate College Credit Plus (CCP) enrollment, giving students the chance to earn college credit while in high school. With a range of options, students can tailor their learning to fit their goals and interests with the support and guidance of the Academic Advising team.

COLLEGE & CAREER / ACT TEST DAY: MVCA’s annual College & Career / ACT Test Day equips students for life beyond high school. Juniors and seniors choose between taking the ACT on campus or exploring career interests through job shadowing and college visits. Freshmen take the PreACT 8/9 and sophomores take the ACT—both o ered at no cost—giving all students early experience with college entrance exams and a head start on future planning.
LEADERSHIP & ENRICHMENT: Students grow through robust programs, including National Honor Society (NHS), Student Council, and Chapel Team, where they serve the community and develop valuable leadership skills such as event planning, team collaboration, and public speaking. These experiences enrich students’ real-world learning and empower them to put their skills into action.
TRAVEL & CONNECTION: Students learn and serve through both domestic and international trips, and participate in a short-term cultural exchange program, welcoming international students to our campus. Whether in Washington, D.C. learning about our country’s founding or traveling abroad learning more about God’s Kingdom or serving domestically learning to put others above oneself, our students experience meaningful connection both inside and outside the walls of MVCA.
SERVICE IN ACTION: With required service hours and city-wide service days, students are empowered to live out their faith through service.
Andrew Ackland earned a letter of combination from the National Merit Scholarship Program. Of the 1.3 million students who took the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test, Andrew was among the top 50,000 high scorers.
Our high school seniors graduate with an average of 140+ service hours during their high school tenure.
STUDENT-LED CHAPELS & BREAKOUT
GROUPS: Students take an active role in shaping our weekly chapel experiences. They lead worship, share personal testimonies, read Scripture, and pray—creating a meaningful and relatable environment for their peers. Once a month, chapel includes breakout groups where students gather in small, gender-based groups to discuss life, faith, and relevant topics in a safe, encouraging setting.
A History of Success
MVCA students consistently achieve at a high level—earning national recognition, excelling on standardized tests, and gaining admission to their top-choice colleges. From National Merit Finalists and perfect ACT scores to acceptances into prestigious institutions, including the United States Naval Academy and West Point, our students demonstrate their preparedness to lead and serve with excellence. At MVCA, we are committed to equipping students to impact the world for Christ as they walk boldly in the calling God has uniquely placed on their lives.

8th grade students and MVCA faculty ventured to Washington, D.C. to take part in an exciting interdisciplinary experience. The trip to our nation’s capital was an eye-opening journey that brought history, science, and the Bible to life! Visits to memorials, museums, and historic landmarks o ered a unique hands-on learning experience that sparked curiosity and deep conversation. Most memorable were times of prayer and reflection that our students took part in individually and collectively. The serene beauty of the destinations provided real and poignant reminders of the sacrifices made by many.
ARLINGTON NATIONAL CEMETERY
The trip underscored the importance of experiential learning and connecting with curricula at a deeper level. It not only deepened student understanding of America’s past but also inspired them to think about their role in shaping the future. Our second trip to Washington, D.C. o ered a rich variety of experiences, blending the past and present in a way that left a lasting impression on chaperones and students alike.
8th Grade trip to washington d.c.
Our students were incredibly respectful. MVCA had the honor of not only watching the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier but also of participating in a wreath laying ceremony, where four of our students (who were randomly chosen via drawing ahead of our trip), performed duties in the solemn ritual. The wreath was adorned with the name Miami Valley Christian Academy, which we were all proud to see on display. The experience was beautiful and moving.
Cultural Exchange program
In October 2024, Miami Valley Christian Academy launched a short-term cultural exchange program as part of the return of the International Student Program. The inaugural exchange welcomed four students from the Modern American English School (MAES) in Antigua, Guatemala—Santiago, Sofia, Gianpiero, and Naomi. The fruitful collaborative e orts of Patricia Ruiz, MAES Director; Kim Vincent, 20-year International Student Director; Paige McElfresh, MVCA Admissions Director; Erin Conn, Head of Upper School; and Jill Beasley, Advancement Director brought this vision to life. These students eagerly immersed themselves in the MVCA community, not only shadowing Upper School students during the school day but also actively participating in campus life. They even helped lead worship in
chapel and shared their experiences by speaking to students during the services. Beyond the school day, they enjoyed time with their host families and engaged in activities such as camping trips and visits to special places in Cincinnati.
Supporting this initiative, Miss Patty and her team from the MAES visited MVCA to provide guidance to the students and engage with the broader MVCA school community. Their presence cultivated a meaningful cultural exchange and helped initiate a great partnership between MVCA and MAES. The short-term cultural exchange marks an exciting step toward even more Kingdom engagement for students at the Academy. With a mission to impact the world for Christ, MVCA believes in supporting meaningful opportunities for students to learn from one another and build lasting connections with other believers across cultures.
music
The Gallery Walk is an annual celebration of creativity, art, and faith. This school wide event features a diverse collection of artwork from grades K-12, including ceramics, photography, mixed art, drawing and painting. Each piece of art reflects and honors God’s unique creativity and beauty He has instilled in our students. The Gallery Walk has truly become a cherished tradition in the MVCA community, filled with connection, inspiration, and incredible talents on display.
At MVCA, we believe music is a gift from God, meant to glorify Him, inspire creativity, and build community. Our K-12 music program nurtures excellence, joyful expression, and worship. In Upper School Band and Choir, students continue to grow in skill and confidence as they learn to perform and use their talents for God’s glory. Whether playing spirited pep band tunes or singing in harmony, they build lasting friendships while making a joyful noise unto the Lord (Psalm 98:4).
Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth; break forth into joyous song and sing praises!

FINE ARTS
“The theatre program is more than just an extracurricular activity— it’s a space where students find a place to belong, express their unique God-given talents, and work together to create something greater than themselves.”
At MVCA, the theatre program is more than just an extracurricular activity—it’s a space where students can grow, develop, and learn to lead with the gifts God has placed within them. Whether they’re on stage or behind the scenes, our students gain invaluable life skills that extend far beyond the theatre. We are committed to building their confidence and character in a collaborative, inclusive environment where teamwork and unity is at the heart of everything we do. Here, students find a place to belong, express their unique God-given talents, and work together to create something greater than themselves.
What truly sets our theatre program apart is our unwavering focus on Christ. We believe that through the talents He has blessed us with, we are called to honor one another and glorify God. As Matthew 5:16 reminds us, “In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” Whether it’s through singing, dancing, helping with costumes and props, or running technical aspects like audio and lights, our students are learning to serve each other with joy, hard work, and dedication, and to shine God’s light in everything they do. It’s an honor to witness these young artists’ growth and see them use their gifts to impact both their peers and the community.

AND THE
TECHNICOLOR
We kicked the year o with Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat—and what a dream it was! From golden sequins to glittering dance numbers, the production sparkled with energy, joy, and color. Beyond the dazzling spectacle, Joseph’s journey reminded us that even in trials, God has a greater plan of redemption and hope.
Our spring musical, The Sound of Music, the beloved classic that has captured hearts for generations, brought nostalgia and joy to the MVCA stage. With the first-ever live orchestra in Founder’s Hall, the music soared while the spirited Von Trapp children captivated the audience. It was a beautiful reminder of the power of family, faith, and song.
THE LITTLE MERMAID
Our Middle School students lit up the stage with The Little Mermaid Jr., a production filled with shimmering costumes, unmatched talent, and a sea of unforgettable characters. This timeless tale of rebellion and redemption reminded us that God weaves all things together for good. What a joy it was to be “part of that world.”
Lower School students share their gifts each year through Christmas and Easter performances that celebrate the story of Christ’s deep love. These programs highlight the joy, creativity, and faith of our youngest learners as they bring these meaningful seasons to life on stage.

Every autumn, our community eagerly anticipates Fall Bash, an annual celebration conceived by the Beasleys to ensure that every student and sta member feels loved, valued, and appreciated. The day begins with the lower school students embarking on a delightful hayride around campus that culminates in a charming pumpkin patch—an inviting space where each child selects their own pumpkin to take home. Meanwhile, the upper schoolers receive a festive lunch treat featuring a medley of fall-flavored treats, including kettle corn, pumpkin donuts, and steaming cups of hot cider, all designed to evoke the spirit of the season. Following lunch, they enjoy their own hayrides, extending the day’s playful energy. In a heartwarming tribute to our educators and sta members, we kick o their day with a serving of seasonal treats and freshly made mulled apple cider followed by a complimentary fall-themed lunch, this year deliciously catered by City Barbecue. The passion and warmth of Fall Bash resonate throughout our MVCA community, leaving everyone with cherished memories of feeling truly special.

Homecoming is a special memory for most high schoolers, and my experience lived up to the excitement. At the Tailgate Party, I played Judah the Lion, MVCA’s mascot. Even behind the costume, I could feel the cheerful and energetic vibe. After retiring the suit, I joined in the fun and enjoyed the food. The highlight, though, was the student section at the Homecoming game.
In previous years, I played in the Pep Band and missed the intense game atmosphere. This year, I stood with the student section, cheering, jumping, and celebrating as the MVCA Lions dominated Manchester. The crowd’s energy was unforgettable as we cheered our team on to victory.
GRANDPARENTS MILK & COOKIE NIGHTS
This year we expanded our o ering of Milk & Cookies Night with Judah the Lion to even more GRANDS! Our Preschool -1st grade students brought their Grandparents or Special Friend to an evening of cookie dunking, toe-tapping sing-a-longs, and bedtime stories with Judah-our school mascot!
GRANDPARENT MORNING WITH 2ND-5TH GRADES
Grandparent Morning invited GRANDS and Special Friends to campus for a classroom visit, selfie stations, custom sugar cookies, and lots of fun! The Spirit Shop and Lion Café were open for visits as well to pump up the gear for the Homecoming Football Game later that evening! We love making our GRANDS feel like a kid again!
Our Fifth Grade Community looks forward to this experience every year!
4th grade shawnee trip
Through interactive exhibits and presentations, students had the opportunity to deepen their understanding of scripture and its cultural context, enriching their spiritual growth. This Field trip to The Ark Encounter not only enhances their academic knowledge, but also helps to foster a deeper connection in their relationship with Christ as well as strengthen bonds with all 5th grade students.
This overnight trip o ers our 4th grade Community an exceptional educational experience, integrating lessons from science, history, Bible, and occasional math applications. Students visited historic sites like the Rankin House and the Portsmouth Floodwall and engaged with local history and environmental studies firsthand. Guided by a Shawnee Naturalist, they explored nature through bird hikes, creek activities, and night hikes focused on owl observation. This trip not only enriched their academic knowledge but fostered teamwork, spiritual reflection through devotions, and a deeper appreciation for nature and conservation.

DANCE
A Father-Daughter Dance is more than just a fun evening—it’s a night for young girls to feel celebrated and special—an experience that can boost confidence and leave a lasting impact that can boost confidence and create memories for a lifetime! Beyond the dance
floor, it fosters a strong culture of family involvement in school life, helping to build lasting friendships among families and encourage fathers to take an active role in the community. For newer families, it o ers a warm and welcoming way to integrate into the school community.
EVENT
A Mother/Son event does more than entertain — it nurtures social interactions and peer relationships while creating quality time between mothers and sons. These events encourage deeper emotional connections for both the child and parent and increase student's sense of belonging.
Pancakes and PJs
Pancakes & PJs is a comfy and upbeat middle school social, hosted by the high school Student Council. Dressed in their favorite pajamas, students enjoy a relaxed evening filled with laughter and connection. High school students serve up stacks of pancakes, snacks, and plenty of chocolate milk. The night features something for everyone—Madden and Just Dance tournaments, game tables, and space to unwind with friends. With prizes to win and memories to make, Pancakes & PJs is a perfect blend of comfort, community, and celebration.

MEGA
Miami Valley Christian Academy’s annual MegaMix event is a highlight of the middle school experience, blending worship, fellowship, fun, and service into one unforgettable day. The event kicks o with a powerful time of worship led by a guest band and speaker from a local church, setting a Christ-centered tone for the day. After worship, 6th and 7th graders head to Scene 75, while 8th graders enjoy the high-energy attractions at Urban Air. Both groups bond over games, food, and shared memories. Upon returning to campus, students shift their focus to serving others by partnering with Impacting Tomorrow, a local nonprofit that provides essential items to individuals and families in need. MegaMix is more than just a fun outing—it’s a day that encourages spiritual growth, community, and compassion in action.
