Muubs’ sustainable rug collection expands It now gets even easier to find the right design and the right size rug for your home, the office or the meeting room. We have expanded our rug collection with a completely new design ”Layer-burn”, which is available in 6 sizes. At the same time, we have expanded the existing collections ”Surface grey / sand” and ”Earth rust” with 3 new sizes. The brand new ”Layer-burn” design and all new sizes are in the same sustainable quality as the other collections and are produced at Ege Carpets in Denmark.

HOW ARE THE RUGS MADE? /

The rugs are woven from a very special yarn. The yarn is regenerated and created by collecting, cleaning and breaking down fishing nets. The fact that the yarn is regenerated simply means that it’s manufactured from waste products in a particular type of nylon, and is hereafter converted into a durable rug yarn. The ”Surface grey / sand” collection has a felt backing made of recycled bottles, while the backing of ”Layer-burn” and ”Earth-rust” is made of standard felt. Both backings have an acoustic effect. COLLABORATION WITH EGE CARPETS / In collaboration with Ege Carpets, we have created a number of unique cradle to cradle rugs produced from recycled and upcycled materials. In this way, waste becomes a valuable resource for the benefit of the environment and is given new life as a beautiful interior design piece.
DESIGN INSPIRATION/ The exclusive Muubs rugs are designed by Birgitte Rømer. She is inspired by the course of life and the surface of the earth, which is reflected in the rugs. The rugs are extremely durable and can also be used for commercial use.
