ABOUT MUSICUS HERITAGE
誼樂社自 2013 年在多個本地古蹟場
地舉辦「樂．憶古蹟」社區音樂會系 列，以音樂喚醒香港的歷史。系列同
時為香港年青樂手提供機會，讓他們 透過與國際知名藝術家合作，提升演 藝水平。
這項深受歡迎的項目自 2019 年起獲 香港賽馬會慈善信託基金捐助，其後 更獲聯合國教科文組織亞太地區世界
遺產培訓與研究中心頒授 2022「全 球世界遺產教育創新案例獎」。現名 為「香港賽馬會社區資助計劃：樂．
憶古蹟人情事」的年度活動，內容包 括專題音樂會及公開綵排、古蹟導賞 活動、大師班、走訪校園及分享等。
透過把古蹟故事融入古典音樂和教育 項目，讓大眾對香港的歷史文化有多 重認識和體會。
Since 2013, Musicus Society has presented the Musicus Heritage community concert series at local historic sites in order to celebrate Hong Kong’s history through music. The series also provides opportunities for young Hong Kong musicians to elevate their artistry by collaborating with internationally renowned artists.
This beloved series has received support from the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust since 2019 and was recognized in the 2022 Global Awards for World Heritage Education Innovative Cases, organized by the World Heritage Institute of Training and Research for Asia and the Pacific under the auspices of UNESCO. The Hong Kong Jockey Club Community Project Grant: Musicus Heritage Stories is now a comprehensive yearly program, encompassing thematic concerts, open rehearsals, guided tours of heritage sites, master classes, school visits and sharing sessions. By combining classical music and educational events, the program encourages the public to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of Hong Kong’s history and culture.

座落港島奇力山上的明德國際醫院，
於1907 年按 Granville Sharp 遺願成 立，以紀念其妻子 Matilda Lincolne。
醫院屹立至今，與香港共同經歷戰火、 見證歷史。今年適逢第二次世界大戰 結束八十週年，誼樂社特別選址這裡
舉辦《勇德彌韻》音樂會，送上慰藉心 靈的經典弦樂四重奏樂章。
藝術總監兼大提琴家李垂誼，率領小
提琴手張知行、馬愷喬及中提琴手許 恩樂，演繹浦賽爾、浦羅哥菲夫和巴赫 的作品選段。三位年輕樂手均是誼樂 社每年在全球發掘具潛質香港音樂家 的「年青音樂家招募」得奬者。當中， 許恩樂更是今屆比賽的優勝者，現於
維也納留學的他技藝嫻熟，擁有豐富的 室樂演奏經驗。
音樂會亦設古蹟導賞，同場還有由
D-Day Hong Kong 策劃的小型展覽， 介紹明德國際醫院各人於二戰時期如
何面對逆境，亦透過一本戰時日記，娓 娓道來中國軍人林炳堯參與諾曼第戰 役的事蹟，鼓勵觀眾從多角度了解香港 的二戰歷史。
Matilda International Hospital opened in 1907 on Mount Kellett, as a bequest by Granville Sharp to Hong Kong, in memory of his late wife Matilda Lincolne. Cradle of Courage marks the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II, and the historic venue, which was reconstructed after severe bomb damage during the war, provides a fitting backdrop for enjoying the evocative Baroque and modern music performed by Musicus artists.
Musicus Artistic Director and cellist Trey Lee leads emerging homegrown musicians in these enlightening performances. They include three talented awardees of Musicus’s Young Artist Audition, notably violist Hoi Yan-lok, winner of the 2025 competition, who plays with technical finesse and a wealth of experience as a chamber musician. Together, the musicians will showcase expressive works by Purcell, Prokofiev and Bach, as odes to the resilience, resistance and reconstruction that characterized the turbulent years of wartime.
Besides the concerts, we hope you will also enjoy our heritage guided tour and the mini-exhibition curated by D-Day Hong Kong, which focuses on the war years and charts in parallel the stories of Matilda and the unsung Chinese heroes of the decisive Normandy landings through Lam Ping-yu’s wartime diary. Through Cradle of Courage , audiences are encouraged to discover lesser-known histories and stories of Hong Kong.

ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
一棟唐樓，一本日記，一段塵封歷史。
1944 年，盟軍發動 D-Day，在法國諾
曼第登陸，反攻歐洲大陸，為結束二 戰奠定基礎。戰火中，中國海軍軍官 林炳堯身處戰艦，寫下見聞。十年前， 他的字句在香港一個人去樓空的單位 被意外發現。
林炳堯、明德醫院——他和它看似毫 無關聯，但細看各自的故事，你會發 現戰爭同樣牽引兩者的發展和變奏， 更令其相互呼應，交織出一首刻劃香 港戰時堅毅與戰後重生的時代樂章。
A diary, in a derelict building, carrying a forgotten piece of history.
In 1944, the Allied forces launched D-Day and landed in Normandy, France, commencing the liberation of continental Europe and laying the foundation for ending World War II. As the battle raged on, Lam Ping-yu, a Chinese naval officer, was journaling about his experiences serving on a British warship. Ten years ago, his writings were found inside an abandoned flat in Hong Kong.
Lam Ping-yu and Matilda Hospital, at first glance, are seemingly unrelated tangents. Look closer, and you’ll find that flowing with the tides of war was the prevalent motif in both stories, weaving together an antiphonal movement that illustrates the zeitgeist of Hong Kong’s wartime resilience and postwar new beginnings.

D-Day Hong Kong is a team of young Hong Kongers who, despite their various backgrounds, all found this remarkable story resonating with them in some way. Over the past year, they have been conducting research across the world and curating an exhibition to share this littleknown piece of history with a wider global audience. “Lost and Found in Hong Kong: The Unsung Chinese Heroes at D-Day” is currently being exhibited in Hong Kong and the UK, with an upcoming stop in France.

被《留聲機》譽為「奇蹟」的李垂誼，其與英格蘭 室樂團合作的最新專輯獲《 BBC音樂雜誌》稱讚 為「令人陶醉的親密感……細膩傳達旋律」。李 垂誼早年與倫敦愛樂管弦樂團合作，獲已故指 揮大師馬捷爾讚譽他為「令人驚嘆的獨奏家」和 「卓越的大提琴家」。李垂誼在卡內基音樂廳的 首演贏得全場起立鼓掌，《紐約時報》樂評人托 馬斯尼更讚揚他是「優秀的大提琴家，演繹豐滿 宏亮，情感表達細膩」。
李氏活躍於全球頂級舞台，最近先後於北京國 家大劇院、倫敦卡杜甘音樂廳、米蘭大教堂、巴 黎嘉禾音樂廳、維也納音樂協會金色大廳、華沙 熱狂之日音樂節等亮相。他曾與馬捷爾、阿殊堅 納西、巴舒密特、法朗克、林圖、呂嘉、羅法利、 辛奈斯基及斯羅伯狄努克等音樂大師合作。他 亦曾與各大樂團同台演出，包括英國廣播公司愛 樂管弦樂團、法國電台愛樂樂團、底特律交響樂 團、薩爾斯堡室樂團和倫敦、慕尼黑、羅馬尼亞 電台，以及斯圖加特室樂團等。

Hailed as a “miracle” by Gramophone , Trey Lee was praised by BBC Music Magazine for his “exquisite delivery” and “intoxicating intimacy” in his latest album with English Chamber Orchestra, Seasons Interrupted . The late Lorin Maazel praised him as “a marvelous protagonist…a superb cellist” after conducting Trey with the Philharmonia Orchestra. His debut at Carnegie Hall’s Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage won him a standing ovation, with New York Times critic Anthony Tommasini declaring him “the excellent cellist…with enveloping richness and lyrical sensitivity”
Trey appears at major venues worldwide, most recently at the Beijing National Centre for Performing Arts, London’s Cadogan Hall, Milan’s Duomo, Paris’s Salle Gaveau, Vienna’s Golden Hall Musikverein, Warsaw’s La Folle Journée, amongst others. He has collaborated with many conductors and orchestras, such as Vladimir Ashkenazy, Yuri Bashmet, Leonard Slatkin, Hannu Lintu, Lu Jia, Santtu-Matias Rouvali, Vassily Sinaisky, Dima Slobodeniouk, Yan Huichang; the Philharmonics of BBC, Hong Kong, Netherlands and Radio France, Detroit Symphony, Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra, Camerata Salzburg, Sinfonia Varsovia, the chamber orchestras of London, Mantua, Munich, Romanian Radio and Stuttgart.
As a multi-faceted artist, Trey has re-arranged works to critical acclaim, such as Astor Piazzolla’s Four Seasons of Buenos Aires (debuted with the Trondheim Soloists) and Wang Liping’s The Dream of the Red Chamber Capriccio (premiered with Leonard Slatkin and the Detroit Symphony Orchestra). Trey has given world premieres of Bright Sheng’s The Blazing Mirage and Finnish composer Kirmo Lintinen’s Cello Concerto, both of which were dedicated to Trey.
Trey was the first Asian to win First Prize at the International Antonio Janigro Cello Competition. He has been featured by CCTV, the Financial Times , CNN and Deutsche Welle. As an ambassador of UNICEF Hong Kong, he shared the stage with Yoko Ono and Hugh Jackman at the UN General Assembly Hall to launch The IMAGINE Project.
張知行
Ian Cheung
小提琴 Violin
張知行是誼樂社 2024「年青音樂家招募」優異獎的得獎者，現於美國新英 格蘭音樂學院隨湯惠彬攻讀碩士學位。他早前以優異成績畢業於印第安納 大學積可斯音樂學院，師隨卡連諾夫斯基，早期曾師承馬忠為、王敬及柴 志宏。
張氏熱衷室樂及管弦樂，曾擔任多個弦樂四重奏的第一小提琴手，以及多個 樂團的樂團首席，包括香港青年交響樂團及香港演藝學院青少年音樂課程交 響樂團。他亦曾參與多個由國際知名音樂家主持的大師班，包括古舒尼爾、 布斯維爾、彼得魯舒夫斯基及扎蘇夫斯基。
張氏曾於多項國際比賽中獲獎，包括西班牙巴塞隆拿維多利亞國際小提琴比 賽、紐約國際藝術家小提琴比賽、香港國際青少年音樂比賽，並曾晉身克羅 采國際音樂比賽決賽。他亦曾參與多個國際音樂節，如海菲茲暑期音樂營、 波多因國際音樂節及歐洲藝術音樂節等。
Ian Cheung received an Honorable Mention in Musicus Society’s Young Artist Audition in 2024. He is currently pursuing his master’s degree at the New England Conservatory under the guidance of Kristopher Tong. He previously graduated with distinction from Jacobs School of Music, Indiana University, where he studied with Grigory Kalinovsky. His earlier teachers include Michael Ma, Jing Wang, and Zhihong Chai.
A passionate chamber and orchestral musician, Cheung has served as First Violinist in several string quartets and as Concertmaster of such orchestras as the Hong Kong Youth Symphony Orchestra and the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts Junior Symphony Orchestra. He has also performed in masterclasses led by renowned artists including Boris Kuschnir, James Buswell, Igor Petrushevski, and Peter Zazofsky.
Cheung is also a laureate of various international competitions, such as the Victoria “BCN” International Violin Competition, the New York International Artists Violin Competition, and the Hong Kong International Young Musicians Competition, and was a finalist in the Kreutzer International Music Competition. He has also participated in festivals such as the Heifetz Summer Music Program, the Bowdoin International Music Festival, and the Euro Arts Music Festival.
馬愷喬
Sally Ma
小提琴 Violin
馬愷喬是誼樂社 2025「年青音樂家招募」優異獎的得獎者。馬氏最近在英 國倫敦大學皇家音樂學院完成小提琴演奏碩士學位，師承米拿及史丹地治。 她活躍於獨奏、室樂及管弦樂演出，曾於英國、香港、俄羅斯、澳洲、加拿 大、紐西蘭及美國等地演出。
馬氏於 2022 年於倫敦國王學院修畢音樂學士學位，並透過該校與皇家音樂 學院的合作演奏計劃，師隨新井智子。她早期在香港接受陳炳榮及陳曉彥的 指導。
馬氏曾與多位享譽國際的指揮及音樂家合作，包括艾爾達爵士、韋爾遜、貝 茲、馬迪羅西安、覺斯及艾克等。她亦曾參與多場由世界知名音樂家如卡素 曼及列桃主持的大師班。
在 2022/23 樂季期間，馬氏以合奏小提琴身份與香港城市室樂團演出。她 亦於香港及英國舉辦多場獨奏會及室樂音樂會。她熱衷於古風演奏與當代音 樂，持續探索多樣的曲目與風格。
Sally Ma Hoi-kiu received an Honorable Mention in Musicus Society’s Young Artist Audition in 2025. She recently completed her Master of Arts in Violin Performance at the Royal Academy of Music, London, where she studied under Nicholas Miller and Simon Standage. A versatile and committed performer, she is active as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral player, with performances across the UK, Hong Kong, Russia, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the US.
Ma earned her Bachelor of Music degree from King’s College London in 2022, studying with Chieko Arai through the King’s College London–Royal Academy of Music Performance Scheme. Her earlier training in Hong Kong was under the guidance of Chan Ping Wing and Chan Hiu Yin.
Ma has collaborated with esteemed conductors and artists, including Sir Mark Elder, John Wilson, David Bates, Vahan Mardirossian, Roderick Cox, and Bjarte Eike. She has also participated in master classes with world-renowned musicians such as Charles Castleman and Tasmin Little.
During the 2022/23 season, Ma performed as a tutti violinist with the City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong. She also gave a number of recitals and chamber concerts in Hong Kong and the UK. Passionate about both historical and contemporary performance, she continues to explore a wide range of repertoire and styles.
許恩樂
Hoi Yan-lok
中提琴 Viola
許恩樂是誼樂社 2025「年青音樂家招募」的優勝者。自幼隨父親學習小提 琴，先後師從朱雄震、梁建楓及馬忠為。他曾入讀香港演藝學院青少年音樂 課程，其後於維也納音樂與藝術市立大學取得小提琴學士學位，師從古舒尼 爾，現於同校修讀碩士課程，並同時攻讀維也納國立音樂與表演藝術大學中 提琴碩士課程，師從馬爾舒拿及邁素爾。
許氏熱愛室樂，是 Grace 三重奏與 Ineo 四重奏的創團成員之一。Ineo 四重 奏曾受邀參演歐洲多個重要音樂節，並錄製兩張專輯。2024/25 樂季，他 們於馬德里索菲亞王后高等音樂學院隨皮卓拿深造，並入選維也納金色大 廳室樂季。
他曾隨多個樂團於世界各地演出，包括金色大廳、甘迺迪中心、維也納音樂 廳等，並於 2024 年獲邀為奧地利總統演出，亦曾於澳門回歸二十週年晚會 中擔任獨奏。他現活躍於維也納，並為 HarmonicEnsemble 成員（身兼小提 琴、中提琴及獨奏）及維也納交響樂團客席樂師。
Hoi Yan-lok is the winner of Musicus Society’s Young Artist Audition in 2025. Hoi began studying violin with his father and later trained under Zhu Xiong-zhen, Leung Kin-fung, and Michael Ma at the Junior Music Programme of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna under Boris Kuschnir and is completing his master’s degree there. He is also studying for a viola master’s program at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna with Gerhard Marschner and Johannes Meissel.
A passionate chamber musician, Hoi co-founded the Grace Trio and Ineo Quartet. The Ineo Quartet has been invited to major festivals across Europe and recorded two albums. In 2024/25, they studied with Günter Pichler at the Reina Sofía School of Music in Madrid and were featured in the Musikverein chamber music season.
Hoi has performed internationally with orchestras and ensembles at venues including the Musikverein, the Vienna Konzerthaus, and the Kennedy Center. He was invited to perform for the Austrian President in 2024 and at Macau’s 20th Handover Anniversary Gala. He is currently active in Vienna as a violinist, violist and soloist with Harmonic Ensemble and as a guest musician with the Vienna Symphony Orchestra.

Musicus Society was founded in 2010 to become an international music organization featuring quality performances and world-class homegrown artists. It is a Hong Kong-registered charity with the Hon. Tung Cheehwa as Honorary Patron.

明德國際醫院是香港一間頂尖醫療 服務機構和世界級私家醫院。
