As a young person I am finding more and more that it is important to explore my own person; what it means to be be me. What is it that I believe in? What gives me the ability to so openly express my own perspective not only as a musician, but as a human being? In our culture it is tempting to give in to the overwhelmingly negative incessant surge of Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and all other social media. I find that in the troublesome moments of life when I am most anxious, uneasy, or filled with self-doubt, that I am letting outside forces control what it is that makes me, me. I can be too easily swayed by the actions of others and how they affect my own well being. In times such as this something that allows me to reconnect to who I am is quiet self reflection.
