I My name is Renata. I was born and raised in Mexico City, the most colorful and vibrant city I know. I grew up in an artistic household, with my mum being a theatre and film actress and my dad an incredible musician. With all that creativity and talent came some chaos and financial instability, but I was lucky enough to have supportive and loving parents who’ve always believed in me.
My mum and grandma were born by the sea, so we’ve always had a beautiful relationship with the Pacific coast of Mexico. This connection made me fall in love with the Earth and inspired me to create art that reflects its beauty from a very young age.
I moved to the UK four years ago and have been working as a model, actor, and painter. I have had the blessing of working on amazing projects, including the Barbie film, worldwide campaigns for Sephora and Pandora, and walking in London Fashion Week shows for eco-warriors and sustainable designers Vin & Omi.
I’m currently working on my first art show and on some film projects that I’m excited about. I will also start a course in herbalism and permaculture next year, as I want to merge my passion for the arts and my love for nature to hopefully leave this world better than how I found it.
I don’t have it all figured out, but I’m trusting and loving the unfolding of my path as it comes.

Muse Officielle: Your journey into modeling is unique. Can you share how it all began for you? Was it a lifelong dream, or did it unfold in unexpected ways?
Renata Haro: It all started when I was 17. I got scouted in a supermarket in Mexico, but my mum (who used to be a model as well and knew how tough the industry was) decided I was too young to work as a model. So, I went back a year later when I was 18 and decided to start working, mainly because my family could benefit from the financial help and also because I wanted to save up money to go abroad to a drama school I was accepted into but couldn’t afford. I remember my first job was for a teenage magazine, with my mum always by my side.
Muse Officielle: What fuels your passion for what you do? How does engaging in modeling and art make you feel, and why is it important to you?
Renata Haro : My family is my biggest motivation; they’re present in my heart and mind in everything I do. I want to be able to provide for them and make them proud. Artistic expression such as modeling, painting, music, and acting has saved my life in so many ways. Being able to tap into my creativity and share it makes me feel connected to my authentic self and, therefore, to the world around me. In a way, I feel like it allows me to be of service to others, and that gives me purpose. I truly believe in the power of creativity as a catalyst for change and revolution. Engaging with art makes me a better person, and it’s important to me because I believe that if everyone allowed themselves to open their hearts and connect with the divine source of creativity, the world would be a better place.
Muse Officielle: Creative journeys can have their ups and downs. When the going gets tough, how do you find the inspiration and motivation to keep pushing forward?
Renata Haro: “Siempre puedes salir adelante, no importa lo que venga,” my grandma used to whisper to me growing up. Every time the journey gets tough, I think of her and remember her journey as a working-
class indigenous woman from Mexico who raised seven beautiful children by herself. She was the strongest, wisest woman I’ve ever known, so I think to myself, «If even a little bit of her DNA runs through my veins, I can do whatever I want with my life.» I also find deep inspiration in nature—the spirit of the forests, the endless shades of green in the canopy, the vibrant sensation of diving into the ocean, the stillness and magnificence of the mountains. The beauty of this Earth is an endless source of inspiration for me.
«When we move with authenticity, we call into our lives all the people and situations most aligned with our dreams.»
Muse Officielle: Can you walk us through a day in your life as a model? What’s your routine like, and how do you prepare yourself mentally and physically for a shoot?
Renata Haro: I wake up, make my bed, make a cacao drink, and do my gratitude and meditation practice for 10 minutes. Then I put some eye patches on and move my body, sometimes going to the gym or doing some stretching and yoga at home, depending on how I feel that day, but I usually try to finish with a little dance. I truly believe dancing at the beginning of the day can change my brain chemistry and improve my confidence. Then I play some music while I get ready, have a light but yummy breakfast, and make my way to the location. When I’m on my way, I usually try to visualize how I want the day to go, playing the whole journey in my head—from the moment I arrive until I finish—navigating with ease, confidence, kindness, and love. That sets me up to have an amazing day! By the time I get to set, I feel grateful and open to connecting with everyone there. I try to learn everyone’s names from the beginning
to feel more connected as a team.
Muse Officielle: Reflecting on your experiences, what stands out as one of the most fulfilling moments in your career? Whether it’s in modeling or another creative pursuit, what made it special for you?
Renata Haro: I’ve had so many beautiful moments in this career, and I’m so grateful for each of them. One of my most treasured memories was when I worked on the Barbie film alongside incredible actors, including Margot Robbie, and directed by the amazing Greta Gerwig. Growing up, I always loved Barbies but was never able to get one that resembled my appearance—they were all blonde with blue eyes. I remember my dad going to six different stores once to get me the only Barbie that looked like me for my birthday, but he couldn’t find any. So, being in the Barbie film with such a diverse range of talented actors and dancers was truly a dream come true. I was the only Mexican Barbie on set, so it was a true full-circle moment for me. Another one of the most fulfilling moments was when my family saw me on billboards in my hometown. I’ll never forget the feeling of seeing their faces light up when they saw me up there. I’ve realized that nothing is truly special if you can’t share it with the people you love.
Muse Officielle: Building a community of creatives in London is essential and inspiring. How has being part of this creative network influenced your personal and professional growth? Are there any collaborations or friendships that have significantly shaped or inspired you along the way?
Renata Haro: I love my creative family in London. Most of my friends are incredible artists, such as photographers, stylists, brand owners, fashion designers, jewelry makers, poets, musicians, and makeup artists. All of my friends inspire me so much. It was a bit hard for me to find my tribe when I first moved to London, but that’s why I’m so grateful for creative networks like Divurgent workshops or this wonderful magazine, because they encourage conscious connections among people who are going through similar journeys, so they can inspire each other and

grow. I’m proud to say that both the jewelry and clothing I’m wearing on the cover of this editorial are from small, sustainable, Londonbased brands owned by dear friends of mine. This is an example of how we celebrate and support each other’s journeys.
‘‘Living authentically, lovingly, and bravely is the best thing we can do for ourselves. Be exactly, unapologetically, truly who you are.’’
Muse Officielle: What’s currently lighting you up with excitement? Is there a project or goal on the horizon that you can’t wait to dive into, and how do you envision your creative journey evolving?
Renata Haro: As a model, I’m super excited to start working with more sustainable and ethical brands and people who care about the environment, so I can align my profession with my core values as a human. As an actress, I’m looking forward to embodying different characters. I’m currently working with my friend, who’s an incredible director, Hana Zebzabi, on a film, and also with my partner, Michael Kodi Farrow, who’s a very talented writer and actor, on a theatre show. As an artist, I’ve been working on some paintings and hope to curate my first art show next year. I envision my journey unfolding like a beautiful flower, with different petals reflecting the multi-faceted nature of creative expression—all with love.
Muse Officielle: For those just starting their creative journeys, what wisdom would you share? What lessons have you learned along the way that might guide them in their own paths?
Renata Haro: Beautiful lessons I’ve learned along the way:
•Living authentically, lovingly, and bravely is the best thing we can do for ourselves. Be exactly, unapologetically, truly, who you are. When we move with authenticity on this path, we call into our lives all the people and situations most aligned with our dreams.
•Have your “why” very present and clear— make it big, so that when things get difficult, you know exactly where to reach within yourself to keep going.
•Community is everything; having loving and supportive humans you can evolve with is so important. Choose wisely.
•Finding a balance between being disciplined and determined but also self-compassionate and patient is key. Mental health comes first.
•Give, give, give—time, commitment, kindness. Blessings are circular. We truly harvest what we sow.
•Just have fun, create, and play—firstly and most importantly, for yourself and then for the world. Your unique voice matters.
Muse Officielle: Has your background or heritage influenced your career and creativity in any way? How do you feel your cultural identity shapes the way you approach your work?

‘‘ I truly believe in the power of creativity as a catalyst for change and revolution.’’
Renata Haro: Absolutely, I’m so proud of being Mexican. Mexico has so much history, natural beauty, cultural richness, ancient practices and traditions, incredible art, colors, food, and music. I feel so honored to have been born in such a precious, sacred land. I want my work to always reflect that beauty. I also want to connect with my roots, both indigenous and Spanish. I’m still at the beginning of my journey with that, but the history of my family is full of mesmerizing stories—from my grandma Azucena, a war child from Spain who fled to Mexico and became a talented writer, to my grandma Elsita, who came from a rural indigenous background and raised 7 children by herself. Their stories, food, songs, and wisdom shaped me into the woman I am today, so I always want to honor them in my art.
Muse Officielle: Do you have any daily practices, mantras, or affirmations that help you stay centered amidst the fastpaced nature of your work?
Renata Haro: I try to meditate and pray every day—it keeps me grounded and reminds me of the immense source of life force and love within me. My gratitude practice is also very important to me. In the human brain, anxiety and gratitude cannot coexist at the same time, and we have so much to be grateful for. Also, something that has helped me understand myself better recently is remembering my dreams every morning. In ancient Mexican traditions such as Nahualism, dreams were considered a direct doorway to God, Spirit, and our subconscious mind. I have a dream journal where I write down all my dreams in detail every morning. In doing so, I connect deeper with my authentic self and my intuition.

Muse Officielle: What are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced as a model and artist, and how have you overcome them?
Renata Haro: The biggest challenge for me has been moving halfway across the world to chase my dreams, leaving my family behind. Being so far away from them physically has been very difficult over the years, and it never gets easier. But I find comfort in knowing that being here means I can bless them more, as everything I do, I do with them in mind and heart. Another challenge I faced, and still do sometimes, has been becoming a full-time creative. I came to the UK and started working by painting houses and waitressing. It took a lot of hard work, courage, and faith to become a freelancer and start making a living from the things I love. But I trust the process and believe that taking a leap of faith towards a life aligned with our purpose is always spiritually supported.
Muse Officielle: As someone who cares deeply about sustainability, how do you see the fashion and creative industries evolving in this space?
Renata Haro: This is a great question because, for much of my career, I’ve battled with two very different contrasts. On one hand, I work in the fashion and creative industries, which are some of the most polluting and unethical industries in the world right now. On the other hand, I have a deep respect and love for the Earth. For a long time, I felt like they couldn’t coexist in my life, or I’d be hypocritical. But now I’ve come to the realization that it takes people who care deeply to be in these industries and change them from within. I’ve been lucky enough to encounter people who share the same core values around caring for the Earth and understand the urgency of aligning the fashion and creative industries with sustainable and ethical practices. I’m deeply inspired by them and hope to follow in their footsteps. When you love your home, it activates a spark within you—it makes you want to care for it, protect it, and celebrate it. The Earth is our most permanent home.
Muse Officielle: If you could collaborate with any artist, designer, or creative in the world, who would it be and why?
Renata Haro: Probably Sophia Esperanza, a former model who now dedicates her life to raising awareness about sustainability, food sovereignty, and ecological practices. I’d love to learn from her and follow her steps in creating Eden on Earth for everyone through creativity. I would also love to work with Olmos y Flores, a beautiful Mexican designer brand that reflects nature’s beauty.
Muse Officielle: What does success mean to you, both professionally and personally? Has your definition of success
changed over time?
Renata Haro: We live in a society that sells the idea that success means having lots of money or power, and I used to think that way too. But now I believe that true success lies in the often overlooked luxuries of life, like a calm nervous system, a healthy body and mind, living in tune with the interconnectedness of life, and feeling the abundance of love within us and around us. For me, success is a state of being and, therefore, always within reach.

Investing 101: A Creative Entrepreneur’s Guide to the Stock Market
Investing in the stock market can be an exciting journey and can provide a real boost to your finances. Read on to find out why people invest in the stock market, what is in it for you, and the basics on how to get started with your own investing journey.
Similar to building your business, investing requires some research, acknowledgment of risk, and the right mindset to progress through the good and bad times.
Whether you’re dipping your toes into the stock market for the first time or have considered things like index funds, stocks and shares ISAs, and dividends beforehand, let’s break down all things stock market investing as a business owner.
What exactly is investing in the stock market?
1. Stock Market Investing
• What Is It? When you invest in the stock market, you are essentially buying shares (tiny pieces) of companies listed on an exchange (the UK exchange is called the London Stock Exchange). The goal of doing this is to make a profit. In general, when compared to money sitting in a savings account, historically, investing could potentially provide you with better returns, and this is the main draw to investing. Since 1850, shares have provided an average return of about 6% per year after inflation.
• There are No Guarantees: Remember, there are no guarantees when it comes to
stock market investing. You might make good profits; however, there is also the possibility of big losses. In the worst-case scenario, you could lose all your money.
• Long-Term Approach: Ideally, investors stay invested for the long term—think decades (with a minimum of five years). This gives you time to ride out market bumps and recover from downturns. So ensure you put away money into your investments that you do not require for the immediate future. Therefore, having an emergency fund built (aka 3-6 months of expenses to cover in the case of an emergency) prior to starting your investing journey.
So now you know a little bit more about what stock market investing is and why people do it, let’s learn about how to get into investing.
2. How to Get Started
• Research: Understand the risks involved with investing in the stock market. Investing isn’t like storing money away in a savings account; investors need to understand that it involves risk.
• Pick an Investment Account: In order to buy, store, and sell your stock market investments, you will need to open an investment account on an investment platform. Each platform will vary
in terms of costs, the range of investments provided, and the customer service offered. Hence, it is crucial you fully understand your investment platform before signing up. There are a whole range of investment platforms for you to choose from—examples include Vanguard, Nutmeg, AJ Bell, HSBC, Hargreaves Lansdown, and Freetrade, just to name a few. The wide range of platforms now available has advantages but can often be overwhelming for new investors. One of the main things to look at prior to going ahead with a specific platform is the platform fee. While fees for using an investment platform are often unavoidable, the rise of low-cost investment platforms

• Reduce the Tax You Pay: In the UK, each individual gets a £20,000 tax-free wrapper to invest in, called an Individual Savings Account (ISA). The government created these accounts to encourage more people to invest. This allows you to invest up to £20,000 without paying any capital gains or dividends tax. The alternative to an ISA is a General Investment Account—unlike an ISA, you will start paying dividends and Capital Gains Tax once you have reached the payment limits.
• Diversify: Don’t put all your eggs (investments) into one basket. Diversification helps manage risk. One way to reduce the risk associated with your investments is simply through investing via a fund or Exchange Traded Fund (ETF), which is a collection of many companies.
3.Investing Golden Tips
• Start Small: Begin with an amount you are comfortable with. You do not need a fortune to start; some investment platforms allow you to start investing with as little as £1. As your confidence and knowledge with investing build, you can increase the amount you put towards your investments. Once you are confident enough with the investments you have made, most platforms allow you to set up a direct debit to make payments. This means you do not
even have to think about topping up your investment account; it will automatically happen for you on a monthly basis!
• Acknowledge Mistakes Happen: Most investors will make mistakes when it comes to investing, even the most professional investors. Investing is all about learning from mistakes and not being too hard on yourself when things go wrong.
• Keep it Simple: Not only will a simple
«Investing is a marathon, not a sprint. Slow and steady progress works.»
investing strategy save you time and effort, but it will also keep you interested in investing and prevent it from being something that wears off after a while. A method to keep investing simple is by picking a diversified ETF or fund and consistently topping up the amount (this can be automated through a direct debit).
• Do Not Wait for the Stock Market to Fall: Too many people say that they will start investing when the stock market falls. What they should do instead is start investing as soon as they are ready, as time in the market is more important than timing the market.
The longer your money is in the market, the more time compound interest has to work on your investments. Consistently invest in the stock market, no matter the price—because the stock market fluctuates all the time.
• Beating the Market: Beating the market means wanting to get a better return than the stock market average by picking individual stocks. My advice: do not try to do it, as very few people can actually succeed. The time, effort, and emotion you will have to deal with are far from worth it.
Investing gives you the chance to beat inflation, grow your money tax-free (via an ISA), and provide a way to meet your future money goals. Remember, investing is a marathon, not a sprint. There is no need for Wolf of Wall Street-style stock market drama associated with trading—just slow and steady progress works. Investing consistently and not being deterred by naturally occurring stock market downturns will set you up for meaningful long-term stock market investing.
Simi is not a financial advisor; this is not financial advice—please do your own research before undertaking any investment with your money.

From Self-Doubter to Empowered: Six Mindset Steps to Thrive in Your Business & Life
As an entrepreneur, you only depend on yourself to make things happen, so when you feel overwhelmed and doubt yourself, it is pretty easy to keep yourself stuck.
Being a writer, film director and subconscious therapist, I am very familiar with these feelings. However, I learnt on my healing & empowerment journey, that being stuck is an ILLUSION.
In 2017, I was living in London, working small jobs, living in tiny studio flats and dreaming of having an online business. Why? I wanted location-freedom, I wanted to work and travel, living wherever I desired. The catch
was, I had no idea how to make this happen.
Fast forward to 2020: in the midst of the Covid lockdown, I jumped in, invested a big chunk of my savings and trained in Rapid Transformational Therapy™. A few months later, I was launching Your Best True Self, my online therapy business. My dream lifestyle came to life, step-by-step. I moved out of London to a much bigger place by the sea. I went on solo trips and worked from my hotel rooms. Then, last year, I travelled through France, working from the car and from campsites; until I moved there with my new partner. Now, I am watching the Alps through my panoramic windows as I write
There is a process to take you from selfdoubt to empowerment, and get you to change your life along the way. You see, when the energy feels heavy and jammed, you need to counter it with the opposite energy: one that is dynamic and expansive. It will create a momentum and will help unblock the wheel. That’s what the process is about.
1. Acknowledge where you’re at
Take an honest look at your circumstances. Can you find any areas of your life where you might be convincing yourself that things are okay, when in reality, they’re stopping you from happily moving towards your goals?
I used to convince myself that my previous toxic relationship was okay, that always being at the bottom of the ladder in my work was okay.
Secondary gain is a term in psychology that refers to the benefi ts we unconsciously receive from not doing the things we consciously want to do. This is keeping you away from your dreams! Secondary gain provided me with a sense of safety by keeping me within my

comfort zone and avoiding potential failure, feelings of inadequacy or hurt. Can you spot any of this in your life?
Remember that EVERYTHING is a choice. Moving or staying the same is a choice.
2. What are you choosing to create?
You are clear about your goals, but do you have an appealing vision? Refine what you’d like your next chapter to look like by doing some closed-eye visualisations.
When I did this around 2018, I realised I wanted to help people feel happier and better with themselves. With the help of my intuition and synchronicities, I was led to RTT™, the modality I ended up training in.
Your vision needs to feel attractive and joyful; otherwise, your subconscious mind and body will keep you where you are.
3. What clashes with your vision?
Self-doubt and inaction usually stem from believing you are not good enough, that you don’t belong or that things can’t work out for you. Your subconscious beliefs are responsible for most of your feelings and behaviours. To move forward, it’s important to start shifting the disempowering ones.
Pinpoint the limiting beliefs that are keeping you stuck. If you’re like me, the ones mentioned above may be holding you back big time, coupled with ‘I am unlovable’.Why do you believe these things to be true?
Now, start deconstructing those beliefs and fi nd evidence against them. I assure you, you can, because they’re not 100% true! The truth is subjective here, and you get to choose your own.
List three core beliefs you decide to adopt instead: you are choosing a new paradigm.
4. Nervous system regulation
When guiding myself or clients through this process, old unwanted emotions often surface briefly. They arise to be released. Behind strong negative patterns, there is an invitation to overcome inner challenges, turning them into empowering opportunities.
« There’s no contract saying you can’t change things, saying you can’t experience anything better; there are only beliefs that say so. »
In my business journey, impostor syndrome often surfaced, accompanied by the old and strong core belief that ‘things never work out for me.’
If you experience these tricky emotions, I encourage you not to bury them but to acknowledge them in a safe space. This can include journaling, body scanning, deep
breathing, meditation, or moving your body.
I love practicing mindfulness and presence in my everyday life, with simple tasks like making a cup of coffee, reading, typing on my laptop, having a conversation, etc.
Less overwhelm means more inspired, change-conducive actions. And more joy!
5. What changes need to happen?
Eckart Tolle said, “The power for creating a better future is contained in the present moment: you create a good future by creating a good present.” A mistake we often make is focusing so much on what we want the future to bring that we forget to create a happy, fulfilling present.
Which changes need to happen in your life? Where have you been denying your needs? Which habits can you put in place?
In this part of the process, I decided to break off the toxic relationship I was in and work hard on my business to experience the daily life I craved. There’s no contract saying you can’t change things, saying you can’t experience anything better; there are only beliefs that say so.
There’s immense growth and new life paths available when you make decisions for your highest good. So, what do you choose?
Laetitia Cazaux, Photography by Madelaine Winzer
6. Embodiment in the here and now
Your thoughts, feelings and beliefs are energy and vibrate at a certain frequency – high, low, in-between. Most of what has come into your life until now matched a certain energy frequency.
When your vibrations – your state of being –match the reality you want to create, you will attract and shape this reality.
The embodiment process does not have to be perfect and it gets to be fun!
1. Get clear on the frequency you want to match. I remember a week when I decided to connect to the frequency of abundance. It was amazing. My experiences were being shaped by it, and my perception shifted. By the end of that week, two past clients returned, and money filled my bank account.
2. Come to the body in meditation and let yourself feel the energy you want to embody. Make it bigger.
3. Intend to embody it as often as you can today.
4. Ask yourself throughout the day: what would my future self already living my vision, do? Apply this to both small and big decisions. It’s a fun and powerful tool!
These six steps will most certainly get you out of a rut. Active and light energy attracts similar energy, so you have the tools to create a new positive momentum.
The process I share here is part of a book I recently released: a transformative guidebook in which I lead you through a seven-week journey to create a brighter tomorrow.
It is designed to provide you with more selftrust, positivity and optimism, while helping you implement positive habits, make bold choices and take significant steps towards your goals.
You deserve a happy, exciting and abundant life of your choosing, whatever it looks like for YOU!

5 steps to unleash your creative potential!
Creativity isn’t what we’ve been led to believe. We all have creative potential, but it’s not limited to being an incredible artist, writer, or performer. True creativity flows through the rhythms and rituals of everyday life. It’s an innate part of you; it defines what it means to be human and influences every aspect of your life.
Creativity is about tapping into your imagination to uncover new possibilities. It’s the process of nurturing ideas and bringing them to life. It’s problemsolving, exploring different ways of doing things, and communicating—whether it’s asking questions, sparking new ideas, or negotiating! Creativity is also about collaboration, connecting people, ideas, and resources to create something fresh.
When you recognize your unique creativity
and how your energy flows, everything shifts. You find more ease, trust your instincts, and move forward with confidence. Here are 5 steps to unleash your creative potential:
1. Embrace your creativity
• Give yourself permission to begin : Showing up for your creativity means choosing to start again and again. It’s about having an open mind and being ready for whatever happens. Follow your curiosity and be a beginner. Starting is often the hardest part, so give yourself permission to begin. Make a commitment to your creativity and set aside time to create, play, and try something new.
• Let go of getting it ‘right’: In creativity, there is no right or wrong. Worrying about making mistakes or failing can hold back your creativity and prevent you from starting. When the fear of getting it wrong comes up, don’t let it stop you. Embrace imperfection and choose to move forward anyway.
2. Know yourself
Understand yourself and how your unique energy works. Creativity is about allowing your ideas to flow through the lens of your individuality.
Understanding yourself and how you function best allows your creativity to flow more naturally.
There are many ways to get to know yourself, but my favourite is
Human Design—a self-awareness system that shows you how your energy works. Human Design found me back in 2020. I had a reading which resonated so deeply I felt totally SEEN! I’ve been following the thread closely, using the insights from Human Design to guide my creative process and enhance my self-knowledge.
We live in a world that pushes us to fit neatly into predefined boxes, often forcing us to mute or leave behind parts of our uniqueness in order to blend in. Human Design shows us how unique we all are, showing that your creative process is completely distinct from anyone else’s.
Dolly Parton once said, “Find out who you are and do it on purpose,” and that’s exactly what Human Design helps you do. It allows you to rediscover the parts of yourself you’ve forgotten, so you can turn the volume back up and fully embrace them.
Get to know yourself, and learn to value your ideas and your unique perspective. You can learn more on my website, where I offer a free ‘Do It on Purpose’ guide to help you reconnect with your unique creative magic.
3. Trust your timing
Our creativity is not linear; it ebbs and flows as our energy levels and life circumstances change. Get real about how much time you have to commit to your creativity.
Remember, small steps add up. Your creativity and you are a body of work, building over time. Projects and ideas don’t have to happen all at once.

When my daughter was born, I began collaging postcards in the stolen inbetween moments while learning to be a mum. Taking 10 minutes here and there with easy-to-pick-up materials kept me creating. Now, three years later, these postcards have been the one consistent thing helping me tap into my creative magic and gather any insights that come to me each day.
Find structure to support you exactly where you are now. Set yourself up for success; make it easy to show up in the creative season you are in. Just 10 minutes of creativity each day creates a huge body of work over a year. When there’s more time, use it, fill it with creativity. If a day or week goes by without time to create, write down your ideas and come back to them when you have time again.
4. Connect
Creativity flows through your connections with others, your surroundings, your inner self, and something greater. Take time to nurture your creative essence and reignite your creative energy.
Connect with others. Find your people, join communities, show up to events. Put yourself out there and express your ideas. Share what you’re working on and what you’re creating. Let people see your work and hear your ideas, even if it feels scary.
Connect with the world around you. Write in
a coffee shop, draw on a park bench, listen to conversations on the bus. Watch the sunset, get up for sunrise. Mix things up, take a different route home, eat something new, see the movie you’ve been looking forward to, and refill your creativity and inspiration reservoir.
Connect to yourself and something greater. Make time to step off the world to hear
«Creativity is about tapping into your imagination to uncover new possibilities.»
yourself. What do you think? What do you feel? Listen to that inner knowing, even when it’s just a whisper. Learn to hear and trust your unique perspective.
5. Make your life a work of art
Our world often tells us to consume more than we create. It tells us to look outside ourselves for the solution, to ask someone else for the answer.
Ask yourself, what do you want to create? Focus and move towards it daily.
Creativity is your superpower; use it to shape your reality.
Pay attention to the creative wonders surrounding you and incorporate them into your daily life. Appreciate the stunning sunset, let the music that resonates with you wash over you, and enjoy the process of preparing a delicious meal. Every moment matters—recognize them and train your mind to see even more.
As a human being, you are creating every day. Reflect on everything you’ve created up to this point. Choose to make yourself and your life a work of art.
Embracing your creative potential is a journey that involves self-discovery, connection, and continuous exploration. By giving yourself permission to begin, understanding your unique energy, trusting your timing, and connecting with others, you can unlock a wealth of creativity within you. Remember that creativity isn’t a destination; it’s a process that flourishes through practice and exploration.
So, take these five steps to heart, and let them guide you as you navigate your creative path. The world is waiting for your unique voice and vision—go out there and share it!

Nourishing the Mind: How the Gut and Your Genes Shape Mental Health.
As a creative entrepreneur, juggling multiple projects and tight deadlines while navigating the challenges of the creative industry can be demanding.
Whether you’re an actor, photographer, director, or model, maintaining mental clarity and emotional balance is crucial for staying productive and innovative. Yet, many overlook the significant role nutrition, gut health, and even your genetic code play in shaping mental well-being.
Recent advances in nutrigenomics—the study of how genes interact with nutrition— shed light on how your unique genetic makeup affects your brain and gut health, both critical components for mental wellness
Understanding this connection can help you make targeted choices to nourish your mind and improve focus, creativity, and emotional resilience.
The Gut-Brain Axis: A Critical Connection
The saying «gut feeling» holds more truth than we ever imagined. The gut and brain are intricately connected through the gut-brain axis, a communication network that links the central nervous system with the gut microbiome. In fact, about 90% of the body’s serotonin—a neurotransmitter that regulates mood and anxiety—is produced in the gut. This explains why gut imbalances can lead to mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, and brain fog.
For creatives, whose work thrives on mental clarity and emotional resilience, a healthy gut is vital. Diet plays a huge role here, as certain foods can feed beneficial bacteria in the gut, while others can trigger inflammation and dysbiosis (microbial imbalance). However, not everyone reacts to food in the same way, and this is where your genes come into play.
Nutrigenomics: Your Genes and Nutrition
Nutrigenomics explores the relationship between your genetic code and your diet, offering personalized insights into how your
body processes nutrients. Certain genetic variants can influence your gut health, how you metabolize food, and ultimately, how your brain functions.
Key Genes Impacting Gut and Mental Health
• MTHFR: The MTHFR gene is responsible for converting folate (vitamin B9) into its active form, essential for methylation—a biochemical process that supports detoxification, DNA repair, and the production of our mood chemicals. Variants of this gene can lead to poor methylation, resulting in an increased risk of anxiety, depression, and brain fog. Additionally, these variants can impair gut health by affecting the absorption of key nutrients required for proper gut function.
• COMT: The COMT gene helps break down dopamine, a neurotransmitter that regulates mood, focus, and creativity. Some people have a slower variant of this gene, leading to excess dopamine. While this might sound beneficial for creative focus, it can also heighten stress and anxiety, especially in high-pressure environments. The gut plays a role here too, as gut inflammation can worsen COMT-related mental health issues by increasing stress hormones like cortisol.
• SLC6A4: This gene affects the transport of serotonin, our happy hormone produced in the gut. Variants of the SLC6A4 gene can make someone more susceptible to mood disorders, particularly in stressful environments. Optimizing gut health

with the right diet, probiotics, and stressreducing techniques can improve serotonin production and mental well-being.
• CYP1A2 (Caffeine Metabolism): The CYP1A2 gene influences how quickly or slowly you metabolize caffeine. If you have the slow version of this gene, too much caffeine can increase anxiety and disrupt sleep, both of which harm mental clarity. Caffeine also impacts gut health, and those with slower caffeine metabolism may experience gut irritation or inflammation.
«For creative entrepreneurs, where mental sharpness and stress management are critical, optimizing gut health can significantly enhance daily performance and long-term mental resilience.»
The Gut: Your Second Brain
For those living fast-paced, high-pressure lives, gut health becomes even more critical. When you’re under stress, the gut
often takes a hit, manifesting as digestive issues like bloating, constipation, or even food intolerances. But the impact extends beyond digestion—imbalanced gut bacteria can release inflammatory signals that affect brain function, mood, and mental performance.
The Microbiome’s Role in Mental Health
• Probiotics for Mood: Certain strains of probiotics (like Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium) have been shown to support the production of GABA and serotonin, chemicals that promote calm and focus. Including fermented foods like miso, sauerkraut, kimchi, and kefir in your diet can naturally boost these beneficial bacteria.
• Prebiotics for Brain Function: Prebiotics, which feed the good bacteria in your gut, are also important for mental health. Foods high in prebiotics, such as onions, garlic, and asparagus, help foster a healthy gut environment that can reduce anxiety and improve cognitive function.
For creative entrepreneurs, where mental sharpness and stress management are critical, optimizing gut health can significantly enhance daily performance and long-term mental resilience.
Balancing Your Diet Based on Your Genes
One size does not fit all when it comes to diet, particularly for mental health. Nutrigenomic testing can reveal how your body processes various nutrients, allowing you to make adjustments tailored to your genetic blueprint.
Melanie Flood, Photography by Hester Barnes
For example:
• If you have an MTHFR variant, you might benefit from methylated B vitamins to support neurotransmitter production and reduce mental fatigue.
• A slower COMT variant might require dietary strategies to manage dopamine levels, such as incorporating magnesium to calm the nervous system and improve stress resilience.
By understanding how your genes affect your nutrient needs, you can make targeted dietary changes that will not only improve gut health but also bolster mental clarity, emotional stability, and creativity.
A Personalized Approach to Mental Wellness
Creatives and entrepreneurs are constantly juggling multiple demands, which can take a toll on mental health. However, by tuning into your gut health and genetic predispositions, you can take control of your well-being.

Behind the Lens: Norval Bell’s Path from Model to Agency Founder!
Muse Officielle: : What was the driving force behind your shift from a modeling career to founding your own agency, and how have your personal experiences shaped this new venture?
Norval Bell: Hard question to answer. I’ve always been open to opportunities and never actually set out to open my own agency. I got involved in the industry as a model back in 1998 after being scouted in Australia. I returned to the UK in 2001 and moved to
London to further my career. It wasn’t as easy as I thought it would be, but I had so much fun along the way. I worked various bar jobs and did all sorts of things to keep the money coming in when the modeling work was slow.
You have to be patient in this industry, but that patience paid off, and I had some amazing experiences while meeting incredible people. By pure luck, I found myself fitting the “perfect size medium” and had clients wanting to use me as their in-house model for both fittings and e-commerce.
Building these relationships was key to branching out later, as people would leave one company to join another and often took me with them. The same people suggested on numerous occasions that I should consider starting my own agency, planting the seed for what would eventually become my new venture.
« Keep the momentum going, the little things add up. »
Muse Officielle: Transitioning from being a model to running an agency must have come with its own set of challenges. Can you share some of the key obstacles you faced and how you tackled them?
Norval Bell: Starting my own agency was more a stroke of luck than anything else. I found myself in high demand in the fittings world, where clients would literally tailor their clothes to my body. I was seen as a standard medium size and accumulated a lot of clients through word of mouth. I would travel from one client meeting to the next on my motorbike. I knew reliability would be crucial to maintaining these clients, so I stopped attending major commercial castings and focused on building a solid client base.
I met my business partner, Jonny Sydes, at a Fire Trap launch in 2010. We spoke briefly about the industry, and I mentioned how the idea of starting an agency had been suggested to me by people in my network. I jokingly said, “I couldn’t think of anything worse!” But two weeks later, Jonny called and gave me the nudge I needed. The rest is history.
Muse Officielle: Reflecting on your journey, what are some profound insights and lessons you’ve learned that could inspire other creative entrepreneurs, especially those facing growth and innovation challenges?
Norval Bell: You have to think outside the box. One of the key factors that helped us in the beginning was understanding that models

talk to each other, often about pay and their agents. An unhappy model is never a good sign, so we made sure to pay them within a month, even if we hadn’t been paid ourselves.
This consistency built our reputation, and I’m pleased to say we still have models walking through the door today saying they’ve heard nothing but good things about us.
Consistency and respect go a long way, so being polite and transparent is essential. Our amazing team shares these same values, so surround yourself with good people. You’re only as good as your team and models. We’ve been incredibly fortunate to have the team we have today, as well as past employees.
« Your network is your net worth. »
Muse Officielle: For aspiring creatives who dream of starting their own business in a vibrant city like London, what practical advice would you offer to help them get started and thrive?
Norval Bell: If I could go back in time, I’d definitely do a few things differently. Be open to making mistakes and learn from them quickly. Read a lot of books on business and learn from others who have already made the mistakes you might be heading for.
Network! Your network is your net worth. Be authentic and trust your gut. Our
business has largely grown through the support of clients and friends along the way.
« It’s a volatile market out there, so you need to adapt and work with what you have. Collaborate and have fun.»
I still get booked by clients after 16-17 years, and I’m so incredibly grateful. Keep the momentum going; the little things add up. Sometimes it feels like you’re not getting anywhere, but then you look back and realize how far you’ve come.
Don’t try to do everything yourself. Be aware of your weaknesses. Either work on them or delegate. Delegation is key to growth. Paying someone to handle accounts or retouching, for example, frees up your own time. Utilize that time to reach out to more potential clients.
Muse Officielle: With your recent move to a larger photography studio and your expanding role as a photographer, how do you see the future unfolding for both your modeling agency and your creative pursuits? What exciting innovations or goals are on the horizon?
Norval Bell: Switching from one side of the
camera to the other has been great. I love it. Interacting with people and other creatives is just what I enjoy doing. I’ve always been interested in photography and knew I could turn it into another revenue stream.
It’s a volatile market out there, so you need to adapt and work with what you have. Collaborate and have fun. Social media has changed the landscape massively— models, photographers, and agencies are everywhere. You have to be passionate about what you do and stick to your values.
If you can find a niche, that’s fantastic; if not, then work on relationships. If you can do both, there’s nothing stopping you. People buy into people, so be personable and strive to be very good at what you do. Keep learning and keep seeking advice. Deliver the best you can.

Empowering Creatives: An Inside Look at WorkshopsDivurgent with Hana Zebzabi!
Step into the world of artistic empowerment with Divurgent Workshops, where creativity flourishes and boundaries are shattered. In this exclusive interview, we delve into the vision and passion behind this groundbreaking platform with its founder, Hana Zebzabi. From fostering community to redefining education in the creative industry, Hana shares her journey, insights, and dreams for the future.
Muse Officielle: What inspired you to start Divurgent Workshops and create this awesome platform?
Hana Zebzabi: I guess I started Divurgent because I felt like London had a lack of community and care within the creative industry. The type of care that I would have loved to receive at the start of my career, or to even have access to when I needed a ‘pick me up’.
I wanted to start communities, and I felt like this was the best way. I wanted to change the way people were educated, and I wanted
to see how we could change the world by putting effort into curating classes that helped people and gave them opportunity.
‘‘A day where people rotate, meet, create and build their portfolio. Not only are you building skill, but you’re building connections with people.’’
Muse Officielle: What makes Divurgent Workshops stand out from the crowd in the photography and modeling world?
Hana Zebzabi: The structure of my workshop is what stands out the most. I think it’s my special ingredient, and one that I have not seen imitated yet - surprisingly.
I thought about love… and about the structure of speed-dating. I liked the idea that you get a chance with all people to see who you liked and what worked best for you. So I thought… why not reflect this structure for photographers and models? Have a day where people rotate, meet, create and build their portfolio. Not only are you building skill, but you’re building connections with people. This is something that people really struggle to have access to. It’s what I struggled with. I think community and tribe is key. Not only is it our nature as humans - but it’s important to feel a part of something. And what better way than dividing everyone up and allowing them the same equal time to explore together?
Muse Officielle: How do you choose your team for Divurgent Workshops, and what qualities are you vibing with?
Hana Zebzabi: We get people to apply as we only have 10 spaces - not to judge their ability but more so to understand them, understand their wants and desires - and most importantly see who is passionate.

Passionate people are key.
This is what begins the foundation to having a profound day. For us and for them! Energy is important because it’s infectious. Fill the room with passionate people and there will be countless opportunities to experience greatness. I love when people almost let me into their soul and get carried away, it shows me how much they want this opportunity and how worthy they are of receiving it. Lack of passion quite literally irritates me.
Muse Officielle: Can you take us on a journey through how you design and plan a typical Workshop?
Hana Zebzabi: We get people to apply for a couple of weeks, I choose people as I am the main teacher - and I like to curate a room with different lives, perspectives, and abilities, so that people can truly learn from each other and experience moments they wouldn’t have in their everyday life. Once I’ve read through
all the applications, I accept people, and then we plan their rotations and introduce them to each other so they can have the option of starting early and building a relationship. We used to throw people in without introduction, but with trial and error, felt that creatives get the most out of the day when they have a chance to speak to their ‘partner’ and plan their shoot. We have structured the day and included a Q&A, home-cooked catering & a demonstration I like to use at the start of the day to inspire people.
Muse Officielle: How do you tailor Divurgent Workshops to accommodate participants with varying skill levels and backgrounds?
Hana Zebzabi: I basically research everyone and try to understand what they need by communicating and reading their application thoroughly. I do a little stalk of their links and any social media. I like to put similar needs in the same room - and really the day unfolds in a way that’s always different - because what
the applicants choose to create or focus on is always different. My team members all have varied skills - so there is literally someone for each applicant to guide and help. I really owe it to each and every person on my team - they have displayed such versatility and growth - they’re amazing helpers and give so much time to individuals out of pure love.
Muse Officielle: Got any epic success stories or unforgettable moments from past workshops that really show the impact Divurgent Workshops has on its participants?
Hana Zebzabi: So many... It’s priceless seeing what this day does for people. All of my team have basically quit their jobs and started on their full-time crafts since joining the workshop. I’ve had people come 3 times or more. I’ve had people fly from all over Europe to attend. I’ve had people get signed

from their work conducted at our workshop - as well as giving people jobs in the industry that do not suit me. It’s really about giving back and making sure people have an opportunity to be part of a community that can aid and guide them in their careers.
I’ve had the opportunity to teach people of all ages and give them hope if anything. Just the mere opportunity to be able to work on your skill and be around likeminded people is a fantastic opportunity. I’ve had parents of applicants be inspired to do what they love. I’ve witnessed people form unbreakable bonds, form family, even fall in love… this workshop goes beyond photography and modeling. And that’s what makes it so unequivocally me. It’s free and it’s human - it’s my art school of dreams.
Muse Officielle: Any road bumps you’ve hit while running Divurgent Workshops, and how did you navigate through them like a boss?
Hana Zebzabi: Many! There are always hiccups when working with so many people and running your own business as someone who has had no teachings or guidance. Some of the most memorable ones, at the early stages, were people not showing up when the day depends on an even number. But that’s because I literally charged nothing - my first workshops started at £25. Which when I think back to, is wild - but I had to start somewhere. I think the more years that have gone by, and the more expensive it’s gotten, has actually allowed more serious people to attend. People that wouldn’t think to not show up. I think that was important to learn for me - to actually give this space value. Then people respect it more. I would have loved for it to be free - but in order for us to grow, we have to charge people for our time, skills, and efforts. Because at the end of the day - it’s worth it.
Muse Officielle: How important are networking and community/building a tribe in Divurgent Workshops, and how do you make those connections happen?
Hana Zebzabi: Very. It’s the sole reason it exists. My team and I have a very loving nature - it makes people feel like home… so I try to install this energy into everyone so that the day is filled with a welcoming energy. We also try and urge people to speak to one another and we always repeat how much of a safe space it is - so that people who are nervous try to feel comfortable.
Muse Officielle: Any hot tips for budding photographers and models who want to slay in the industry?
Hana Zebzabi: Is it like, really really cheeky to say come to my workshop? Come and learn from me and I promise you it’ll shift your life! Otherwise just assist people and shoot whenever you have free time. Build your skill early!
Muse Officielle: What’s your big dream for Divurgent Workshops in the future, and how do you see it growing and glowing over time?
I wanted this to become a school of some sort. I mean, I still do. But I’m still umming and aahing. I’m quite happy with where it is right now - I always want the most from myself within my career and Divurgent is really my baby… so I’m very happy to take my time with her. I really care about helping people and I don’t feel the innate need to rush this too much. But imagine this, schools all over the world, art camp, or summer school - an opportunity to learn and indulge in education that truly cares about you. Divurgent having studios, maybe even becoming an agencythere’s so many avenues and paths it could take… We’re only 3 years in so I think this can all come when we have grown financially and physically as a business.
Thank you for joining us on this enlightening journey through the world of Divurgent Workshops. We extend our gratitude to Hana for sharing her inspiring insights and aspirations with us. Keep an eye out for upcoming workshops and opportunities to join this vibrant community!
