ATXURRA ANIMAZIO TALDEA (Director / Directrice : Bego Vicario) http://www.kimuak.com/eu/laburra/2017/areka
Areka is the fruit of the creative collaboration of twenty young artists. The traditional Basque cultural mold (bertsolaritza) converges with audiovisual experimentation, drawing inspiration from a bertso created by Andoni Egaña expressly for this project. All the creators have worked collaboratively, exchanging both techniques and work modalities as well as experiences, and enabling mutual learning. For this reason, this film maintains a great visual coherence. The short film is a work of collective creation directed by twenty young Basque artists, under the coordination of Bego Vicario. The short film interprets a âbertsoâ performed by Andoni Egaña in homage to those who disappeared in the Civil War. Eighty-year-old Euxebi has never known where her fatherâs remains lay, but she has kept her memory alive until her remains have been found.
