MURRAY LAIDLAW Photographer
Chickens I’ve wanted to shoot pictures of Chickens for some time but finding good examples of “fancy poultry” can be quite difficult and getting them into the studio harder still.
One Saturday morning… I was commissioned to shoot some images for a nine year old who had never been in a studio but wanted the experience of a photo shoot to see whether she liked it. Arriving at 10:00 with a selection of outfits we quickly made a start and after a couple of hours we had some great shots. Did she enjoy it? According to mum she loved it. http://murraylaidlaw.com/blog
Recently I had the opportunity to take a few shots of some rescue hens belonging to a client. So I loaded up the car with my Broncolor lights, background paper, stands and Canon camera kit and headed off to Taverham. As it developed into a bright sunny morning I set up the background system outside and left all the lighting gear in the car. You don’t get long with Chickens, they seldom sit still but a handful of corn certainly helps. There are more images on my website but here’s one from the shoot.
