The General Assembly, Expressing deep concern that cases of early pregnancies and marriages cause girls to abandon their studies at a very tender age in Tanzania, Having studied that the rural areas of South Africa subjected to underdevelopment in infrastructure have triggered poor living conditions and illiteracy among the female counterparts, Noting with concern that despite some progress being made, there is still a low percentage of women in politics, Aware of the fact that women representatives are relatively less corrupted and therefore a denser female presence will bring about a stretched degree of credibility to governance in the eyes of electorates, Noting with regret that women are marginalized in the context of position embodying power and authority, Noting with approval that no decision can be taken for the quantitative benefit of an economy if a meaningful fraction of the population, that is, women are left aside, Referring to the Charter of the United Nations which obliges all States to promote equal rights of men and women and to practice tolerance and live together as good neighbours,
