OurHistory
TheRedBrickCommon,formerlyknownastheMulticulturalHeritageCentreislocatedintheheartof StonyPlain,Alberta,andpromotescommunityconnectionsthroughtheoperationofamuseum, publicartgallery,adultandchildrenprogramming,familyevents,aswellasculturalandagricultural programs.
Since1973,ourcommitmenttothecommunityhasgrownintotheRedBrickCommonwhichisnow hometothreelargefacilitiesonsixacresofgrounds.Thecentrestrivestobeacommunityleaderin culturalprogrammingandeventsforthecommunityitservesandvisitorsfromallovertheworld.

Ourmissionistoprovideuniquehistoricalspacesforauthenticexperiencescelebratingourheritage, agriculture,andourcommunities.

TheGardens
Ourexpertlycuratedgardensofferapicturesquesettingfor weddingsinspring,summer,andfall.Thegardensincludean extensivecollectionofperennials,annuals,fruittrees,and foliage,offeringamplespaceforceremonies,photos,and receptions. Inspiringideasforyourcelebrationincludeabarbequeonour extensivegreenspaces,atraditionalgardenpartyoraquaint picniccelebration.
OppertshauserHouse
TheOppertshauserHouseaddsauniquetouchtoyourday.Originallybuiltthree blocksdown,itwasmovedtoitspresentlocationin1987.Thehousehostsour museumcollectionfrom1890to1930sandreflectswhatahomewouldhavelooked like100yearsago.
Builtin1910,itisarchitecturallyuniqueduetoitsunusualEuropeanstyleroof.The OppertshauserHouseisamunicipalhistoricresource,whichinterpretstheurban aspectofourlocalheritageinthesettingofawell-establishedStonyPlainfamily.

Ourmodernartgalleryislocatedinsidethe1925RedBrickSchoolhouse.Thisspaceboaststhe perfectsettingforsleek,elegantaffairswithhardwoodfloors,crispwhitewallsandplentyofnatural lighting.
