Program: Apparel workshops for women from rural and low income communities in Mexico

Aguascalientes First training session for our beneficiary who lives in the municipality of El Llano, Aguascalientes. It took place on Wednesday, March 2-3, 2011, at her home in the locality of Palo Alto.

As part of our first training session the beneficiary, her daughters, and a neighbor, assembled 3 of the 7 garments from our DVD Training Course.

They assembled a school girl uniform (jumper) and a school shirt and pant for boys. Through the assembling process they were taught some of the basic skills required for this beautiful and noble labor.

For our beneficiaries the ability to have a fully equipped workshop and the training needed to start their own business represents a great opportunity to improve their quality of life.

This first training session was more than enough for the beneficiary to realize that becoming a Self-Sustaining Woman will open up a new world of possibilities for her and her two daughters, and this has given her the motivation to continue advancing in the program.
