MEET THE CAST CAMI ABRAHAM (Dorothy Gale) is thrilled to be working with MTWichita! She is a Wichita native and will begin her senior year of high school this fall at Wichita East High. She was recently invited to perform in Los Angeles in a cabaret directed by Bruce Kimmel, Grammy-nominated CD producer. Previous credits include East High’s Mamma Mia! The play has been performed in Wichita, at Bethel College in North Newton, and in Tulsa, OK. Karen is a regular with MTWichita having performed most summers since 1995. MEET THE CAST NATHANIEL MAHONE (Hickory/Tinman), a rising sophomore at the University of Oklahoma, ecstatically makes his MTWichita debut! Regional: Nathan in Fire Shut Up In My Bones (OTSL), Daniel Cratchit in A Christmas Carol (STL Rep), Young Terk in Tarzan and Camelot (The Muny). Thankful for his mentors, OU faculty, and loving family! BRETT COLE YOUNG (Hunk/Scarecrow) is elated to be making

his professional debut this summer at MTWichita in the ensemble of 42nd Street and Kinky Boots, as Scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz, and Underling in The Drowsy Chaperone. He just received his BFA in Musical Theatre from OU in May. Forever thanks to Syd, Mom, Dad, Jake, and Nikki.

STEVE HITCHCOCK (Uncle Henry/Guard) most recently appeared as Vince Fonatine in MTWichita’s production of Grease last summer. Some favorites roles include: Lumiere (Disney’s Beauty & the Beast) and Cornelius Hackl (Hello, Dolly!) with MTWichita, Dr. Frankenfurter (The Rocky Horror Show) with CAC Theatre, and Clyde Barrow (Bonnie & Clyde) with Forum Theatre. During the day he is the Associate Artistic Director and General Manager for Mosley Street Melodrama where he also performs, writes, and directs. summer! Originally from Honolulu, Hawaii, she is currently a rising senior at The Hartt School studying musical theatre. Recent credits include: Bebe (A Chorus Line), Nadine (The Wild Party), and Charity/ Angel (Anything Goes). Love to mom and dad.

HAILEY HYDE is a senior studying music, dance, and theatre at

shows, and is overjoyed to be making his MTW debut! Joshua currently studies Music Theater at Northwestern University. He has performed at North Carolina Theatre in West Side Story (Baby John) and Newsies (Buttons), and was recently a Jimmy Awards nominee. @joshua.messmore

LIZA PICCOLI is thrilled to be back for a fourth summer with

Music Theatre Wichita! This spring, she graduated with her BFA in Dance from Point Park University. Liza has performed in 13 MTW productions and some of her favorites include A Chorus Line (Kristine), Chicago (Hunyak), and Pippin (Player). She would like to thank her friends and family for being the best and most supportive people in the world!

LUKE RANDS is delighted to return to MTW, five years after

he appeared in Newsies, Hairspray, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Hunchback of Notre Dame, and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. He recently graduated from Brigham Young University and plans to move to NYC in the fall.

MAGGIE MAE ROACH (she/her) is a New York native and could not be more thrilled to be joining MTWichita this summer! Recent credits: Bright Star (Lucy), Heathers (u/s McNamara, swing, dance captain). MEET THE CAST BOE BERRY BUTLER (Toto) is making his stage debut in The

Wizard of Oz! When not performing, Berry can be found at home with his brothers Mr. Bananas and Willis (also miniature schnauzers). Berry is a big fan of eating broccoli, playing with toys, and taking long naps in the sunshine. His parents, Maddie and Matt Butler, are longtime friends of MTWichita.

MEET THE ARTISTIC STAFF DEBRA WALTON (Director) is honored to be joining this season of

MTW as the Director of The Wizard of Oz! Her journey to Kansas started over 25 years ago performing as Anita in West Side Story and as Minnie Fae in Hello Dolly! It was that summer she met and became friends with Brian J. Marcum, a friendship that would continue to grow as they traveled the country in the National tour of Annie get your Gun. Debra recently made her directorial debut on Broadway as the associate director for the new play Thoughts of a Colored Man! Crediting MTWichita as a big part of her career success, Debra says “MTW is the place where Dreams Come True!” Her Broadway and National Tours include The Pajama Game, Chicago, The Bubbly Black Girl …, and Cookin’ at the Cookery, in which Debra created award-winning roles that earned her a Drama Desk nomination and a Barrymore Award.

ERIC SCIOTTO (Choreographer) Since appearing in the ’96 and ’97 MTW seasons, Eric has performed in countless regional productions & concerts, 2 tours, 12 Broadway Shows, directed and choreographed numerous plays and musicals and is currently a professor of Musical Theatre at the University of Utah. He’s THRILLED to return to Oz 25 years later! JESSE WARKENTIN (Music Director) “Coming home to conduct this Kansas classic, at the theatre that grew me up and sent me out... it’s a dream come true! To my Kansas family and to my MTWichita family: thank you for all that you have poured into my life.” In New York, Jesse has played in the Radio City Christmas Spectacular orchestra, conducted the international tour of An American in Paris, toured with Wicked and Cinderella, and frequently enjoys work on new musicals in the city and productions in regional theatres on the east coast. CHUCK KOSLOWSKE (Associate Music Director) is thrilled to

return to MTWichita this summer! He has been music director/ keyboardist for many productions in Oklahoma City, Boulder, and elsewhere. He made his New York debut in 2002 at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall. Charles earned degrees in collaborative piano and vocal performance and pedagogy from the University of ColoradoBoulder and is currently faculty at Oklahoma City University.

J BRANSON (Scenic Designer) is proud to have begun his theatrical career as an Apprentice at Music Theatre Wichita over 40 years ago. J’s national tour credits include The Music Man, Beauty and the Beast, and Brigadoon. J’s many designs at MTWichita have included Mary Poppins, Hairspray, Beauty and the Beast, The Drowsy Chaperone, 1776, Sunset Boulevard, and Disney’s The Little Mermaid. MEET THE ARTISTIC STAFF SHANNON SMITH-REGNIER (Costume Designer) is thrilled

to be back at MTW. She is a Kansas City costume designer, and currently teaching and designing at Avila University. Design credits include: MTH, Music Theatre Wichita, Spinning Tree Theater, Theatre in the Park, Kansas City Regional Theatre, KCAT, Metropolitan Ensemble Theatre, Quality Hill, and the American Heartland Theater. She has also guest designed at Kansas University and Wichita State University. She has also worked in the costume shops of Music Theatre Wichita and Glimmerglass Opera. She received her BFA from Wichita State University, and MFA in costume design from Ohio University.

DRISCOLL OTTO (Lighting Designer) Recently, Lighting for The

Life for New York City Center’s Encores! Lighting and Projections for Houston Grand Opera’s Marian’s Song, Lighting for The Huntington Theatre Company’s production of The Purists, Projection Design for Maggio Musicale Fiorentino’s The Flying Dutchman, Lighting and Projections for Becoming Santa Claus at Chicago Opera Theatre. Other credits include Utah Opera, The Old Globe, Drury Lane Theatre, The Dallas Opera, Trinity Repertory Company, Hangar Theatre, Lyric Opera Kansas City, and for Norwegian Cruise Lines. Highlights include projection design for Santa Fe Opera’s production of The Golden Cockerel and The Metropolitan Opera’s production of La Donna Del Lago. MICHAEL COMMENDATORE (Projection Designer) is excited to

be designing his fourth show at Music Theatre Wichita. Past MTW productions include designing Grease, An American in Paris and Freaky Friday. He also programmed Hunchback of Notre Dame. Michael lives in Chicago, IL with his amazing wife, Katie, and cat Sebastian. Michael travels around the country designing projections at places like Chicago Shakespeare, The Public Theatre, Portland Stage, Boston Lyric Opera, DePaul University, Colgate University, Williams College, SUNY Stonybrook, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Emerald City Theatre, Vancouver Fringe Festival, and more. MEET THE ARTISTIC STAFF DAVE MUEHL (Sound Designer) MTWichita’s primary sound designer. During MTWichita’s “off season,” David works for Wichita State, where he is the Performance Facilities Audio Producer and advises technical theater student sound designers. Some of his favorite sound designs have been for The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Into the Woods, Les Misérables, and The Wizard of Oz. JOSHUA HARRIS (Hair/Makeup Designer) is excited to be back for his 6th summer season with MTWichita. Most recently Josh was the Head of Hair and Makeup on the 21-22 National Tour of Hairspray. Additionally he was the Head of Hair and Makeup on the National Tour of a Bronx Tale, has worked with KCFashion week, and has worked on multiple commercials locally. Some favorite projects from his past 5 seasons include In the Heights, Chicago, and the MTWichita Holiday Special. BRADY FLOCK (Property Master) is thrilled to be back with MTW for his 4th season. A graduate of WSU, Brady has been building props professionally for over a decade for live theatre, film, escape rooms, and even renaissance festivals. Currently, Brady is pursuing his master’s degree at North Carolina School of the Arts. AMANDA BOWMAN (Company Manager) started her career

with MTWichita as an apprentice in 2005 and has had numerous titles since then. She joined the Music Theatre Wichita team fulltime as development & marketing coordinator in 2019, and began her current role in 2022. Amanda is a Wichita native and Wichita State alum. She has worked all over the country as a stage manager and is thrilled to be back home working with the best teams in the business.

MITCHELL SOUTHERLAND (Director of Production) is excited

to be part of the 2022 season, his ninth and final! Mitch graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a BFA in scenic technology and will return to school this fall to earn a JD from Washburn University School of Law. JACOB KRAMER (Wardrobe Supervisor) has spent summers

with Music Theatre Wichita since 2014, as a teen choir member, an apprentice, an intern, a performer, a crew member, and now couldn’t be more delighted to serve as a supervisor! All love and gratitude to family and friends for their love and support.

KYLA MANSFIELD (Paint Shop Charge) has been painting, collaborating, and creating in Wichita for near ten years. She has had several painting credits around town at MTYP, Wichita Children’s Theatre, Roxy’s Downtown and MTWichita. She would like to thank her family on and off stage. Buffalo, NY and has worked as a Stage Manager in the professional theatre scenes of Buffalo, Boston, Pittsburgh, and Omaha. Ally is absolutely thrilled to be back at MTWichita for her 4th season with this wonderful company and its incredible people. Enjoy the show!

ERIN MITTMAN (Stage Manager) (she/her) is grateful to be at home with the Stage Management team at MTWichita since beginning as an apprentice in 2016. Working extensively in Wichita after graduating from Wichita State in 2021, she recently served as the Production Assistant for the National Tour of Fiddler on the Roof.

JENNIFER FISHER (Sign Language Interpreter) is ecstatic to

return to live theatre. This will be my 14th season with MTW, having translated and performed over 50 shows. Grateful to all at MTW for the opportunity to create a meaningful performance for the Deaf community. Love to my family Grant, Kara and Stephanie.

EDWARD STURM (Assistant to the Artistic Director/Dramaturg) is always thrilled to “come home” to MTWichita, where he has spent a part of every summer since 2011. Favorite music direction credits include West Side Story, Little Women, Next to Normal, title of show, Into the Woods, Aida, She Loves Me, and Guys & Dolls. Awards include Outstanding Music Direction for 6 productions by the American College Theatre Festival. He teaches music and theatre at Northeast Magnet High School, Philip was a semi-finalist for Distinguished Classroom Teacher for secondary schools in USD 259. He is a member of NAfME, ACDA and the Educational Theatre Association. Besides work in the theatre, Philip serves as music director for the Young Spirit Choir at East Heights United Methodist Church.

GABRIELLE EJIBE (Munchkin Camp Director/Choreographer)

started her career early on in Wichita, KS performing as a teen at Music Theatre Wichita. She earned her BFA in Musical Theatre from Wichita State University. Currently, Gabrielle choreographs for children’s theatres across the country. Some of her credits include: The world premiere of Disney’s Descendants and Wichita State University’s stage production of I Love Because. Gabrielle is thrilled to be returning home to her roots and very grateful for this opportunity. 59
