LOGAN BECKER (Andy Lee) he/him is making is Music Theatre

Wichita debut. Other recent credits include Pajama Game (Ensemble) and Head Over Heels (Dametas) at the Chicago College of Performing Arts. From Omaha, Nebraska, Logan is now a Junior at CCPA studying musical theater with a dance concentration.

BRAY WILKINS (Pat Denning) has had the pleasure of performing

professionally in both musical theater and operatic repertory across the country. But his greatest accomplishments are being the father of two wonderful children, and somehow convincing his beautiful wife to marry him.

MIYA HEULITT (Lorraine) is so excited to be performing at

MTWichita this summer! Originally from Honolulu, Hawaii, she is currently a rising senior at The Hartt School studying musical theatre.

GARRETT WELCH (Oscar) a Wichita native, works locally as a pianist, vocal coach, and musical director. Garrett has played in many orchestras and rehearsals for Music Theatre Wichita over the years, and has also worked with The Crown Uptown Theatre, Wichita Grand Opera, Empty Space Theatre at WSU, Painted Sky Opera in OKC, and the Opera & Musical Theatre Company of OCU. JESS ZYLSTRA is from Sydney, Australia. She is a rising senior

at the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music (CCM). Jess has recently appeared in CCM’s productions of Pippin (Player, Dance Captain and Assistant Choreographer), 42nd Street (Ensemble), and Bright Star (Swing). She was also seen in The Carnegie’s production of The Sound of Music (Sister Margaretta).

Music Theatre Wichita's performance of 42nd Street is near and dear to Amy Baker Schwiethale's heart. Amy is a professor and program director of musical theatre at Wichita State University and portrayed Phyllis Dale on the First National Broadway Tour and later played Anytime Annie for Music Theatre Wichita.

Amy presents Master Classes across the globe and was a proud member of the Region V Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival Board, where she was the coordinator of the Musical Theatre Dance Intensive.

Amy is fiercely committed to the preservation of original Broadway choreography and preparing WSU performing arts students to make a living doing what they love.

Her professional choreography credits include Disney's My Son Pinocchio, Honk!, and Camelot. Amy’s choreography has been showcased in NYC at the New York Jazz Choreography Project (Alvin Ailey Studios) and in numerous capacities at WSU as a director and choreographer.

MEET THE ARTISTIC STAFF BRIAN J. MARCUM (Director/Choreographer) is honored to lead MTWichita alongside Managing Director Angela Cassette.

Originally from Tennessee, Brian spent his early years tap dancing, singing in the church choir, and performing whenever he could.

After graduating from Oklahoma City University with a degree in dance performance, Brian spent two summers as an MTW resident ensemble member learning from the master himself, Wayne Bryan. With that arsenal of knowledge under his belt, Brian was able to make a life for himself as a working actor in New York City.

Brian was in the original Broadway companies of The Gershwins’ Fascinating Rhythm, Saturday Night Fever, the 2001 TONY winning revival of 42nd Street and The Boy from Oz starring Hugh Jackman.

Brian also appeared on Broadway as a replacement in The Drowsy Chaperone and Spamalot. Brian, along with his wife Jennifer, toured the country with State Fair and Annie Get Your Gun. Brian was the Associate Choreographer of Elf-The Musical on Broadway. He has been seen on television on the TONY awards (twice) and the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade (thrice). After Broadway, Brian turned his attention to education and became an Associate Professor of Dance in the Ann Lacy School of American Dance and Entertainment at Oklahoma City University (his alma mater) for 7 years and an Assistant Professor of Musical Theater at Syracuse University for 4 years. In 2015 during his time at OCU he was invited back to MTW to choreograph Hello, Dolly! and every season since he has been back. In 2020, Brian wrote, directed and choreographed MTW’s Holiday Spectacular for the local PBS station, KPTS, and was nominated for an EMMY. He is ecstatic to be in this new role of artistic director. Honoring what came before him, Brian is immensely grateful to be able to share his love, excitement and knowledge with MTW audiences. Brian and Jennifer and their children Sophie and Felix love calling Wichita home!

FLINT HAWES (Music Director) is very excited to return to Music Theatre Wichita, where he began his career many years ago.

Between then and now he has had the privilege of spending most of his career touring with Broadway shows such as Jesus Christ Superstar, Peter Pan, The Lion King, Avenue Q, Wicked, Bat Out of Hell, and most recently, the international tour of An American in Paris.

MTWichita. Scene design credits include Evita – American Theatre Guild; Oklahoma, Newsies, Les Misérables and Hello Dolly! - Music Theatre Wichita; Cinderella – Milwaukee Ballet, Gossamer – Milwaukee First Stage Children’s Theatre; Rabbit Hole – Milwaukee Chamber Theatre, Into the Woods, City of Angels and Pajama Game – University of Michigan’s Music Theatre Program; and Seven Guitars – University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. Former Director of the School of Theatre, Film and Television at the University of Arizona, Brockman continues to work as a freelance designer, and full-time musical instrument maker.

DIXON REYNOLDS (Costume Coordinator) is Professor of Costume Design at SUNY Fredonia. He received his B.F.A in Costume Design from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, where he also received his High School Diploma in Acting, and he received his M.F.A. in Costume Design from Indiana University.

His designs have been seen in a broad range of styles from Theatre, Dance, Opera, TV, Film and his favorite, new and experimental theatrical works. He is a two-time recipient of the Kennedy Center/ ACTF Meritorious Achievement in Costume Design and Artie Award winner (Buffalo, NY). Dixon’s professional designs have been seen at Pittsburg Civic Light Opera, Lexington Theatre Company, Music Theatre Wichita, Summer Repertory Theatre, Shakespeare in Delaware Park, Irish Classical Theatre, Kavinoky Theatre, The Hartt School of Music, ArtPark, American Dance Festival and Triad Stage.

MARANDA DEBUSK (Lighting Designer) (she/her) is a lighting

and media designer currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Design at the University of North Carolina Greensboro. Her work has been seen across the US and internationally at the Prague Quadrennial (Prague, 2019) and World Stage Design (Taipei, 2017).

At the core of her work is her belief that the best work is that which, when let out into the world, improves it.

DAVE MUEHL (Sound Designer) is MTWichita’s primary sound designer. During MTWichita’s “off season,” David works for Wichita State, where he is the Performance Facilities Audio Producer and advises technical theater student sound designers. Some of his favorite sound designs have been for The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Into the Woods, Les Misérables, and The Wizard of Oz. 55

AMANDA BOWMAN (Company Manager) started her career with MTWichita as an apprentice in 2005 and has had numerous titles since then. She joined the Music Theatre Wichita team full-time as development & marketing coordinator in 2019, and began her current role in 2022. Amanda is a Wichita native and Wichita State alum. She has worked all over the country as a stage manager and is thrilled to be back home working with the best teams in the business.

MITCHELL SOUTHERLAND (Director of Production) is excited

to be part of the 2022 season, his ninth and final! Mitch graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a BFA in scenic technology and will return to school this fall to earn a JD from Washburn University School of Law. ALLY HASSELBACK (Stage Manager) hails from Buffalo, NY and

her degree in Hair and Makeup Design from Brigham Young University, where she designed the hair and makeup for Hamlet and Fiddler on the Roof. She also worked as the hair and makeup coordinator in their costume shop for two years, styling wigs for the mainstage productions.

JENNIFER FISHER (Sign Language Interpreter) is ecstatic to

return to live theatre. This will be my 14th season with MTW, having translated and performed over 50 shows. Gratitude to all at MTW for the opportunity to create a meaningful performance for the Deaf community. Love to my family Grant, Kara and Stephanie.

EDWARD STURM (Assistant to the Artistic Director/Dramaturg) is always thrilled to “come home” to MTWichita, where he has spent a part of every summer since 2011. Edward currently studies at the Boston University School of Theatre, where he collaborates widely as both as an actor and a dramaturg. Gratitude to his family and to the wonderful people at MTW. CHARLES KOSLOWKSE (Associate Music Director) is thrilled to return to MTWichita this summer! He has been music director/ keyboardist for many productions in Oklahoma City, Boulder, and elsewhere. He made his New York debut in 2002 at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall. Charles earned degrees in collaborative piano and vocal performance and pedagogy from the University of ColoradoBoulder and is currently faculty at Oklahoma City University.

MARY SUE DYMAK (Rentals Director/Drop Fabricator/Archivist/ etc.): WOW! So many seasons (even with the cancellation of 2020), I’ve lost count! Who would have thought that back in 1976, a summer job would turn into such a career!! Being one of the oldest members of the production staff, this will mark stage productions numbering well over 240. In keeping our ever-growing rental business running, I oversee the management of our two warehouse facilities. Last year, with your support, Music Theatre Wichita...

Returned to large-scale live performances in April 2021—earlier than most theatres could contemplate.

Seven productions across the months of April-November, serving 43,000 patrons.

Total of 37 performances: required 60-75 contract workers per production; rented a total of 1500 hotel room nights for cast & crew throughout the season; returned business to downtown restaurants and business partners.

Retained and grew full-time workforce throughout pandemic.

Through extraordinary support from donors, and subscribers; staff efforts to secure unique funding; and production expense control, came within 5% of a balanced budget.
