ommunity entertainment in Mt. Pleasant continues to blossom into a series of events that can’t be missed. The city invites locals and tourists out on the town for a diverse collection of gatherings that drive social and economic opportunity in the region and the state of Michigan.

In June, Michiganders pour into town in droves for the Mt. Pleasant Craft Beer Festival. During this annual celebration, guests pair live music with premium drafts of the greatest brews found all across the state.

Between June and August, local restaurant owner Chris “Elmo” Walton continues the legacy of Max & Emily’s Summer Concert Series. Started in 2008, Max & Emily’s free community concerts have become a summer staple, drawing huge crowds to Downtown Mt. Pleasant on Thursday concert nights.

Central Michigan University (CMU) also hosts events for the community at large. From Division I athletic contests to a celebrity-acclaimed student-run fashion show, CMU hosts more than 500 different events that capture the attention of residents and local students alike.

With so many opportunities for entertainment right down the road — there’s no excuse to stay home!
