SIERRA MADRE WOMAN'S CLUB 44th ANNUAL PRAYER BREAKFAST KICK STARTS HOLIDAY SEASON With the theme, "Reflections on Praise and Thanksgiving", SMWC Co-Presidents Beverly Clifton and Carol Handley began the first of many holiday events in Sierra Madre the day before Thanksgiving. This is the organization's 44th annual breakfast for people of all religious persuasions. The goal of the breakfast is to, "...Praise our community honorees, leaders and volunteers and give thanks for this year's blessings".

The morning began with Sierra Madre resident Chris Hunter performing a stirring rendition of the National Anthem which was followed by speakers Father Michael Bamberger - Ascension Episcopal Church, Deacon John Hyll - St. Rita's Catholic Church, Mrs. Mona Shahgholi - Baha'i Faith, Deacon Michael Cunningham, Mater Dolorosa Monastery, Rabbi Alan Lachtman of Temple Beth David and Andrew Harootian from Bethany Church in Sierra Madre.
