DOMAINE DE BELLENE

Domaine de Bellene was founded in 2005 by Nicolas Potel after the purchase of various old vines in Beaune. The winery was created with a desire to control the entire production process, from the soil cultivation to the wine sales. With over 20 years of experience working with some of the most treasured vineyard plots in Burgundy Today, Domaine de Bellene cultivates the entire 25-ha-estate following sustainable farming practices. The aim is to yield very healthy grapes of the highest quality, while cultivating our old vines (50 to 110 years old) with respect given to the soil. In the cellar the wines are made in a minimalistic format, with little to no intervention; adding almost winemaking additives; no acid, no cultured yeast, nutrients, enzymes, sugar. The strategy is based on respecting Burgundy’s winemaking heritage and maintaining sustainable winegrowing and winemaking techniques. www.domainedebellene.com
